World’s Halo

Qing-er, an ordinary 18 year old girl, unfortunately bit the bucket too early and died young. Waking up, she realized she had a new lease on life and had transmigrated into a fantasy world. Spiritual beasts, cultivation, sacred treasures, fantastical things that made her eyes shine. However, she celebrated too soon. Faced to face with the protagonists, she was in fact a pitiful supporting character to put it nicely and a mob character to put it truthfully.

It had already been a week since this wonderful dream had started. During this time, Qing-er found out many things. For instance, this body's name was Long Xiu Yun, the youngest daughter of Long Kai Jun and Long Jingyi. Her father, Long Kai Jun, was a divine beast while her mother, Long Jingyi, was a human. What interested her the most was that the ceremony she heard them talk about was in order to awaken the divine beast's bloodline flowing through her veins.

Apparently every single descendant will go through this ceremony once they've reached the age of 10. That's why scales had appeared on her body. They were due to the recently completed awakening ceremony the original body had gone through. As she matured and her cultivation grew stronger, she'll be able to control her transformation.

When she first learned of this, her amazement went through the roof. She had enjoyed reading all types of novels and she wasn't a stranger to cultivation novels. Being able to experience it first hand made her excited.

At the same time, there was this nagging feeling that she had heard of this somewhere before. But there were so many of the same type of story that she wasn't sure if she was just confusing it with one of the novels she's read.

To sum up in a few words what she learned about this continent, it would be a paradise for cultivation. The mainland she was on was divided up into 2 continents, the Spring and Winter Continents. Don't ask her why it was named this because she had no clue. Secondly, the Spring Continent was abundant in spiritual energy and thus produced many treasures, such as spiritual herbs.

In reverse, the Winter Continent had two third's worth of spiritual energy compared to the Spring Continent. Although, it was more abundant than some other places, however the spiritual energy in the Winter Continent produced a violent and harsh nature that made it harder to cultivate. Likewise, the spiritual beasts on the Winter Continent had a corresponding violent nature to go along with it.

The continent she was currently at was the Spring Continent. In 2 years she'll begin her cultivation at the age of 12, the appropriate time for children to start.

It could be due to her disposition of going with the flow, but none of this truly sunk in. She still felt as though she was dreaming a long dream and when she wakes up she'll still be in the car with her sister driving them home.

She knew this was too realistic to be a dream but she couldn't stop her little hopeful wish of being right laying in the back of her mind. Sighing, she continued her exploration.

Qing-er, no, I guess she should be called Long Xiu Yun now, was currently exploring the forest behind her house. She started exploring the forest yesterday after she learned that the forest and mountains their home resided on belonged to the Long family. Although there were spiritual beasts in the forest, her bloodline reigned over these creatures and suppressed them to an unbelievable extent. The tiers of beasts could be categorized simply as spiritual, immortal, and divine. With it being from low to high respectively. Should she thank her father for being a divine beast?

Long Xiu Yun went deeper into the forest. She explored with great interest looking at the different flora and fauna, touching plants here and there. Coming from a modern world, her caution was pitifully low and not up to standard in this cultivation world. She touched some varieties of poisonous herbs and plants along the way but her divine beast bloodline counteracted these low level poisons without her knowledge.

"Hmm hm hm~, hmm hm hm~, da da da da da da daa~" Humming a tune, she made her way around the trees and jangled the topaz bracelet on her wrist. She twisted it around her wrist and played with it as she walked, paying no mind to her direction and heading further in.

The light ahead of her shone brightly between the trunks of the trees, opening up into a clearing with a waterfall cascading down into a deep pool. The deep blue water sparkled like ocean gems set against the sun, bright and dazzling.

Long Xiu Yun walked towards the edge of the water, peering into its depths. Lively fishes swimming could be seen from the edge. She could see fishes swimming out from underneath the waterfall every so often. Long Xiu Yun bent down and dipped her hand in the water. Crisp, cool water greeted her fingers sending a shiver along her spine. The water seemed as though it was washing over her subconscious worries and comforted her.

Smiling slightly, she decided to take a little rest here.

"Roooaaarr!!!"
