☀️ chapter one ☀️

The ringing of the bell signalling another session for classes again. Anita pulled herself through the rushing crowd and managed to find an opening. she stood in front of her locker and opened it. a note fell down on the floor and she picked it. a shriek came out of her mouth as she threw the paper away.

boldly written on it was a threat and it read; YOU'RE NEXT. she fell on the floor and crawled back to the paper. she flipped it and saw a large amount of blood coming out of the paper. a year escaped her eyes. she looked up and the hallway was empty. she called but her voice only returned an echo.

then, she heard footsteps. she closed her eyes tight and a claw touched her shoulder.

"Ahhhhhhhhh....." she screamed and woke up gasping. it was just a dream. one funny thing about her dreams was that they always happened in reality. she pulled aside her shirt and saw four claw signs on her shoulder. she sighed and stroked her hair backwards gently.

she stood up and checked the time. it wasn't anything closer to Dawn. she climbed her bed and covered her head with her pillow....

The school bell rung and all the students came out of their classrooms. Anita walked out sluggishly. she was weak from last night encounter. Kayla jumped on her and threw her a deep hug.

"never thought you'd make it." Kayla smiled.

Anita threw back a weak smile.

"you dreamt again?" Kayla asked.

"hmmm..... I'm weak. don't think I can make it to our school camping." she threw back.

Anita gasped. "what?"

"sorry." she said weakly.

Kayla brought out her phone and dialed a number. it rang for a few seconds and the receiver picked up.

"Mr Burlington, reserve a camp for I and Anita. she's so excited to go camping with us." she smiled and hung up.

"for real?" Anita asked.

"look Anita, we've been friends for sixteen years and I know when your happy and when you're excited. you're just too weak to Express such feelings." she smiled. Anita sighed. "okay, I'll go." she held up a weak smile.

they walked hand in hand to the woods opposite their school. other students were also there with camp bars and blankets. Kayla pulled Anita till they got deeper into the woods. the other students just watched them as they wandered deeper into the forest.

"we're gonna get lost, Kayla." Anita warned.

"I'm the master of the forest Anita. we can't get lost. come on follow me." she said.

"Kayla, you're drowning." Anita pointed. Kayla looked down and found her legs sinking into a decayed dead body. a scream emerged from both ladies as fright overtook them. both girls couldn't stop screaming as they ran backwards. Anita stumbled on a rock and was immediately sent to the ground. her skin tore as she screeched on the ground. she made to stand up and felt a cold palm on her shoulder. a loud scream enveloped her followed by laughter from a familiar voice.

"Stephen!" she gasped and passed out. Stephen carried her to the schools sick Bay and dropped her on the bed. after a few admiration, he left the room.

Mr Burlington made sure to call her parents to inform them of their daughter's situation. they were unable to make it to school but they passed an information to let her stay with Kayla till the next day. the rest of the students were led deeper into the school's reserve. into the woods they went. a young girl felt her legs sinking into the floor and made a call but no one listened. they were caught in the funny stories told by Mr Burlington.

a loud whistle was heard and the girls head fell off. her body was dragged into the bushes. the students turned back but saw nothing.

"it's a bird." Aaron pointed to a bird whistling in a distance. the students continued their journey into the woods. they stopped when it was evening to make camp.

meanwhile in the schools sick Bay, Anita had just woken up. she was sure to have heard a sound. she opened the door slowly and walked out. the sight she saw was enough to kill her. a headless body in front of her. her body vibrated as she made for the exit. as she increased her pace, the lights went out. it was impossible to find the exit. then, the emergency lights went on. she heard echoing sounds behind her. she was quick to speed off into one of the classrooms and she heard the door shutting behind her. her heart skipped. she didn't lock the door, then who did.

she hid under one of the tables and she saw a tail, no two tails walking towards her with pounding paws. she held her breath as sweat dropped from her face. she heard a snarl before what seemed like vanishing. the lights were turned on .
