Highest Potential

Cross watched me walk toward him and smirked. He got excited to have this one on one with me. I stood in front of him then made my helmet disappear. I looked at him then smirked. My soul burned with a fiery willpower because now I could give Cross the fight he deserved.

"Do you feel that..?" Alina asked.

"Yeah... That's some serious pressure.." Cieran said then crossed his arms.

Bea watched and held her hand to her chest. She stood up and smiled brightly. "Felix! Felix let me hear you roar!"

I heard Bea's voice then chuckled then growled. I let out a powerful roar then my aura surged. I propelled myself toward Cross and went for a powerful strike. Cross braced himself then clashed with me. A powerful shockwave formed because of our clash. Cross pushed me away then bellowed. His aura surged as well then he began to power up.

"Infernal Blast!" Cross bellowed then launched a blast of flames at me.

I rushed through the flames then dispersed Cross's attack. I knocked him upwards then used my tail to knock him away. Cross grunted as he hit the ground and rolled backwards. He recovered then dodged my kick and countered with a powerful blow to my liver. I groaned and coughed from the pain. Cross followed with a powerful fire infused palm strike, blowing me away.

I rolled backwards on the ground then recovered onto my feet. I stood my ground then huffed. I stood up straight and my tail swayed. "Dearie..."

"Felix.." Dearie responded.

"No holding back.." I said.

Cross bellowed and began to power up even more. His voice echoed across the arena. "I will not lose against a Monster!"

I got down in a starting position and surrounded my body in Draconic Energy. My energy began to take shape of a dragon then I roared and charged toward Cross. Cross propelled himself toward me then held his hand out.

"Hellshot!" Cross bellowed then released a beam of flames at me at full strength.

I roared and my eyes shined as I collided with Cross's attack. We were once again evenly matched. Our attacks caused an explosion, blowing both of us away in opposite directions. We hit the ground and everyone was silent.

"Felix..!" Layla called out then heard laughing. She looked over at Cross who was standing once again.

Cross held his arm and walked forward. "To have to go all out against someone like you... Pathetic! I will kill you even if it's the last thing I do! You monsters took away everyone I cared about! For you to sit in my face and match me in power after all my years of training?!"

I stood up and looked at Cross and held my arm. I grunted as I felt a massive increase in power from Cross.

"Spirit Energy?" Baphomet asked.

"That feels like Willpower? Is he unleashing his Potential?" Dearie asked.

"I won't let this slide...You damned monsters... I'll kill you all!" Cross bellowed and his energy expanded. His hair shined brightly then began to form into blue flames.

"He transformed?!" Jubei asked in shock.

King smirked and chuckled. "Well well... it seems we have another hero with unlimited potential.."

I looked at Cross then closed my eyes and began to balance my energy. "Switch."

Dearie and Baphomet swapped places then Baphomet manifested Draconic Elemental Combat to me.

I entered my Balanced Shadow Dragon Form then opened my eyes and my energy calmly flowed around me. I got into my Ryujin Stance then exhaled. "It's time..."

{Act 19: Highest Potential}

"This fight is getting serious people! I've never felt such power from the new generation before! All eyes are locked on these two combatants!" The announcer said.

A man walked forward and leaned against the wall to watch the fight. He took a bite out of his apple and lowered it. "Hmm...Seems lively here.."

"Agreed." A feminine voice said beside him.

I looked at Cross then walked forward. Cross watched me then walked forward as well. We gave each other an intense staredown as we approached each other. The tension was high, but also the pressure. Whoever wins decides how the tides will turn in the entire match.

Cross dashed toward me then went for the first strike. I parried his strike then palmed his chest and struck him with a shoulder strike. Cross stumbled backwards then dodged my kick and grabbed my ankle then pulled me toward him. He landed a clean strike on my face then landed a gut punch. He kicked me away, but I recovered and flipped backwards, launching two Dragon Burst toward him using my feet.

Cross deflected both Blasts then launched bolts of fire at me. I deflected the first two then rapidly deflected the other bolts. Cross caught me off guard then landed a powerful kick, knocking me away then he propelled himself above me.

"Azure Blast!" He bellowed then launched a powerful blast of blue flames at me, blasting me into the ground.

I groaned softly and slowly sat up. I dusted the rubble off my shoulders then crawled out of the hole I was in. I stood up and coughed a bit of blood. My shadows healed my wounds slowly and I closed my eyes.

"My turn." I said calmly then gave a monstrous smirk.

I used my Shadow to warp toward Cross then my Shadow began to strike his, causing Cross to take damage by invisible forces. I roared as I knocked him away then flew after him. I somersaulted forward then kicked him to the ground, but used a burst of wind to knock him up toward me. I roared and blasted him away with a blast of Draconic Water.

Cross recovered then grunted as he was pinned to the ground. He looked down and noticed my Shadow expanded toward his. He tried to move but couldn't.

"You're mine...Shadow Tsunami!" I bellowed then launched a powerful wave of shadows at Cross.

Cross groaned as he began to take consecutive damage. The waves slowly moved past him then he fell to his knees. He placed his hand on the ground and coughed a bit of blood. I walked toward him and surrounded my hand in draconic energy and it took shape of a dragon's claws.

"Kill or Spare Cross..?"

"Cross..."

"Kill..."

"Spare..."

I looked down at Cross and reached out my hand. I stopped myself and had a flashback to when I fought Bea. I stared at Cross and lowered my arm.

"Are you a monster..?"

"Or are you human..?"

"Human.."

"Monster..."

I closed my eyes then took a step back. "I am not a Monster..."

Cross growled then yelled. "Don't lie to me! You are a Monster!"

Cross lunged at me and thrusted his hand forward, striking my chest. I groaned and my heart thumped. Dark energy burst from my back and my heart stopped. My eyes went blank then I fell to my knees.

"Felix?!" Baphomet called out.

Everyone looked surprised as they realized what Cross did.

"Felix!" Aurelia yelled and ran toward me.

"Felix!!" Layla yelled and hurried toward me.

Charlotte hurried over and was too stunned to even speak. Tobin also ran over to check on me.

"Felix!" Aurelia screamed.

I woke up at the Temple Baphomet stayed in and sat up on a bed. I held my head then sighed softly. "Did I die..?"

"Yes, Felmet. You did die... Cross hit you with a Forbidden Technique. He hit you with the Palm of Death. You have ten minutes to recover before you are eliminated so let's talk~" Baphomet said then sat on the edge of the bed.

I looked down and began to reflect on everything. "Obviously I don't want to end it here...I mean look at what I accomplished. I even managed to get Cheshur to like me.."

"Which isn't an easy feat~ If you didn't notice, his statue is on that nightstand. He likes you so much, he gave you a way to summon him, but you'll need Wonder Energy to use it." Baphomet said.

I looked at the statue then smiled. I looked back at Baphomet then sat next to her and leaned against her. "Can't you help me unlock more potential? I really don't want to rely too much on my Ability Encyclopedia. Can I have some your power?"

"Oh?~ You're finally asking me?~" Baphomet giggled and snuggled up next to me.

"You're meaning to tell me that this whole time I could've asked you for more power?" I asked dully.

Baphomet laughed softly and held my hand. "Of course..~ I want the world to see us work together..~ I want to see my partner in crime succeed..~ So what do you want?~"

"How about...your Esoteric Power? I can mix it with my Dragon Power and we can make Esoteric Dragon Power! That way I can learn both your abilities while also growing my own!" I said and smiled.

Baphomet smiled at me and chuckled softly. "I like the way you think Felmet..~ You know what we have to do right..?~"

I blushed softly and nodded. "Yeah..."

Baphomet smiled then gently held my cheek then she make me look at her. She leaned forward then kissed my lips gently. I kissed back and my body faintly glowed. After a moment we pulled away and I looked away shyly.

"There you go~ Esoteric Power~" Baphomet said then giggled. "Now you will Rebirth because as a Myth Class Monster, we are granted the ability to Rebirth. It is similar to Nexus's Resurrection. Each time you die, I'll grant you a Myth Rank Power~ For any other ability, I can grant it to you whenever~"

I nodded then closed my eyes. "I'm ready to go back out there.."

"Good~ Make me proud~" Baphomet said then snapped her fingers.

Everything went white then I grunted softly as I opened my eyes, seeing the sun blinding me. I slowly sat up and looked at Baphomet.

"Felix!" Aurelia said in shock. "You're alive!"

"He's alive?!" Cross asked in complete awe.

"So he has overcome Death. He is no ordinary Beast. He is a Beast capable of Resurrection..." King said.

"Felix, are you okay?" Tobin asked as he helped me up.

"Yeah..." I said then exhaled. "Cheshur... Let's play another game."

"Game..?"

"Game..."

"I love games..."

"Put a target on Cross. I'm taking him down...in less than five minutes." I said and glared at Cross.

"Are you crazy?!" Charlotte asked and grabbed my arm.

"I might be...but I have to do this. I'm not losing to him...not when I haven't even shown him my full power!" I yelled and my Shadow Armor shattered.

"Felix, you don't have to push yourself!" Layla called out.

I bellowed and began to dig deep within my Dragon Soul. I groaned loudly then let out a roar then golden energy faintly glowed around my body. Everyone watched me and felt my power rapidly increasing.

Bea watched me in shock and her jaw dropped. "Is that...Ryujin Energy?!"

Irma smirked and stood up. "He's using it..."

Daisy and Vesta looked surprised as they felt my rapidly growing energy and my Draconic Pressure. Daisy looked at her phone and noticed the numbers growing higher and higher.

The man watching felt my Willpower, but also Divine Monstrous Energy. "This guy...He reminds me of an old friend..."

"Master, his potential...it's limitless..." The feminine voice said.

"What is his name?" The man asked.

The HDS Unit beside him looked within her files then crossed her arms. "Felix Knight."

I bellowed and roared then my golden energy surged powerfully around my body then manifested my Ryujin Armor around my body. I roared loudly and my roar echoed across the skies then I stopped roaring. I tapped into my Ryujin Form and stared at Cross.

Cross looked at me in shock and took a step back. "What the hell is that power..? That Beast Energy...this unknown energy...just what are you?!"

I looked at Cross then my eyes shined brightly. "Your worst nightmare. Thank you for killing me... because I survived Death itself, I have grown stronger than I could possibly imagine. Because of you, I will now show you my full power! Dragon Boost 100%!"

A burst of red energy surrounded my body then I flew toward Cross at high speeds. I roared and struck his body then knocked him upwards. I flew above him then knocked him back down. I held my hand out then gripped my wrist.

"Draco Annihilation!" I bellowed then launched a barrage of energy blasts at Cross.

Cross landed on the ground and tried to deflect one of the blasts, but the blast was way too strong for him. He groaned as the blast exploded and he began to get struck with the barrage.

"Dragon Cannon!" I roared and fired a beam of Divine Draconic Energy at Cross.

Cross groaned as he was hit then a massive explosion happened. Everyone watched in complete awe. No one could believe the power I had displayed.

"Cross has been eliminated!" The announcer called out.

I looked down at King and my golden energy flowed around my body. "Have I really achieved it?"

"Through Death, you've truly awakened your Ryujin Power, but it's just your base. Your power truly shines when combined with other Dragonic Physiologies." Baphomet answered.

I smirked. "This is it, we aren't losing. We took out one of their best. Now King will have no choice but to prioritize me.."

"Yeah..~" Baphomet smirked.
