The blank page in front of me seems to be mocking me I mean it's not always blank sometimes I manage to write down a whole sentence before I feel the need to erase the whole thing from existence because of embarrassment. I write Fanfiction as a hobby and I think that speaks enough about my writing ability but it's never been this frustrating before sure I've had writer's block on several of my dead stories. I had always managed to crank something new out but now all my ideas seemed to have faded away.
I sigh for what seems the hundredth time today and I continue to stare blankly at my screen, after a couple of minutes of this cycle I give up and start to browse the internet it's a shame to cause A Prinnie being dropped into Worm sounded like a cool idea. As I browse through Space Battles I remember that Worm CYOA has been some entertaining reads so I figured I could do the same to hopefully pass this thing called writer's block. I've never done the whole CYOA thing before so I don't exactly know where to look for them but Google comes to the rescue again! I glance through the first CYOA but the powers are far too OP and I don't think I can write something like that without dying of embarrassment, so onto the second one but the pictures of this one look kind of lame...yes, I judge the book by its cover sue me, well onto the third one I guess this one looks like the one.
I skip the introduction cause I want to get my creative juices flowing now and I'm sure that the paragraph of text is not going to help. My first decision appears to be difficulty and while I do want to write something interesting I also want to write a story about an OP troll wrecking shit so God mode it is that leaves me with ten points to start off with kewl.
Alright, now I can finally spend my points on the good stuff, powers! First up to bat are the Lesser powers for some reason probably going to skip over this until I see the stronger stuff but might as well read it.
Apprentice allows me to become well an apprentice in some truly world-bending powers like arcane and divine magic but that would need for me to build up and well the Wormverse would scare me so any SI based off of me would avoid this for now.
Twins allows me to copy any cannon power? Well, that might be useful especially since I can jailbreak a power to make it better but I feel like it would be a waste of points for now.
Wildcard gives me a random power with a random strength level, this right here is going to be my bane I can already feel the need to spend an outrageous amount of points gambling for OP stuff damn my addictive personality...sigh, I'll skip it.
Now that the Lesser powers have been vetted I can move on to the Greater powers which should be filled with OP nonsense I'm probably going to be salivating at my choices.
First is Crossover which allows me to pick any comic book character and gain their powers/memories/skills if I pick something too OP the power gets knocked down to Triumvirate level but it will grow back to full power eventually, this is rather interesting I wonder what the powers that be consider comic books as technically Manga is a comic book just a Japanese one. Who am I kidding in this whole thing I'm the power that be so I can bend the rules if I want to. Now who should I pick? They made a Fate anime so there should be a Manga meaning the Kaleidoscope is on the table Re:Monster is also on the table but the Kaleidoscope crushes that damn, this is hard. Bah I'll pick it after looking through everything else but most likely going to pick Kischur Zelretch Schweinorg the Kaleidoscope is too OP.
Next power is Exalted, which I should skip out right as I have no clue how this system runs and trying to write a story about something I know nothing about would be stupid.
The Gamer is up next which would pair nicely with the Kaleidoscope and it would make an okay story I think. The thing is this comes with no Magic I need to have the ability to cast before I can do Magic but the Crossover should allow me to not only use the Kaleidoscope but also Magecraft so Unlimited potential paired with the vast infinity of the Multiverse will be nice.
Next is Mad Talent which basically means I get one talent that is beyond any rules or laws for example the talent of Theft with it I could steal anything including concepts and powers, or I could gain the talent of Lie meaning my lies could fool anyone including the laws of the universe meaning I could lie and say that I was bulletproof and the universe would believe me. There is a lot of potential for power with this choice but I don't think I could write an interesting story with it so I'll skip it.
I'm nearing the end of the Greater Powers which means I'm going to have to make my decision soon. The next power is Servant meaning I can pick any Servant from the Nasuverse and I will gain their Ability, Noble Phantasm, Memories and even appearance if I want it 4 points for a regular servant like Emiya, Hercules, and Medea but OP Servants like Gilgamesh, Karna, Solomon and The Beast are 6 points. I could use Crossover to get the OP Servants for the cost of 4 points but they would be nerfed with a power creep so interesting but nothing concrete yet.
The last of the Greater powers are Words of Power meaning that I could use my words to affect the world around me it starts off relatively weaker in comparison to other powers but it gains power quickly. I could totally see a story about a character in Worm gaining this power and calling themselves The Narrator but I don't think I'm up for a story like that right now but I'll shelf it for now.
So that's all of the Greater powers meaning I can pick my powers now wait, there is another page and these ones are called World Breaking and they cost 8 points ouch. I guess I should read over these ones as I need to know all of my options before I make a decision.
First is Alexandria or Superman-lite as I like to call her, it seems this version of her power is moved pretty high in comparison to cannon but with Twins and Jailbreak I could probably get the same result for less cost so skip!
Next is Legend or Dakka-king again the power is marked up but as before I could probably get similar results SKIP!
Eidolon the man of OP or He Who Needed Worthy Opponents suffers from the same problems as the previous two and I don't think I could write something interesting about a character like him.
Emperor of Man is interesting basically I get all the tech from the 40k universe and I also gain unparalleled Pyker plus super physique and mental capabilities, this could work out well but the problem with this one is that I know next to nothing about the 40k universe meaning I would have to do a lot of research before writing anything interesting so Skip!
Huh, up next is the Kaleidoscope does that mean my idea about getting it through Crossover is doomed? No, this here is the complete mastery of the Kaleidoscope while Crossover would provide a nerfed version of Kischur Zelretch Schweinorg that will grow in power so what do I want instant mastery or a build up? Well this is a story so build up it is.
Inspired Inventor makes me a Tinker god capable of adding upon my knowledge in all fields every day by investing my points. Honestly, this one sounds insanely powerful but writing fiction about sci-fi robots and tech beyond comprehension is not really my stick. I'm usually more fantasy oriented and I appreciate the intricacies of magic systems.
Psychokinetic is up to bat and it allows me to control all forms of energy and matter the problem with this is all power no finesse and it might be difficult killing Scion as he exists in multiple planes of existence. It would be interesting but unless I made some weird leaps it would be hard to reach the end goal of this story. Plus the multiverse being on the table here would be my first choice if I was going to go by my own instincts.
Power Manipulation means I can make powers and give them to myself or others by spending a pool of points I get, I can also copy, null, steal, improve, and edit all powers including ones I've not made. This is frankly absurd and gives you the world for the mere price of eight points. It is an insanely powerful and interesting way to go about working with powers. On the other hand, I would have to balance the pool of points or the story would go off the rails.
Shaper makes me Panacea on crack meaning I can change all biology including my own if I wish. So I could mold an army of bio hazards with fugly bobs burgers. The Zerg running rampant in the Worm verse would be cool but it runs into similar problems with the end goal. Anything biological would be putty in my hands but space whale-sama is very much not made of meat.
So that's all the powers which left me to choose something, now if this was real I would go for the full Kaleidoscope and an Apprentice in Arcane Magic but this is not for me I plan to write a story about this meaning I need to pick something interesting. From all my options I see a Crossover of Kischur Zelretch Schweinorg and The Gamer as the best options unlimited potential mixed with the vastness of the Multiverse sign me up! So that costs me 8 points leaving me with two I'm tempted to pick up another power but I should look at the advantages first.
Gamer fics are rather over done but they have a reason for existing.
First up on the list is Badass Normal which I can't pick cause it only activates if I did not buy a power, this basic gives me an advantage for being normal but not needed. Sure, Batman can wreck shit but the guy runs off of paranoia and unreal levels of plot armor. If you had the choice of being a mundane individual or having powers it should be an easy choice.
Next is Cauldron Vials I get five vials that give the drinker superpowers I can only gain one power from them, not really feeling it The Gamer and my Crossover should be enough power. It would be interesting for plot potential later but I could buy better things like apprentice. The vials also cause some people to become Case 53s so risky.
Charles Atlas Superpowers would put me on the peak of everything human basically making me Batman mixed with Daredevil, it would be cool with Badass Normal but again not needed. Having Captain America in Worm sounds like a terrible way to die. The end goal would be being squished under the foot of a giant Kaiju.
Comic Book Pretty… this one basically amounts to me being very attractive no matter the situation, this one is a bit of a joke pick I guess but better than the previous ones so maybe for now. Being pretty is a power in of itself after all, the Gamer should pick up the slack in that regard so still a maybe.
Companion allows me to create a character who gets two points for every point I invest in them. I suppose I could write my friends into the story and give them powers but that just seems odd to me. I already feel weird bringing up my writing hobby I do not need to add the function of writing about them. I could write a loyal character to follow me around but this is a multiverse story so that was not needed.
Items of Power allows me to get any power at half the cost as long as I have that item meaning if it's destroyed my power is gone it also means others could take my power away, kind of tempted to switch up my previous choices for more points but I kind of want my core powers to be impossible to be stolen. Although, an arc about the kaleidoscope template being stolen would be interesting and it would save me some points.
Man of Mystery makes it impossible to divine information about me as long as I don't allow it, I really need this as I don't want Contessa putting a bullet in my head because she thought I would mess up things. Or big titty angel lady decided she wants a ride all across the multiverse.
Next is Plot Armor...it's plot armor. Frankly, this is OP but at the same time I'm writing this story. Why in God's name would I spend points of this when I could just give myself plot armor? I guess I could argue about the character I'm designing appreciating having the plot behind him but it kind of sounds boring.
Resources gives me a ton of money and a mansion. Nope, this is not needed as The Gamer provides plenty of cash. If I was given superpowers and I still found myself broke then I was not using my superpowers right.
Special Snowflake makes it impossible to copy, null, or basically do anything to my powers. I hate the name but it's needed so yes I'm a very Special Snowflake.
So that means I'm buying Special Snowflake and Man of Mystery both cost 1 point so that means I spent all of my points boo ya! I can still gain some more points by gaining some disadvantages so I might as well check them out.
The first disadvantage is case 53 it's worth 2 points but I would rather have a human appearance. Sure, being a slime might get me another two points but I can't see myself picking this.
Enemy makes a character that gains 2 points for every time I take this option plus they can pick their own disadvantages for up to 5 points, I don't really see this as worth it I'm already pretty happy with my sheet and I don't want to have an enemy with OP powers like the ones I have. Trying to write an enemy that would chase me down to the ends of the world sounds like a hassle.
Next up is Reincarnation now this I can use I don't really feel like using my own appearance for this as it would be weird, I think I would feel awkward writing about myself using my exact appearance. Now for one point I get no memories from them which I'm fine with and for another point I don't get to pick who it is huh, how would that work out? I suppose I could click random page on the Worm Wiki until I get a character that should be fine right? Whatever let's see who I get ….Scion!? ...I think I should reroll kind of removes the fun of it if I kill it by becoming it. Let's see interludes, chapter names, policies and I get...SCION AGAIN! Is the world trying to tell me something? Don't care not fun AGAIN! Finally someone that's not Scion Camden Ito aka Lightslinger, I have no idea who this is but as long as they are not Scion I'm good.
Alright next is a Geas for one point I can introduce a rule I have to follow or suffer pain or even death huh, that's okay the question is what should my rule be? How about something easy like I have to keep my promises yeah, that sounds good.
Pint-Sized makes me a kid age 6-11 and I'm kind of fine with that a lot of stories require characters to be a rather young age like Harry Potter I would have to arrive before my 11th birthday if I want to attend Hogwarts so I'll take this flaw and make myself 11.
Wanted makes me wanted by a group I don't really intend to spend the first Arc of my story on Earth-bet in fact I'm planning on not being there until I'm OP so offending a group or three is fine for me. So let's take 2 points for choosing a powerful group that group being The S9 and let's take another point for them wanting to kill me desperately.
Wildblow? What's a Wildblow? Would remove all Cannon Knowledge that I know of but only things I know now I could for example go read the book later on if I so choose. I think that makes this an easy pick.
Without a Map drops me off in a random place instead of where ever my character was supposed to be, for 1 point it's merely somewhere inconvenient or for 2 points it could be somewhere dangerous. I think I'll just take the 1 point here.
Let's see I get 3 points from Reincarnation, 1 point from Geas, 1 point from Pint-sized, 3 points from Wanted, 2 points from Wildblow and finally 1 point for Without a Map leaving me with 11 points...wow that's a lot. With that, I could afford another greater power if I wanted. Or I could get a variety of low but interesting powers.
Well, spending a point to add Libromancy to my magic potential is good. Being able to take things out of books is a frankly insane power and one that could be interesting to write all on it's own. Mark that idea down for later. Another point for Harry Potter magic as it is very versatile if only because it is rather vague. This CYOA came out before Hogwarts Legacey so I'm getting a steal on potential ancient magic as well. Tempted to add Naruto Ninjustu to the mix as well as Shadow Clones is a must have hax. Bah, might as well I have the points to burn.
That still leaves me nine points and that is just absurd. I'm trying to not give myself things that would immediately make me OP but I was already pushing it. The Gamer is a be all end all type of deal after all. Other than that most of the things I picked just opened up skill trees. So maybe one power to pull me through here.
Well, I find the notion of a multi-dimensional store interesting. The ability to trade and sell goods to anyone in the never ending stream of worlds is massive. Most Gamer fanfics have that little bit added but the Gamer I'm getting is just the standard system so I have to find a character that could trade. Erun Steelguard has the ability to trade in the multiverse and he is a Manhwa protag so I can get him with Crossover. Not only do I get a trading platform I get VIP access to it. Meaning I know what the average price range is for items and I can view information about the various traders. I also get a 10% discount and 15% cashback which is crazy. To finish it off I get a sign in function that gives me things.
Honestly, it is a massive upgrade to most trading platforms but it is not too eye-catching. A perfect blend. Erun had other abilities but it is pretty bland in comparison to his trading cheat so I can scarp those parts.
I said I was going to pick a good power and here I am picking more options for increasing potential. Well I might as well go for even more potential and something that would work well with the store function. Using twins I can get Dauntless' power and I can jail break it as well for an additional point.
Dauntless power is to empower items using a pool of energy that he builds up daily. Honestly, this power can work out like Power Manipulator but a gimped version. Dauntless can not copy or null any powers he sees after all. All he can do is empower items that could mean he increased the sharpness of something massively or a more abstract concept like making attacks slide off of you. I can use jailbreak to increase the speed in which my energy pools. A greet power that costs a total of 3 points.
Armsmaster bitches all of the time about Dauntless being overpowered and whining about him taking his place but no one finds that worthy of attention. The guy had one of the most potential worthy powers but he gets glossed over all the time in fanfics. That leaves me one fucking point…I could get Comic Book Pretty or another apprentice but I was already pretty versatile.
Is it gambling time? Please tell me it's gambling time. Alright, one pick of Wildcard aaaaannnnd I got...Omniscience…..No, just no. How the fuck did I get that lucky? Even if I rolled low on the power scale something like Omniscience could not be tame. Alright, one more spin and this time I got Resurrection. Still pretty powerful but I'll take it over Omniscience I already felt scummy for rerolling as it defeats the purpose but the plot gods have to understand. Now for power scale I got a 4 plus 2 so I got a 6 on the PRT scale. I have no idea what that would mean in reference to Resurrection but I could figure it out.
Alright, so my sheet is down let's see what I got.

Well...That's certainly something… Honestly with 21 points I really should have expected this but seeing it all in one page really puts it into perspective and I don't think it's a nice image kind of too OP for my tastes maybe I should scrap this? Well, I suppose that's not fair most of the powers are ones that grow the only one that's truly strong at the start is maybe the cross-over for Kischur but I am only using him for his True Magic.
So with that thought in mind I go to sleep and then I died.

Chapter 2
I have had surreal experiences before. Like when I tried edibles for the first time and the world around me felt like it was going too fast and too slow at the same time. Or that time that I saw a flash mob and was shocked when fifty people in front of me stood completely still. Those experiences while interesting were rather mundane in comparison to what I was feeling right now.
I had gone to sleep feeling a weird sort of tension in my chest but I ignored it. It was not painful so I figured I could take care of it in the morning as a doctor's appointment was only a matter of waiting around for a bit.
So you can imagine my surprise when I awoke not in my bed but in a chair. Hell, I was not even in one of my own chairs I was in a sleek office chair in the middle of a board room. I was seated at a long round table with several odd figures sitting around the table as well. The strange situation I found myself in and the people around me had that surreal feeling overwhelming me for a moment.
I would considered it a dream but my dreams had never been this vivid and this felt way too real. It felt more like I was in my bed one moment and I was whisked away from it in the next. The only thing that really bothered me was the people around me.
You would figure a board meeting would have several well-dressed individuals with fresh pressed suits and dresses. There were some of those individuals around me but the vast majority were fucking dressed like cosplayers. I would give them credit for how well the costumes turned out but I did not recognize a single person here. So maybe it was less of a cosplay and more of a larp but I did not recall signing up for a superhero larp.
One guy was wearing a polar bear skin with his muscled frame on full display. Beyond that, the guy had shades on and he would not look out of place in one punch man. Then there was a girl with a skintight leather body suit that really accented her curves. While I appreciated the leather she did not look like anyone I knew as she had a bright purple afro. I felt a little strange looking at her as she was clearly trying to sell sex appeal but I was just not feeling it which was odd.
I was going to take another look around at everyone but the relative peace I was experiencing broke apart. Several figures stood up from their chairs and skitted away from me. Loud shouts and shock and confusion filled the room as every eye landed on me. I kind of fed off of that energy and tried to skit out of my chair as well but I had an issue.
My legs did not reach the ground….MY FUCKING LEGS DID NOT REACH THE GROUND. I was not outrageous in a lot of things but there was one thing I took some measure of pride in. I was over six feet so this experience was freaking me the fuck out. That shock faded as I looked at myself further.
"Fuck, Light are you alright?" The polar bear guy questioned after a moment of shock but I was too busy to respond. Not that I knew he was referring to me. No, my mind was spinning a mile a second as I got a handle on my body.
I was short, skinny, and dressed up in a bright red spandex outfit that did not even remotely fit me. I could see my skin under that spandex and the sunkissed skin that I was used to gave way to pale skin. I could maybe get over all of that but the final nail in the coffin was how tiny I looked. I was a fucking child again and apparently one that might have changed his race.
I could only look around with numb shock at the rest of the room. The costume brigade was looking over at me but also looking around the room trying to find something.
"Cam?" A new voice joined the fray. A man who had various flowers planted over a vest of green grass. His face was covered with an elaborate mask coupled with long ivory elk horns. He looked interesting but all I could think about when looking at him was how he must feel real top heavy with those antlers attached to his head.
He was looking over at me when he spoke but I was certainly not a Cam….but I was also not a child and that seemed to be the case right now. My mind may have been running a mile a minute but the rest of me was numb from everything going around us.
[Welcome user Camden Ito! Your application to the {REDACTED} agency has been accepted all the perks and powers you have purchased have been given to you and the various disadvantages have taken effect. Good luck with your journey!]
This situation stunk of something strange and unusual and while I would like to think I was dreaming something in my gut said that was wrong. So I started to add up the facts with a speed I was not familiar with.
This was happening I could not deny that. I was in a child's body and the people around me seemed to know the body. They had an aura about them that screamed concern but mostly about their own safety. They were moments away from doing something and considering the strange situation I found myself in it might not be good for me.
A strange message showed up in front of me and called me Camden Ito. Considering that one guy saying Cam that was probably the name of this body. Since everyone is so worried about me my current state was wrong. Considering the spandex suit that was falling off of me this body was not originally a child. All of these things were ringing a familiar tune. The last thing I had done was fill out a CYOA and I had been brainstorming a story while I slept.
As a firm believer in going with the flow I had to accept something strange was going on. That or I was dreaming and I would eventually wake up from all of this. Until that second point becomes reality I might as well treat this as the situation I had to deal with. I would rather be a fool in a dream as opposed to being harmed because I consider everything fake.
Another screen popped up and I was tempted to read it this instant but I had more pressing matters to take care of. The tension in the room was about to pop and I had to deal with it before the maybe superheroes started throwing laser beams around.
"I'm fine…..just really fucking shocked that I'm a kid right now." I shot out in a numb manner. I could try to be calm and collected but that would not fit the changes I was going through. Hearing my response several members calmed a bit but they were still worried. Not that I could blame them one of their comrades turned into a child right in front of them.
Fuck I am a child again and it was my own fucking choice. Some of the details of the CYOA were blurred and confusing to me but I could remember clearly that I picked the pint sized disadvantage because I planned a multiverse journey and Hogwarts needed midgets. I had always wanted to go to Hogwarts but this….this was supposed to be a fun story to relax the tension I was feeling.
Now I was in my CYOA character and I had no idea what to feel about that.
"Must be a shock to have the great Lightslinger like this, then again if I was suddenly a punk kid again I would be questioning god." The polar bear man let out loudly further breaking the tension. I gave him a flat look that had him relaxing further.
I then looked away from them as my mind came running again. I could not recall any knowledge of this world as I took a disadvantage to remove meta knowledge of this place. All I could recall from it was vague memories of superheroes and the need to defeat Scion even if I had no idea who that was. Oh, and that even with the broken build that I made with THE GAMER I was still hesitant about sticking around in the place.
I looked over the new pop up as I needed the information.
[Quest Received: Nut up chump!]
You have found yourself in a strange and confusing place. Get and handle on the situation and figure out where you are.
Reward: Not being a fool.
Punishment: You will never be able to put simple facts together again.

I felt my face twitch from the screen but it faded after I read it to a congratulations screen. The Gamer system was being a prick but at least it was not demanding that I stuck around here. It was just giving me a warning about my situation.
Knowing what I knew about the gamer system I pulled up my stats.

I looked over my stats with some confusion on my face. The fact that my race had a question mark on it was worrying as I did not pick something that would change that as far as I was aware. The stats on the other hand are equally confusing. Clearly I had low beginner stats but they were being elevated by something. So even if my base was worthless I could act in the range of superhuman for most things.
Before I did anything else I pumped all of my points into LUK. All of my other stats had boosts and I was not going around with 1 fucking luck point. That was asking for death by random shit falling on me.
[Quest Received: The cattle is up for slaughter.]
For some strange reason, the Slaughterhouse Nine know about you and they are compelled to take your organs out of your body and make them someone else's. They don't know your exact location but they know the city. So they will soon arrive and play their sick games until they can find your dumb ass.
Survive the coming storm or kill yourself now to save yourself the pain that is coming.
Reward: You get to continue breathing, 1000 XP and several other things depending on your method of escape.
Punishment: Well there is not much I could do to you that would beat what they will do so let's leave it at me calling you a dumbass.

The calm feeling I was experiencing faded away like a dream. My heart started pounding and I felt everything slow down as my mind spun again. I remember taking that disadvantage seeing it as easy points as I would be leaving quickly in my story. Now I had murder hobos after me and that thought had me panicking. I was not the type of person to fight let alone fight for my survival. I was just some guy not the hero of stories even if I had all of these gifts.
The panic was overwhelming but one notion managed to drag me out of the storm. In my original story, I had planned on leaving and I gave my character the key to getting out of here. If I had all of these gifts then I had to have that as well!
I brought up my skills at a maddening pace. I had various skills that any normal person had like running or the English language skill but I was not after regular skills. I ignored the power skills that I had given myself for now in favor of the one thing I needed right now.
[True Magic Kalediscope Lv:1/999]
Most Magus can produce results that would shock and confuse the unknowing populace. Summoning flames that could devour the world or turn lead into gold. Now a Magus can only use feats that could be replicated with knowledge and skill. Their only ability is to cut on time and resources with Mana as a replacement.
You are not just a Magus you are a MAGE. You can produce a feat that can not be replicated by even the most advance technology. Well, at least the technology you have access to. You have access to the parallel axes. Meaning everything that could be and that everything that is, is at your fingertips.
Parallel World Travel (Limited to the chunk of multiverse you are currently on.)
Cost: Varies based on where you choose to go.
The Blind Eternities ( Instead of controlling where you end up you are punted through the ever-expanding multiverse.)
Cost: All the Mana you currently have.

This was what I wanted beyond even the Gamer itself. I did not have the mastery that the Troll himself had but I had access to it. Judging from what I was reading if I chose where I was going I could only go to a parallel version of Worm instead of the vast multiverse. That is an interesting feat in itself and it would save me from what ever is coming for me but that was not what I wanted.
I may not remember Worm but the knowledge that I did not want to be here stuck to me. So my only option is to jump into the never ending storm of the multiverse.
I activated the skill and the world around me dissolved into a maddening storm of light and colors. I could even swear that I was tasting the world around me.
