Mail from god and the statue

[Mail received.]

[Checking sender...]

[Sender: God]

When seeing who sent the mail the four, exchanged quick glances as if asking 'Why did he send mail?' which ultimately lead them to weigh the pros and cons of opening the mail now or aft.

Finally after a long time Tristan made a decision and opened the mail now rather than after going to the statue, because no one here wanted to piss off god.

"Open mail" Tristan said wondering why mail was sent, but his worries were cleared when he saw what the mail was about

[Dear young ones. I have made a terrible blunder on my part two actually. I had forgotten to tell you when you are in the world, your are 3 months before the traveller arrives in monstadt. Now the biggest blunder, although not unintentional I had forgotten to tell that due to the shop function holding weapon or abilities that can break your souls if they're not properly strengthened as well as being hunted by certain entities, the shop is now gets more overpriced the stronger and higher the tier of the ability is. Ps get a good foundation first.]

Immediately after reading the letter Tristan, Rushdiy and Keaghan started moving towards the statue or at least where they thought.

But before they could start moving, they were interrupted by Craig who saw what they doing and shouted "Ay! Where are you guys going, didn't you read what god sent? We not gonna discuss this?"

Right after saying that All three looked a Craig like he was some sort idiot. "Craig are you an idiot, no you are already are so what are you now? A super idiot now?"

"Nah that's just a retard, tho they seem different they're synonyms retard is just more specific." Corrected Rushdiy.

"Ah I see" mused Tristan on those two word "But ultimately whether it be retard or super idiot, Craig is that and now Craig seeing as you don't want to go to the statue to get or try to get elemental powers to survive, we can stay and talk." Tristan said with a smile and started chatting with Rushdiy, but Craig could swear he saw a demon behind him when he smiled.

Breaking out of his stupid Craig realized what Tristan wanted. It was at that moment that Craig realized he fucked up,"Boi's we can go to the statue" now trying to get Tristan and Rushdiy's attention back on the statue, but all his attempts were futile as those two just continued to talk about random nonsense.

He looked at Keaghan about to ask for help but before he could Keaghan shut him down "Don't even think of asking me, he did this yourself." Keaghan said in a way that did not leave room for negotiation.

Finally Craig slumped down, feeling dejected over the prospect of not getting powers he just sat and played with the sand.

After a bit of time Tristan approached Craig and asked "Craig you not gonna do dumb stuff or ask dumb questions?"

At the question Craig vigorously nodded his head seeing this Tristan announced "Boi's let's go to the statue, Craig learned his lesson."

And with that the four of them made their way to the statue, there would be occasional trouble such as a hilichurl or wolf's or the occasional slime but by utilising the joestar family secret technique they made it to the statue unharmed.

"Nah this looks ten times better than the one in-game" Craig said admiring the surreal scene the statue creates, seeing it a lone pillar standing on a small island surrounded by a pond was pretty insane to see for them.

"Yo guys doesn't this look bigger than how it was it the game?" Keaghan, who noticed this, asked the other guys and once Keaghan told them they noticed it as well.

"Ye now that I look at it, it does look bigger both the statue and the lake." Commented Craig.

"I for one actually like this as it is, the realism made this scene so muchel nicer as well as the cool calm breeze around here." Rushdiy complemented while making the ok symbol with his hand.

"Boi's this is it, the final distance we need to cross, the divide between boys and men, the difference between no power and power, boi's it time to gain some semblance of strength in the twisted world." Tristan giving a heartfelt and motivating speech.

"Imagine if we don't get any power." remarked Keaghan amused by the idea.

"I would feel like an idiot for giving such a dramatic speech and then getting nothing in return." Tristan said, now not happy with the prospect of not getting powers. "But any way let's go and test if the titles affect is true." He said diverting the topic of his potential blunder.

And so they swam through the water, the swimming was silent, apart from the splashing of water, the four as if understanding that this is a conerstone moment for the decided not to say anything and let this moment be ruined.

Finally after swimming to the lone island, if you could even call it that, the stood infront of the statue, not just any statue a statue of seven specifically the one for Barbatos. Upon further inspection the statue looked tattered and worn down, showcasing it's wounds it received battle against time. Yet oddly enough the state of the statue is not a sight for sore eyes, degrading the experience, rather it makes the experience feel more surreal amd ethereal.

In unison all four of them walked up to the statue, as if a silent agreement was made between them all a once at the same time touched the statue with their hands and waited. Seeing as nothing was happening they were about to take their hands of but with a simple raise of his hand Tristan stopped them, they all looked at him but a simple glance he gave them told then all they need to know 'keep going' and thus they waited. Once it seemed as if all hope was lost the statue started shining and they all felt an unknown feeling coursing through them, just then a system notification popped up.
