Carl the monster slayer

It's been two days since we both got to the city, it's been pretty much the same with me and lilly, sleep, eat, talk, bath that's pretty much been the daily schedule, but today I'm going shopping with Lilly.

"Hey, shop keeper, what kind of soap do you have?" I asked the young man who seemed to be in his early thirties, I was quite shocked upon seeing his confusion upon what a soap was.

"So you mean you don't know what a soap is, how about perfume...not that either?....Darn, alright can I get some magic stones and beast cores...Thanks." At the end I only bought three fourth grades magic stones and five third grade beast cores, seeing that I planed on making my own amour my self and also another magic item.

"What a lovely day, isn't it?" Lilly asked me in a cheerful manner as she smiled at all the people who were doing one thing or the other. "It is....Wait what is that, it seems a little bit busy, infact it's the most noisy place so far?", I asked lilly after spotting a huge stone building, with tons of people emitting mana from within.

"It's the local adventures guild, it's a place for people who seek adventures but don't want to be controlled by the royal order or some other organisation. The people here are called adventurers and they're each special in their own way, It's pretty handy to have in a city as it increases political and social power, depending on how powerful a guild is even the royal order could seek help from them." Lilly explained in details as I immediately grew interested, but the fact was that I already knew what it was and what the people were, I was just checking to see how profound her knowledge really was.

"That's it, I'll start by being the greatest adventurer, then world strongest Sage!!!" I ended up going to the adventures guild along side Lilly, at first I hesitated but at the end I gathered courage and walked through the lines of intimidating looking people and went straight to the counter at the far end of the building.

"Hello, welcome to the local adventurers guild of glamour city of love, you look new, how may I be of service." The female receptionist who stood behind the counter with a warm smile on her face asked with a kind voice.

I greeted her and replied that me and lilly would like to register as an adventurer."Well, you'll have to pass the adventurers test, no one knows your self better than you, so what level of experience do you have?" She asked as I took time to reply her.

"I could probably take on an S rank adventurer in a fight, my friend here could settle for an A." I said as she stared at me for a while before laughing unrestrainedly.

""So you're saying you're on a S rank scale, while she is an A rank scale, well I could believe her being an A but you.... How about this here, hold it and pour your mana into it, it's called a revealing scroll, it can calculate how strong your mana output is." The receptionist tossed me a white scroll, I held it pouring my mana into it as all of a sudden it lit up with golden light.

"Im_Impossible, your mana output, it's immeasurable by the scroll, and the scroll is able to measure mana up to S rank Mages, I guess you might really be an S rank!"

At the end, lilly was tested and she had the mana output of an expert rank A adventurer, she said we both were rare cases but still needed to test the limit of our power and as such woll be facing off against one of the High ranking adventurers of the guild.

"You look lovely, how about i visit you later? I mean, we could get to know each other?" A boy wearing full gold amour holding a rank A magic sword said to lilly in a lustful manner.

"Who exactly are you?"Lilly asked with an uninterested tone. "Oh, no wonder you have that look on your face, I'm known as Carl the famous monster slayer, I'm on the top three on the guilds wall of Fame, I'm ranked third, to be precise I'm the third strongest adventurer of glamour city of love, Carl the S rank adventurer with the tittle of Monster slayer." He said with a proud smile as he pointed at the wall of Fame.

"Oh, still not interested." Lilly said turning away as he immediately felt pissed off. "How dare you ignore me, I'll let you know you're just a lowly scum elf, I could easily find one of your kind in a slave market, so don't think too highly of your self." Carl said fiercely grabbing her hand.

"Get your hands off her!" I said with a low but intimidating voice placing my hand on his shoulder. "And who the hell are you?" he asked with this sneer look on his face.

"I'm Elias and also she's mine, so if you want to harass her I'm afraid you'll have to die first!" I said this time grabbing his shoulder tight enough that the amour had a dent on it. "I see, you're also ignorant just like the elf, people like you tend to die early...Tasha, you called for me!" Carl said walking up to the receptionist who was powerless to do anything.

"Oh! I'm glad you came, These two here are new adventurers whom I want you to examine and analyze their abilities." The receptionist said pointing to me and lilly.

"So you want me to do a mock Battle with these two and test out their individual abilities, oh! what a golden opportunity, I think I'll do it for free." Carl said with a maniacally smile on his face.

At the guilds training ground.

"I see, we meet again elf, this is a little bit uncomfortable so I'll try my best to hold back and not kill you, maybe then you'll realize your place." Carl said with a grin as he clenched his sword tightly. "Don't worry I can handle my self." Lilly said as she snapped her finger releasing pixel lights which then formed into a silver bow.

"I see a magic item, it's common for people to introduce their magic items before a friendly duel, this! my friend is known as the A rank magic sword The Beast killer!" Carl said swinging his blade violently while being ten feet away from Lilly as he released a silver wave of mana at lilly who managed to evade it by rolling on the floor.

"I guess it will be rude for me not to return the favour, this is an S rank magic bow known as Tempest Bow!" Lilly said pulling the empty strings of the bow as from thin air a silver arrow formed completely of pure mana appeared at the strings of the bow, releasing it into the air it moved at hyper speed heading towards Carl's face who was too slow to completely dodge it and it ended up leaving a cut mark on his face, the arrow was so strong that it instantly shattered a portion of the barrier covering the room.

"Now that's something to watch out for, you actually scarred my face, by the time I'm done with you, you'll be begging for me to take you as a concubine!"
