Inside the Lair

Darkness covered the inside of the place for no visible sign of light was emitted from the many holes of the worn out and battered metal sheet door covering. I crossed the other side of the street to take a good look for any signs of any erected structure that would be standing at the far end of the compound. There was indeed a building silhouetted by the lights of the upper floors of the taller structures coming from its back side. The top portion of the building looked like an unfinished first floor of an edifice with its out-extended steel rods protruding out toward the sky. Then an audible low voice conversation helped amplified by the silence of the surrounding was coming from behind the metal door, and becoming louder as the owners of the voices approached the entrance. I made a quick dash to return to the indented space.
