The Ball

As Tiberius Nott greeted the Greengrass family he heard the familiar sound of a flo activating behind him, as he turned around to see whoever came through he was meet with an excited yell, "Daphne!".

He recognized the young face as one Susan Bones, the current head of the department of magical law enforcements niece.

The oldest of the Greengrass daughters responded by running to her friend and embracing her in her arms.

"I thought you wouldn't come, what changed?", Daphne asked her friend in surprise.

"Well, Amelia said that she had some business with the people attending anyways, so I got to come with to catch up with you all!" , answered the little Bones girl with clear excitement on her face.

"Hello Susan, hope you didn't forget about us-", Eden answered as he pointed at a pouting Astoria with a small smile.

"We have missed you as well, you know?", The youngest Greengrass said as she hugged Susans waist.

"Of course I didn't forget my favorite chaotic trio," Susan said as she patted Astoria's head and gave Eden a look of thanks.

As Astoria let her go, Susan went after Eden and hugged him while messing up his hair, all Marlène could do was to sigh since she already knew this would happen ever since it became her children friend dedicated greeting to her son.

Marlène took out her wand and did a quick hand flick which neatly fixed her oldest hair into the perfect place yet again. The spell she had used way too many times to try to manage his wavy blond hair which was even more stubborn to struggle than that of her own offspring.

Luckily he was the only of her children who had inherited her dad's gene. Her two daughters had inherited her husband's genes with straight blond hair and blue eyes while her son had managed to get himself nearly a copy of her own father's genes, he had gotten tan skin and grey eyes to match.

All Eden could do was to grunt as his hair was getting pulled in all directions at the same time, at this is two little sisters laughed at his misery. He gave all three of the girls a look that promised revenge since he knew he would only be making it worse for himself if he did anything 'Improper' infront of his mother.

His mother had a soft spot for her children, but especially her daughters since she knew that her husband had high demands on their son. She knew she couldn't afford babying him since his father would do anything if he didn't approve of their son, she had seen it first hand after all.

Susan and the sisters started walking towards the ballroom to look around when they turned around to see Eden getting pestered by lady Greengrass, with her straightening his suit.

As Lady Greengrass was busy making her son more presentable Amelia Bones came through the flo in follow of her niece. The first thing Amelia locked her eyes onto as she entered the hallway was Lord Nott, he was currently being investigated in the ministry because of suspicious activity with the unforgivable curses.

"Lord Nott, Lady Greengrass good afternoon,"

Amelia greeted her acquaintances and then the other people in the room, "and of course hello to you too Eden." Amelia ended with a small smile.

Lord Nott felt trapped when he saw Amelia since he knew that he was currently being investigated by her because of his use of the Crusio curse against his son. He could not afford to let her digg any deeper incase she found out what they were planning.

He didn't let his feelings steer his facial muscles like the perfect pure blood he was, and simply greeted the Head of Department of Magical Law Enforcements, "Greetings Madam Bones, I didn't expect to see you here."
