Uninvited

His phone starts to ring and he breaks our kiss to take it out of his pocket. He quickly glances at it and turns it onto silent.

"No more fucking distractions, I have been patient enough" he says through gritted teeth. With that he throws his phone on the couch and picks me up so I'm straddling him. His big hands are on my bum squeezing gently. I cup his face in my hands and kiss him slowly. My hands move into his soft wavy hair, pulling. I feel the fireworks going off in my tummy and my heart. Where has this man been all my life ?

I break the kiss looking down at him.

"I don't want to go too fast" I whisper. His expression softens

"I got you baby, We'll take it slow. I'll wait as long as I need to" my heart is practically melting. He puts me back down gently, his arms still wrapped around my waist and he gives me a light kiss on the lips.

"Dinner?" (J)

"Ah yes please, I'm starving!"(A)

"Good! I got a bit of everything" he says walking over to the counter where the takeaway bag is sitting. I follow him and watch as he unwraps the food.

"oh I love Chinese food" I smile at him.

"Yes, I know" he smirks at me

"How exactly, did you know?" I tilt my head, curious (A)

"I told you I have been watching you, asking about you. Not in a stalker way, since you didn't give me any chances. I asked about you much as I could without coming across creepy" (J)

" Ah, not sure if it's creepy or super romantic" I giggle. He catches my lips and kisses me. "It's romantic as hell" he laughs

We eat at the counter, chatting about work mostly. After dinner, Jack asks me to go relax in the living room. I make myself comfortable on his large grey couch. Jack walks in with two glasses.

"I hope you like red wine?" he hands me a glass, I take a sip and nod

"It's very good thank you" we spent the night talking about our lives. Jack grew up in a very rich family, he went to boarding school for the most of his childhood. After his parents tried to control his life he decided to leave the family business and start his own company. He moved to our city to start a new life, a fresh start. His uncle, the Mayor has supported and always been there for him. He sounds like he was more of a father to Jack than Jack's own father. Jack spoke so highly of him, they seem to have such a great bond. He told me that he has never had a girlfriend, his family always made it difficult for him to have a relationships, so in turn he gave up on relationships entirely.

Jack's expression turned sad when I told him that I was an orphan, I grew up poor and in a an orphanage. I always felt like I wasn't good enough, that nobody could ever want me. I didn't find my voice, my light until after I met my best friends Becca and Jojo. Even then, after I walked in on my ex sleeping with another girl in our bed, that broke me and I was back to square one. I have always wanted someone to love me unconditionally, love me enough to never hurt my heart. So far I've carried so much hurt on my heart that I have become so closed off and guarded.

I catch him staring at me with a soft expression on his face

"what?" I ask

"Nothing, I just can't wait to show you everything you have been missing, I still can't believe you're here with me" he smirks. He reaches over and places his hand over my cheek, I lean into it and close my eyes. His thumb skims over my lower lip, slowly puling at it. I catch his thumb with my teeth, gently bitting. The next moment his mouth is on mine, his hand on the back on my neck and he's kissing me so softly and slow.

"I promise you, I will never hurt you Anna, I won't let anyone hurt you again I promise" he whispers in my ear. I wrap my arms around him and he does the same. I know we haven't known each other for long but I can't help the warm and safe feeling spreading inside me.

"Let's go to bed" he says getting up and giving me his hand. I take it and he leads me into his bedroom. Laying down, he covers us with a duvet. He wraps his arms around me puling me into him, his leg over mine. He wrapped around me like a cocoon.Who knew Jack Preston could be this loving. I can't help but smile. His bed smells just like him, I bring the sheets to my nose and take the scent in. Heaven. "Goodnight Baby" he kisses my ear. "Goodnight" I smile.

I wake up with the morning sun shining on my face. I almost forgot where I was. Flashbacks of last night enters my head. I turn to my right only to find the bed is empty. I can hear voices coming from the living room, almost like shouting. I walk towards the shouting. To my surprise I see Jess and Jack in the living standing glaring at each other. Jack is standing topless with just his sport shorts on, his expression full of anger .

"what's going on?" I asked confused, what is she doing here?.

"Really her?" she laughs. Before I had the chance to say anything she blurts out

"You cancelled our plans for her, is she really worth it?" she snickers

Oh no, don't tell me he had plans to sleep with her today. A look of betrayal washes over my face,

"Whoa, whoa, whoa. It's not like that!" he raise his hands trying to reach out to me. I quickly turn on my heels not giving him time to explain.

"You are really fucking this up for me" he shouts at her. I quickly grab my stuff and start getting dressed. Jack walks in and exhales loudly behind me.

"Please Anna it's not what you think"(J)

"Really? so you didn't invite her to come over for a fuck, I am such an idiot" I glare at him "You're you and I'm me. I'm never going to be enough" (A) his eyes open wide at my words.

"What's that suppose to mean?" (J)

"Please you know exactly what it means!" He runs his hand through his hair.

"Fuck sake, Anna" he leaves, I hear him in the hallway talking to Jess

"Get the fuck out of my house, fucking now!" He growls at her

"What? you're really choosing her over me? you know I'm so much better than her" She laughs

"Trust me, you're not even worth a hair on her head" he raises his voice again. " You knew we were a one time thing. I thought you understood this. Please just leave"

I hear the door slam. I walk into the living room and find him leaning against the couch with his arms crossed. Anger painted across his face. He looks heavenly, his arms are so toned and muscular, I couldn't stop staring.I walk towards him and as soon as he sees me his expression changes.

"Listen, I know how that looked but I swear I never made plans to fuck her today or any day. she's just a friend, was a friend. She probably saw you leave with me yesterday and thought she'd crash our plans. I don't know but I promise there's nothing between me and Jess" his tone is sincere. I can't help but believe him after he basically threw Jess out

"I don't understand what she hopes to gain from doing this, if she knew you weren't interested in her?" I ask

"Jess was one of the people who told me I didn't have a chance with you. After a night out with her we had sex. She was never the one who caught my eye, she knew this. I guess she's just sour that you are here… with me" he pushes himself off of the couch and walks towards me. To be fair, that's in the past. I can't be mad at him for sleeping with her. Back when the rumours were going around about him and Jess, well and Amy, it's not like ever paid him any attention. I just tried to steer clear of him.

"I'm sorry- for jumping to conclusions" I look up at him. He traces his thumb over my lips.

"Don't be, if situation was reverse I'd think the same" he looks at me. "Can we just carry on and spend the day together?" I nod. I'm suddenly in the air and straddling him. I kiss him and whisper

"good morning" (A)

"Not how I wanted our morning to start" He says
