At the hospital, as the sun rose, Alicia was finally safe and moved from the operating room to a regular room. She still needed an IV with medicine to stop her contractions.
The medicine made Alicia's heart beat fast, and her breathing was quicker than usual, making it hard to breathe. She didn't want Louis to worry, so she tried to stay calm. She had to stay in the hospital and keep getting the medicine until her test results were good. But the worst part was over.
Both of them quietly felt relieved, especially Louis. Their baby was safe, and so was his Alicia.
Alicia's stomach rumbled, and she wanted some pudding. Louis quickly asked someone to buy some for her.
When the pudding came, Louis tasted it first to make sure it was okay, then started to feed Alicia with a spoon.
