When the third beast saw this, it raised its paw as if it was about to slap the little bear.

The third beast narrowed its eyes if it didn't believe what the little bear was saying, but at least it lowered its paw and gave the little bear a chance to explain itself.

The beasts that have developed above all seem to lack intelligence, they are all functioning on pure instinct rather than actual thought.
