Misunderstood disrespect

<p>Zenos was lost in his thoughts again thinking about Ashley. This was the first time he was yelled at by someone but he wasn't angry. He thought she looked like an angry kitten baring her fangs at him. So cute. This made him show a small smile that he didn't even know was there. But Ashley mistook that smile for a mocking smirk. Was he looking down on and ridiculing her? Now she was really pissed off. How dare he?!!! If this was before she would have made him pay then and there for humiliating her but now she was in a new world with a new identity and she had to be careful so the best choice would be to ignore this man whose background she didn't know.<br/>By the time Zenos snapped out of his daydream the girl had disappeared leaving only the faint rustling of the leaves as well as her unique sweet scent of white wine. He was startled and set out to sense her presence nearby and found her a couple of metres away walking towards an unknown direction. He immediately followed after her. Opposed to what Ash thought that he was thinking, Zen was facing an inner turmoil. He didn't know what to say to her, what to do to make her agree to him staying next to her so that he can find out more about her. Then he was confused again by his way of thinking. Why would he need to be with her to find out about her when he could just order his subordinates to do it and this is when she yelled at him so his direction of thought changed again. He had a sudden urge to compare her to a kitten but she just left him like that without saying anything. <br/>He soon reached her and called out to her again but this time more firmly. 'Hey. wait, wait, wait'. Ashley grit her teeth in exasperation and coldly eyed the man. Zen could see that she was getting fed up with him but decided to bite the bullet and go for it. 'Can I go with you? I'm kinda lost here so I'd really appreciate it if you could let me travel with you'. <br/>Silence. <br/>What did this man just say? He wanted to travel with her? Now Ashley was getting super suspicious. He certainly didn't look like someone who could get lost. Even if he did, he should have the means to get out of this forest. Were her suspicions correct and he was out to get her? Her eyes narrowed dangerously at this thought. Now then, what should she do? As they say keep your friends close and your enemies closer.<br/>'Sure', she smoothly replied. She'll allow him to be next to him to see what he was capable of doing. After all he might follow her in secret while she sat there unaware. It was better to keep him in sight and it's not like she was going ahead to do something top secret. </p>
