Book 2 - The Usurper from the Wilds: Chapter 16; A Portrait Spying

The screen turns on as the chapter title plays "Chapter - 16; A Portrait Spying".

Yuu had just shaken off the worry and concern she had from the dripping drops of blot and had fallen asleep.

Then as she started to dream the mirror on her wall once again started to suck in as it rippled and glowed.

The dream started out with a rocky landscape and a bunch of hyena silhouettes sitting looking up at this one rock. Yuu says "A parade of animals…?". Just then the King of Beasts himself is seen upon the rock above all the hyenas as he says "The world is about to be turned upside down. A shining new era is near." One of the hyenas asks Scar, the King of Beasts "And where do we fit in?" Scar answers "Just listen." As he then announces his plan to all of the hyenas "We're going to take out Mufasa AND his son." It then zooms in on Scar as he says "And then I will be king!" It zooms out as the hyenas cheer and one shouts out "All right! Long live the king!" The rest of the hyenas follow that one's example as they also shout out "Long live the king!" It zooms back in on Scar as he tells them "I've fangs and the courage that none can match." It does another zoom in thing as he shouts to them "So be prepared!"

It then zooms out of the mirror and enters that black zoid as a voice questions "Why not try to reach some kind of agreement?"

Yuu then wakes up on her bed as she says quietly "Another animal dream?" Yuu sits up as Grim floats and reenters the room saying "Oh, Yuu, you're up? Breakfast is gettin' cold! Let's go eat already!" As he essentially drags her downstairs to eat.

There's then a small time skip as Yuu and Grim are walking around Main Street heading to their classes. As they're walking along Grim asks her "By the way, did you go somewhere last night? I got up to warm up some milk. Was gonna see if you wanted some but you weren't there."

Yuu realizes she never told Grim about what happened so she explains to him "Oh, that's right. It was the weirdest thing…"

It then shows a bit of a flashback to the boy with horns as it skips over her telling Grim what happened.

After hearing what had happened Grim questions "Huh! A weird dude with horns? Did this dude have a name?" Yuu tells Grim "He told me to call him by a name of my choosing." As she thinks 'I should come up with that nickname.' Grim then exclaims "Ooh, ooh, let me pick!" Grim thinks for a second before shouting out "Howsabout… "Tsunotaro"!" Yuu thinks for a second before telling Grim "That works." Grim then says "If Tsunotaro's a student here, who knows when we might run into him? If we do, introduce me! I ain't never seen a human with horns before."

Just then they run into Riddle and Cater, as the latter waves and tells her "Mornin', Yuu."

But Riddle walks up to her saying "Hm. Your tie is crooked, you know. A disorderly uniform suggests a disorderly dorm. As perfect, you should set a better example for your dorm members. Even if you only have one."

Riddle then fixes her tie for her before telling her "...There. All better."

Yuu's cheeks have a tint of red on them due to how close Riddle had gotten and embarrassment.

But no one notices as Grim asks "So, where's Ace and Deuce?" Riddle answers "In accordance with rule 249, it's their turn to wear pink clothes and feed the flamingos."

But Riddle quickly switches the topic to one of more importance as he tells them "By the way, it seems there was another incident last night." Grim shouts "Myah?! Really?!"

Cater then fills them in on more details "According to a portrait who witnessed it, the victim was a sophomore from Scarabia House. His name is Jamil Viper. It appears the accident happened in the kitchen." Yuu stated "With a portrait serving as our security camera…" as she trails off.

Riddle informs them "It's breakfast time, so he may be in the cafeteria. Let's go see."

As the screen fades to black and "To be continued" plays on screen before it turns off fully.
