The boss is back.

In the glowing geeks' lair, the six men who were assigned to abduct the head librarian brought her inside and tied her to a chair. A few minutes later, she slowly regained consciousness and found herself in a state of panic and fear."

The leader of the glowing geeks saw the head librarian's eyes flutter open, and he strode over to her with a sinister smirk on his face. "Ah, you're awake, Librarian," he said in a cold, calculated tone. "Welcome to our lair."

In a tightly bound position, the head librarian's heart raced as she realized she was surrounded by the mysterious glowing geeks. She tried to move, but her hands and feet were firmly secured to the chair, and she felt a sense of dread as she understood she was entirely at their mercy.

""Please, don't hurt me," she pleaded, her voice quivering with fear.

The leader stepped closer, until he was right in front of her. She closed her eyes, bracing herself for whatever was to come.

Suddenly, she felt the ropes around her wrists being cut, and she opened her eyes to see the leader holding a small knife. He had freed her from the chair, and she could feel a wave of relief wash over her.

But her relief was short-lived, as she saw the wicked grin return to his face.

"What do you want with me?" she demanded, though her voice trembled with fear. The leader circled her like a predator, his eyes fixed on her. The woman trembled with nervous energy as she tried to keep her eyes on him, unsure of what he might do next. Without warning, he pushed her forward, forcing her to stumble towards a computer. She let out a cry of pain as she landed hard on her hands and knees. The bright blue light coming from the table reflected in her eyes, as she looked up to see something that she could hardly believe. It was the Matrix.

She observed that the glowing geeks were able to penetrate the matrix, and she stood as the sole obstacle in their path. It was at this moment that she finally comprehended the reason behind her adoption.

"You must have realized by now that we were able to decipher the encrypted data of the Matrix," the leader said, his voice low and threatening.

"But there is one last barrier that stands in our way - the biometric encryption. And only you can unlock it."

The woman's heart pounded in her chest as she recognized the gravity of the leader's words. She understood that she held the pivotal role, the sole individual capable of thwarting their acquisition of control over the Matrix. But the question remained: how could she possibly accomplish this daunting task?

The head librarian spotted the small knife that the leader had used to free her, resting on the table. Her thoughts raced as she realized that it might be wiser to sacrifice her life rather than allow anyone, particularly the glowing geeks, to gain control over the book. She comprehended that with their profound knowledge of advanced technology, they could manipulate and bend anything to their will.

As the head librarian extended her hand towards the knife, one of the Glowing Geeks aimed a peculiar-looking device at her hands. She experienced a sharp, piercing sensation as an energy discharge struck her, rendering her hands numb. Desperately attempting to grasp the knife, she found her fingers unresponsive. The pain became excruciating, prompting her to emit a piercing scream. In an abrupt and terrifying turn of events, her entire body stiffened, and she collapsed to the floor, convulsing uncontrollably. She was rendered entirely helpless, entirely at the mercy of these enigmatic beings.

"Please, stop!" Her desperate pleas erupted, accompanied by tears coursing down her cheeks. "I promise, I'll comply with any request, anything you desire. Please," she implored, her cries echoing with the vulnerability of a newborn.

The leader's cold gaze softened for a moment and he signaled to the man who had inflicted her torment, prompting him to relinquish his grip. The woman, gasping and weeping, was momentarily freed from the excruciating hold.

However, the leader, unsympathetic, yanked her up by the hair and issued a stern warning, "Should you attempt any further defiance, I assure you the pain you endure will be far more severe." He unceremoniously cast her back to the floor, where she groaned in anguish.

The woman's eyes were filled with agony and disorientation as they rolled uncontrollably. "Get up!" The leader's voice bellowed, despite the woman's body still grappling with the aftermath of excruciating pain. He hauled her to her feet with an utter lack of regard for her well-being, inflicting even more pain in the process.

"Now, unlock it!" he commanded, his tone laced with impatience.

The woman struggled to regain her composure and, with great effort, managed to rise unaided. She steadied her wavering vision and approached the Matrix. As she neared, an object suddenly emerged from the book, capturing her attention. She drew nearer to the object, which turned green and reshaped into another object, featuring a place for her to place her finger. Overwhelmed by the weight of her actions, she began to cry, fully aware that her actions might unleash utter chaos upon the city.

The leader detected her reluctance to place her fingers on the object. He promptly instructed the man to strike her once more with the energy beam, and as he did, the woman crumpled to the floor once more. She groaned, her expression contorted by pain, yet there was a peculiar hint of a smile as she perceived life slowly slipping away.

"If they kill me, I win, don't I?" she pondered, her thoughts laced with a strange sense of triumph.

The leader noticed a small smile flicker across the woman's lips, but he didn't seem fazed. In fact, he smirked back at her. "You must think the energy beam is going to kill you," he said, "but that's not how it works. It just paralyzes your body, leaving you in excruciating pain. Even if we left you like this for days, you wouldn't die. It would be like your own personal hell." He laughed, and the woman couldn't help but groan in response. The man released the beam, and she felt the pain receding from her body.

As the woman cautiously rose to her feet, her trembling hand made contact with the glowing object, causing it to shift to a brilliant green hue. The radiant blue light of the Matrix surged in intensity, compelling everyone in the room to shield their eyes from its blinding brilliance. Subsequently, the book began to open, and the luminescence gradually receded, unveiling an object nestled within.

What emerged was a small, crystal-like cube, adorned with intricate patterns etched delicately onto its surface. It stood apart as something utterly unfamiliar to the woman, unlike anything she had encountered previously. She extended her hand to make contact with it, but the leader's voice halted her in her tracks.

"Only I am allowed to touch it," the leader declared, reaching out to make contact with the cube. However, another voice, deeper and more menacing, abruptly arrested his advance. The voice carried an uncanny sense of familiarity, prompting him to pivot around, joined by the other men. To their astonishment, they found themselves face-to-face with none other than Mr. Rhodes Turner, the founder and leader of the enigmatic Glowing Geeks.

Mr. Rhodes Turner was a tall, elderly man with dark skin that had weathered the test of time. His wrinkles had formed a roadmap of his life, but his eyes were still sharp and piercing. His short grey hair and neatly trimmed goatee beard only added to his distinguished appearance. Despite his age, he stood tall and straight, his posture impeccable. He was dressed in a well-tailored grey suit and matching slacks, looking every bit the part of a powerful leader. There was an air of authority about him that made the others in the room fall silent.

Five men followed behind Mr. Rhodes, dressed in all-black suits with white shirts underneath. Their faces were impassive, their eyes hidden behind dark sunglasses. They formed a perfect line behind their leader, each one the same height and build as the next. It was clear that they were not to be trifled with.

"You were saying?" Mr. Rhodes' voice cut through the silence, his words dripping with sarcasm. He let out a small chuckle, but his expression remained cold and unreadable.

"I'm sorry, sir," the leader stammered, dropping to his knees. No one else dared to move a muscle, all eyes fixed on the floor. Only the head librarian and the men in black and white remained standing, their faces impassive and unreadable.

The tension in the room was palpable, the air thick with fear. Every second that ticked by felt like an eternity, as the group waited for Mr. Rhodes to speak again.

Rhodes' eyes scanned the room, landing on the only person who still stood. "And who is this woman?" he asked, his gaze focused on the head librarian. His voice was calm, but his words were like daggers, cutting through the air. "And why is she covered in bruises?" he asked, his eyes narrowing. No one answered, the room still and silent. The tension was so thick that it was almost tangible, like a weight pressing down on everyone's shoulders.

After what felt like an eternity, the leader finally spoke, his voice trembling. Without moving, he told Mr. Rhodes everything that had happened, from start to finish. Sweat dripped from his forehead, staining the floor beneath him. He kept his eyes fixed on the ground, unable to look at the man in front of him. It was clear that he feared what might happen if he raised his head, even for a second.

"Is that so?" Mr. Rhodes said, his voice a low rumble. He crossed his arms behind his back, his face still unreadable. Then, without warning, he flicked his index finger. In unison, the men in black and white raised their hands and fired, their bullets striking the head librarian like a hailstorm. She crumpled to the ground, her body wracked with bullet holes. The men in black and white lowered their hands, their faces still expressionless. The room was filled with the metallic scent of blood, and the other men looked on in horror.

"Your mission was executed successfully, but the oversight in covering your tracks was glaring," Mr. Rhodes Turner remarked with a calculated tone. "I conducted a thorough examination of the situation and ascertained that a woman had witnessed your operatives during the adoption process. Furthermore, it came to my attention that they were unable to eliminate her, and she currently resides in the hospital, in the process of recovery"

"I'm sorry, sir. It won't happen again," the leader stammered, his voice shaking. Mr. Rhodes remained silent, his gaze fixed on the leader. Suddenly, he flicked his finger again, and the men in black and white turned their guns on the leader. He tried to run, but it was too late. A hail of bullets struck him, and he crumpled to the floor, his body pierced by dozens of shots. Blood pooled around him, staining the floor red. The other men looked on in shock, their faces pale.

Rhodes Turner directed his attention to the assembly of Glowing Geeks, singling out a man from among their ranks with a pointed gesture. "You," he declared, summoning the individual, who promptly rose while maintaining a respectful posture. "Yes, sir," the man acknowledged.

Mr. Rhodes proceeded to designate this individual as the new leader in charge of the operation to eliminate the woman recovering in the hospital. He then indicated another man who reacted in the same manner as the first. "Regarding the incident at Wales Industries, retrieve the X necklace (Naerse Technology). I must emphasize that any further failure will result in dire consequences," he conveyed with a tone of indifference.

Mr. Rhodes made a subtle hand gesture, and two of the men clad in black proceeded to secure the book, referred to as the Matrix, and placed it inside a briefcase. Subsequently, Mr. Rhodes led the way to the elevator, followed by the men in black, as they departed from the subterranean headquarters of the Glowing Geeks.
