CHAPTER 9

I could feel his weight on me, and yet, all I could think of was the sensation through my vein.

Staring directly into those set of almond green eyes, it was mesmerizing, his round pink lips only made me think of one thing, how soft it would feel to kiss him, and I was actually giving it a second thought when he spoke.

" See you are a fast learner, am impressed"

His lips curled into a smile that faded as quickly as it came.

He got up before grabbing my arm and I tucked up my face flustered red as I noticed eyes on me.

" That would be all for today! Good job everyone!"

He announced loudly, and everyone found their way to their water bottle while heading to the locker room.

I walked over to Mira who was chatting with a group of girls, they all stopped talking and turn to glare me.

" Hi Hunter"

One of the girls spoke, and they all laugh.

" Stop Lexy! She is not a hunter"

Mira spoke in defense.

"Yet all I smell around her is their blood, Tell me if we strip her naked right here, we won't find a Hunter's mark on her thighs"

Lexy argued while the other girls glared at me nodding in affirmative, I could hear Mira's heart beat fast, she was scared for she knew it could be true, and yet, I wasn't sure which mark they were referring to cause I had three of it.

" Yes! I think we should open those thighs and see if she doesn't have the mark of hunter"

Another girl spoke, consistently rolling her eyes while making a loud sound with the gum in her mouth.

" Mira!" Lexy called, her tone was calm now

" Stop being Friends with her, no matter how much she tries, she is a hunter by birth, the blood flows through her vein, and it won't stop overnight just because she now possesses the qualities of a wolf".

" And one day she is going to stab you with the hunter's spear"

Another girl chipped in while they walked away. I couldn't even defend myself because I barely understood what they were saying and yet, my wolf was so angry.

" Am sorry about that" Mira apologized

" I should be the one sorry Mira, I put you in such a difficult position"

" No matter what anyone says, I will always be your friend"

I felt the tears soaked my cheeks and I hugged her tight.

Luke took me around the training camp and stopped in front of a locker with my name tagged on it.

" That your locker, all you just have to do is insert a password, and you are good to go"

His lips form into a smirk, he had a blonde hair, with sharp pointed nose and his pouty lips could make you mistake him for a female, but he was muscularly built, with a caramel skin color.

" Thanks beta Luke"

" Come on, you don't have to be so polite, just call me Luke"

" Are you certain? Because Mira said I could get killed for calling his alpha or beta by their names".

" Well, that true, but I could make an exception for you"

" Thank you beta..... Luke"

He smiled as his name popped out of my mouth.

" If you need anything else or someone dares bullies you, do not hesitate to inform me and I will make them pay"

" Really! Even that person is the alpha"

The muscles around his eyes tightened as he sniffs through his nose, turning away from me as if thinking of what to say and then turning back to me.

" Well we could make an exception, not that I won't be able to deal with the alpha, but you wouldn't want that"

" Really? So if you had a battle with the alpha, you could defeat him".

" Not could, I would defeat him within seconds, haven't you heard about my glories, how we conquer numerous territories?"

" You would defeat me within seconds?"

A voice spoke from behind, walking over to us, both his hands crossed behind, his lips twitched to a corner.

" No Dario, that not what I meant, what I mean is that ....."

He stutters his eyes scanning for a escape rout and when he finally found an exit, he walked as fast as he could out of the locker room while Dario stood staring at him, the side of his lips curled into a smile that vanished as quickly as it came.

"So how are you adapting to your new life"

His full attention was on me now.

" Am fine, thanks for asking"

" I heard you were bullied by the girls today, but you have nothing to worry about, I dealt with it"

" What did you do?"

" Don't worry, I did not eat them"

" What!! Is that possible"

His lips cornered diagonally exposing those dimples on his cheek making my heart beat faster?

" What funny" I questioned, and he chuckled louder.

" Did you have breakfast?"

" Not yet" I could feel my stomach and with every hunger came a rubbing.

" Come with me" He walks faster away from the locker room and I followed.

While we slowly walk back to the pack house, his hands tug to the side pocket of his trouser, his pace slow trying to meet my steps.

" So, would you like to go back to school?"

" Is that still possible?"

" Why wouldn't it be possible?"

" I don't know, considering what have become and how you keep your identities a secret"

" You can still go back to college after you can fully control your wolf, no matter how angry you are so that you don't change in front of people"

"That would be really nice to go back to school, achieve even just one of my dreams"

" And what is that dream?"

" Become a medical doctor, make my dad and Grandpa proud"

" That would also make me proud" I could already feel the tears rolling out, but stopped it in time, his words had so much effect on me than I expected.

And as we arrived at the large dinning, I sat opposite his royal chair where I could clearly gaze at those green eyes.

" What would you like to have?"

" I don't know, anything you having"

" Okay then, but I don't really know what kind of food you like"

" I will like anything you eat"

" No allergies?"

" Off course no allergies" His eyes flicker as he stares at me curiously. He claps twice,, and the maids come rushing in with a banquet.

I could perceive the strong aroma of pasta, baked potato, and pumpkin soup.

The strong flavor of broccoli my nose was receiving made my mouth watery, and as they carefully set down the banquet on the table, I could see how creamy they made it, and without any confirmation from the alpha, I dip my fork in it and as the sweet taste of pumpkin soup met the mouth, I just couldn't hide my excitement.

" Wow!! This is heaven!!" I commented, grinning from ear to ear.

" You like it?"

" Off course! What is here not like, it is so delicious."

" Am glad you like it"
