The Tough Goodbye

A sudden, intense pain shot through Ginevra's back as she was hit by a mug. The mug broke into pieces on the floor with a loud, clear sound. When she spun around, she saw Madelyn's nasty grin.

Anger flooded through Ginevra. She hadn't expected Madelyn to be this ruthless. Unable to beat her fair and square, Madelyn had resorted to a sneak attack.

Her eyes quickly swept the room, spotting some juice pots near the cabinet by the door. She marched forward, grabbed one, and headed straight for Madelyn.

The pot was full of apple juice. It looked like a fight was about to break out, but a quick-thinking waiter nearby grabbed Ginevra's wrist, taking the pot from her.

"Ma'am, please, take a breath," he urged. "This pot's full. It could cause a lot of harm."
