-------------;;;
Inside the castle walls of Lumia kingdom, things seemed to have calmed down a bit although the terrifying purple dome still stood. Since the fight between Kyle and troy, the kingdom's stadium had been completely destroyed, leaving only chunks of wall.
Luckily the fight only destroyed the stadium as troy eventually won, but disaster was still yet to strike. With the arrival of Lynn everything went haywire, and some parts of the castle were destroyed with the defeat of the king. It wasn't a surprise the kingdom took a huge blow, as their ultimate weapon was taken out.
"Hey watch it!" A young maiden yelled, barely avoiding a hovering chunk of wall. She then scowled at the worker, rendering a curse or two snorting and walking away.
'This place sure took a hit, it's a miracle if they can rebuild it.' She sighed, looking at the once beautiful and strong stadium of Lumia kingdom. Renovations were being made, as various royal maintenance crew worked in sync with several artificial intelligence machines, restoring the stadium to what it once was.
'Beep! beep! beep!'
Looking down, her eyes widen in shock seeing the timer on her watch beeping rapidly.
'Shit am late! Not again..' running as fast as she could, she made her way to the castle entrance only to be stopped by the space guards stationed there.
"Stop in the name of the king!" A guard intimidatingly spoke, motioning the maid to a halt his voice full of confidence.
"Are you kidding me? C-come on harry you know me, I basically work here." Marie the maid frowned, clearly annoyed with him. The guard then took off his helmet, his gaze meeting with hers.
"Come on Marie.. don't be such a pain in the ass, just show me your card and you can enter." Harry whispered, stretching his hand out waiting to receive something. Rolling her eyes, she then brought out an item particularly a yellow card placing it in Harry's palm.
"Now that wasn't so hard was it?" Harry chuckled slightly, to which Marie scoffed looking away. Shaking his head, he then swiped the card to a card reader planted on the wall.
[Access granted!]
[Welcome Marie Delore..]
The systematic voice echoed in a dialogue tone with the normal hissing sound, followed by a clank noise as the wall moved to the side open.
"You better hurry up or else you'll definitely be fired this time." Harry teased, handing her the card back. Darting a fiery look at him, she then stomped hard on his toes while he wasn't looking.
"Ahh! Why you-"
"Guess you aren't so tough with your big boy suit." Marie smirked, heading through the wall to the inner castle wall. Everywhere was a bit scanty than before, but it wasn't unusual as this was just the ground floor.
Hastingly walking, she then proceeded to the main kitchen. Several individuals putting on the same maid uniform as her, were busy doing their parts.
"Where in god's name have you been Marie? you're late.." a brunette hair woman in her late 40's approached Marie, she was wearing a chefs outfit.
"S-sorry mom.." Marie nervously chuckled, bowing her head a bit. Sighing, the woman then handed a metal tray to her.
"You know why we're here Marie. Hell, we're Lucky to have our heads right now and it's all thanks to king troy." Susan said adjusting Marie's hair, brushing it to the side a bit.
"He's also the same reason we're in this condition." Marie mumled, earning a hard pinch on her cheeks from Susan.
"We should be thankful with our lives. we're peasants afterall, we don't deserve the good stuff." Susan said in a sad tone, her eyes becoming a bit teary.
"But why? We work ours ass off everyday w-why can't we enjoy the good stuff like the rest?" Marie retorded boiling with anger. She was sick and tired, of having to scrape off the crumbs left by others. As a maid they were the lowest class, basically servants in the castle but she didn't accept it.
She had a dream to one day leave Lumia kingdom for good, and startup a new life somewhere else. But alas, it was just a stupid dream that will never come to pass.
"Never speak of this again. Here.. go now and remember.. we're just peasants, we don't matter." Susan planted a kiss on her daughter's forehead, nudging her away.
'Oh my dear child, dreams are just fabrics of our imagination.' Sighing, she then got back to duty after watching her daughter fade from sight.
"One day mother you'll see." Marie whispered, her eyes shone bright with determination her spirit unwavered. Heading to a particular section on the seventh floor not much people were here, infact only the space guards could be seen stationed in this floor.
'Geez bring down the madness a little.' Marie skeptically glanced at the guards calmly walking over.
Noticing her the guards were on alert, their weapons clutched tightly in their arms ready for anything. Marie could feel the tension in the room, and it wasn't what she'd anticipated.
"My name is Marie Delore, and am the new maid assigned to this sector." She calmly said, handing over her yellow card. Scanning it, the machine shone green indicating she was cleared. Next was a biometric scan, followed by an optical scan and lastly was voice integration scan.
"You're late.." the male guard frowned. Turning round, they then proceeded to an undisclosed spot, particularly a large wooden framed painting of the kingdom. Placing his hand to the center, were water flowed from the outskirts of town down to the kingdom it went through. After a few seconds, a clicking mechanism could be heard followed by a hissing sound.
'Why does everything have to be so creepy.' Marie skeptically said shuddering a bit. She'd never been in the castle much, always running errands across the kingdom so this was technically her first time here. She was fascinated by the sturdy, yet elegant structure of the kingdom. making her wonder, how long it must've took them to achieve such greatness.
"Are you waiting for a royal invitation or something?" The guard voice pulled Marie from her little trance.
"Sorry~" She said in a low tone, slightly bowing her head. Scoffing, the guard then led her into the dim passage illuminated by just a few blue crystal's. Walking a bit, they'd finally reached the end as a huge oval sized machine laid in front.
"Stand over there." The guard instructed to which Lumia nodded, walking over and standing in the huge oval machine. She could see him walk over to a console typing in some commands.
'I wonder what he's doing? And what the hell is this mean looking contraption.' Marie could feel the hairs on her arm, stand at attention. This was the first time she'd ever been this deep in the castle walls, so she was normally on the edge.
'Hiss... Beep! Beep!'
Marie was jolted a bit, from the sudden hissing sound made by the machine. Realizing the mistake she'd made, she immediately regained her composure glancing at the guards.
'Phew.. he didn't see me.' She inwardly sighed in relief, seeing the guard busy typing away. 'I hope that wasn't a test, or there aren't any hidden camera's otherwise am screwed.'
A wry smile formed on her lips. She then heard a clank from behind, followed by the static humming of the machine.
Few seconds passed and the machine had finished booting, a soft ehtreal light shone brightly on Marie's skin.
"Well.. what are you waiting for?" The guard frowned, a vein bulging on his forehead.
"I-in there? But there's nothing there.."
"Are you naturally dumb or what? That's a teleporter, you step through and you get teleported."
"Ohh.. haha! my bad, I've never really seen one of those." Marie nervously chuckled, scratching her head a bit. Rolling his eyes, he then pointed to the teleporter indicating she step through.
"Wait.. what about my test?" Marie suddenly asked, causing the guard to raise a brow.
"Test huh?Just don't die, that's the test." He grinned, causing Marie to gulp a bit. Turning, she was face to face with the terrifying teleporter.
'You got this..' Taking a deep breath, she walked through the teleporter. her whole body immediately disenigrating into particles of light, transmitted to the other side.
"Argh! Teleporting hurts like hell." She groaned, clutching her head as she could feel her whole body hurting in pain.
'Huh.. i-i didn't trip.' She smirked proudly, realizing she'd somehow maintained her balance. Looking round, she saw she was in a small room with dim lighting. In front were two bed, occupied by two male who were in terrible state.
"Wait.. it's him." Marie softly muttered, staring at the first bed immediately recognizing troy. There was a complex feeling on her face, staring at him. She could feel her body shudder a bit, as a domineering presence enclouded her.
"You don't know how long I've waited for this moment you bastard." Dropping the tray, she slowly made her way towards Troy. Her face a mix of anger and fear, of what was to occur.
"2 years.. it's been two long years since you were defeated, and that's how long it took for me to get this close to you." Waving her hand, the bronze ring on her finger chimed a bit as an item magically appeared falling into her hands.
"Y-you took everything away from us and left us to die." She barely spoke, tears streaming down her eyes with a pained expression. She couldn't see any emotions looking at Troy's face, as his eyes were closed but she didn't care. Unbeknownst to her, sparks of light emitted as she got closer to Troy.
Lifting the knife up it hovered above Troy's face, the tip dangerously pointing downwards to him. "You deserve a slow and painful death like the fate you left us in. So consider a swift death mercy."
Plunging the knife downwards, adrenaline was coursing through her veins as she was finally getting her wish. A smirk was planted on her lips, staring at Troy's last moments.
But just as the knife was mere inches from Troy's head, something unexpected happened. The latter's eye burst open, as he caught her hand his gaze meeting with her's.
