Louis's dark eyes sparkled like far-off stars as he leaned in above her. Pressing his lips together, he silently gazed at her before lowering his head to softly kiss her nose. "A deal's a deal," he whispered.

Alicia hummed in reply.

Louis wasn't happy with her demeanor. "Too laid-back. Say it again."

Alicia found the situation amusing. Louis had the advantage, but acted like she didn't want him.

After a moment, she raised her arm, draping it around his neck. She brought her lips to his ear and whispered gently, "People are drawn to you because you're handsome, rich, and charming. But someone here, in this car, loves you because they've seen you at rock bottom and feel for you. She wants to sit with you in silence, offering a shoulder and a piece of candy when needed."
