☀️ chapter three ☀️

Anita opened her eyes. she must have been knocked out by that lady she encountered. she tried to get up but noticed that she couldn't. she was tied to a chair. soon, she heard footsteps approaching.

"Anita!" a female voice called.

"how'd you know my name?" she asked.

"oh." the lady revealed her face to the Ray of the sun passing through a small hole in the room.

"sorry for not introducing my name." she giggled. "I'm Gwen. that's all." she smiled.

"what do you need me for." Anita asked.

"yeah, I've been studying you for a long time now, your future seems tough and we want you, I mean.... wanted you! then, Lothaire took you. what we want is to kill you and make life unbearable for him." she giggled again.

"okay, is that all." Anita mocked.

"are you teasing me?" the lady's mood changed.

"you have only a few days before you can start using your powers. that means I can kill you." she held Anita's neck down to the chair.

Anita gasped for air as the lady strangled her. she finally let go.

"I don't wanna kill you because I'm not in the order to do so." she walked away slowly. Anita bowed her head. she burst into tears. she fought her palm to loosen but it was well tied. soon, she noticed footsteps again. this time a man appeared.

"hello Anita!" he called.

"bastard." she cursed, following a slap that almost removed her jaw.

"anyways, I'm going to kill you. but, Lothaire has to watch it." he smirked. she could see it in his face.

"if you'd wanted to see me, at least make a call." a hoarse voice said in the shadow.

"finally who I wanted to see." the man smiled.

"step away from the girl, Roshan." Lothaire ordered. he walked to Anita and the rope binding her hands together fell off. she stood up. she wanted to hug him but she remembered she wasn't alone.

"Lothaire!! good to see you!" he chuckled.

"we have our boundaries, I'd suggest not to cross each other's path. it might be dangerous." he stated.

Roshan smirked.

bastard, Anita grinned. Roshan stared into her eyes and she quickly turned away.

"I hope to cross paths with you Anita." Roshan smiled.

she looked at him before putting her palm on Lothaire's palm and they both disappeared. they reappeared in Anita's room.

"thanks." she managed to say after a short silence.

"my pleasure... and,.... that guy, he's a demon." he said.she shivered at what he said.

"de..... demon?" she stuttered.

"a wicked one." he said and continued. "try to stay alerted. his goons are everywhere." Lothaire reminded.

"good night." she said. he nodded and disappeared.

day 4

she walked to her locker and opened it. she noticed footsteps behind her. Stephen! she slammed the locker and turned sharply to his direction.

"good morning?" he said slowly. she walked away from his presence. he grabbed her palm.

"wait, Anita. I have an explanation." he Said.

"what explanation can you give?" she asked really angry. he sighed.

"okay, I'm sorry if that's enough." he held both her palm. she slowly removed her grip from his. he turned it to a hug. he was not willing to let go. she tried to push him away but his grip was tight. she pushed backwards for a long time until her Iris's started becoming blue. he felt himself leaving her and the next thing, he was twelve feet's away from her. she was surprised.

she covered her shock with anger and walked away like nothing happened. Stephen stood up in shock, it wasn't possible. he walked to the class with high thoughts. the first thing was the woods. she must have been under an influence when she went to the woods. he thought for a long time and decided to visit the woods himself to see the genie that granted her such a wish.

the day drove by really fast. Stephen was about leaving the school premises when he stumbled on Anita and Kayla coming from two opposite direction. he increased his pace.

"Steve!" Kayla called. he pretended not to hear. he walked deeper into the forest. Anita watched with suspicions but she never followed her mind. she walked to another part of the school that was always empty. she tapped on her necklace and Lothaire appeared.

"you called me?" he asked.

"it's working!" she exclaimed.

"what's working?" he asked.

"super strength, I can't explain it, like... it's hard, Lothaire." she blushed.

"you're overwhelmed." he prescribed.

"yeah, does that mean I can tell someone's mind from their heartbeat." she asked.

"that's a gift, you might have it, who knows. it's just a matter of training." he explained.

"can u see the pack now?" she suggested.

"no!" he turned her down. she held a long face and walked away. he held her hand and her heart almost jumped out of her mouth. her nerves were over functioning. she wanted to remove her hands but she was lost in looking at his handsome face. it was the first time she ever made to study this man. he was one in a million. no man she'd encountered was as handsome as he was.

"thanks for the compliment." he said with a smirk. she quickly removed her hand from his and made to leave again.

"I'll try my best to look out for you." he said.

"as what?" she asked. she regretted asking him such a question. to her, she felt she was hurting him saying that. then, she braced up knowing she wasn't doing anything with him. she turned back to clarify but he was gone. she looked at that spot for a long time before leaving..
