Prepping for the reveal

Qwen set a gray box on the table and opened it. He slowly took out the shiny black helmet with green glowing lights inside.

"This is the future of gaming. It called called an uh.. umm...Cybergenetic Gaming Helm, but I call it the CG Helm for short. I can explain what it does or I can let you see. It's much better to experience it personally."

Have you seen the upload of System's End?

Matt shook his head.

"No I don't have to lookat videos that don't pay me anything."

Qwen nodded.

"Well this video will. Watch this."

"Here is an uploaded link of a video of the game."

Qwen took out his smartphone and played the video for Matt. Matt skepically watched the video with a condescending smirk. Soon the smike froze on his a but it quickly relaxed into shock. Then he went back to showing a skeptical face.

"Wow! You almost had me there. I dont care about seeing a trailer to a game. All I see are amazing actors and amazing CGI. If it was really a game that's something else but this? It's no game changer for due to the amount of money that will needed to making one this. It would be astronomically high for the software needed not to mention gaming isn't in my line of work. Sorry but it not worth it.

We already have VR goggles without the helm...."

Qwen was seeing his door closing hurrily stop the frustrated billionaire.

"VR goggles aren't even close. Put it on, then give me your answer."

'What was this kid saying?' Matt thought to himself. 'Hes still so confident in his idea. Why the he is he so sure of himself? Is he actually serious?'

Matt slowly reached across the table. He grabbed the helmet and reluctantly put it on his head. Qwen walked around the massive desk as he did so. Once he got it on and secured it on his head he spoke.

"Now what? Hold wait! How man times have yous tes-."

Matt instantly went limp in his chair.

"Only twice now." Qwen responded with a chuckle.

He sat back in his chair and waited on his boss Matt to come back. And waited....then waited some more. Looks like Matt had the last laugh because he didn't come out of the game until 3 and a half hours later. Qwen was dozing in his chair when Matt finally made it back and startled him.

He gasped once he came out. He was breathing hard from exeliartion and adrenaline. He was sweating and gripped his seat.

"Oh shit! Holy mother of...what WAS that!? That wasn't a fucking game that, that, I don't even have a name for something like that! How long was I inside?

"About 3 and a half hours."

"What! I was in there over 10 days! I could feel everything. Do anything! I had magic, learned to use a bow, cook, fight, I even died! I could literally feel myself become stronger. I don't feel too hungry or tired now. I feel amazing right now I can still remember how to use a bow! This isnt just amazing, this is like alien technology or something!"

"My god only 3 hours. It's definitely doesn't feel like 3 hours in one space had passed. It's so weird. Qwen I can't describe it at all but I lived it all!"

Matt was still mumbling to himself when Qwen interrupted his thoughts

"So my terms?"

"Huh? Terms? Whatever you want its yours! Here's an advance of 5 million dollars. Let me know if there is anything else you need. Qwen I don't need money I have more than I can spend alone. I wanted a legacy to leave behind and with this I'm going to have my name etched in history! This is going to change the world!"

"Yeah!" Was all Qwen could say when Matt talked about his legacy.

'If you only knew how short-lived that legacy will be.' Qwen thought to himself.

Qwen had to leave but had to take the helmet with him much to Matt's dismay. He practically begged like a child for Qwen to leave it but he still refused. Qwen didn't want this thing to get out this soon. Besides Matt, it would be a secret project that no one would know until he was prepped for mass production. On the drive home, Qwen excitedly checked the link and the views were already up to 20 million views and they were spiking up the second. By morning, it should be in the hundreds of millions. Qwen screamed in excitement.

"Whoooo!!"

The driver smirked in the rearview mirror and rolled up the window to give Qwen further privacy. Now Qwen only needed to worry about training once his game went worldwide.

The next morning, Qwen sent Matt a list if his requirements for mass production of the gaming helms.

He needed a massive server room, a staff of designers and developers. A building that Qwen owned but had Matt signature 'Bos' label as the name of the building. BosTech Gaming industries.

The state of the art building was built on the edge of the city along with the manufacturing warehouse. Qwen had used cheap plastics to make his 1st helmet but Matt provided him more durable materiel so the gaming helms were much more resistant to damage.

The issues was manufacturing. So Qwen began taking care of the problem with Matts money of course. Over 20 warehouses were rented out across the surrounding area as storage houses where millions of the units will be stored.

Matt wanted to push back the release date to create buzz for the next year. Qwen didn't have a year. His whole reason for creating the product was to get people prepare to handle catastrophes that were to come.

Matt pushed back on everything financial, but he knew that Qwen was stubborn as an ox. He would only look helpless and sigh as went along with Qwen. He knew he would make is money regardless he just hated to part with it. Soon they would had enough to ship worldwide. He needed as many hands to get on the device as possible.

Qwen wanted the the first 25,000,000 sets out transported in stores by months end. Matt had been the face of the game for the last week but he was running out of ways to answers questions. It was a two weeks after their meeting that Matt called Qwen explaining how he he had to be at the reveal. Dispite Qwens protest he couldn't refuse.

After his weeks long meetings with Matt's representatives to get the manufacturing and contracts with started by the months end. Qwen was training when he received the calls about the resources he needed to build server towers. Qwens was currently inside of a massive fog spamming spells at massive blocks Qwen had transported into his back yard from a local construction company. He also practiced his Rod combat skills constantly. He had started to correct his steps and and more power and quickness to his strikes. He had no wasted movements and they became much more fluid. He had finally risen it to the intermediate level to Qwens relief. He didn't know howling it would take before he was able to push past that threshold from 'beginning' to 'intermediate'.

When he rested he studied. Having at least the knowledge to begin perfecting a studied subject. With time and a high enough INT stat he could advanced any spell or skill unbelievably fast.

So online, Qwen learned the basic level of thousands of subjects. He will still would master them all over time with his skills. This was in addition to what he ad already acquired from the system.

The reveal was tomorrow and that had to be done or he would ignore it. If He wanted his game to go internatioa then was a small sacrifice that he would have to make. He prepped himself as best he could. He had a tight chest and knots in his throat from nervousness. He was waiting for his ride and was sweating bullets. The car finally had arrive to take Qwen to the convention. which was conveniently being held in the heart of the city.

The buzz surround the game skyrocketed. All of the world's media outlets focused on the new and mysterious person behind the untraceable video.

Governments and police departments around the world wanted to find the origins of the video to verify its authenticity. Everyone want to make sure all of the rumors were true. Initially, the U.S. government in particular wanted to locate the creator of the helms and halt the distribution early on to seize control of the entire operation. Matt stayed tight lipped under pressure because he genuinely couldn't locate Qwen.

Yet, even they couldn't do anything stop it before tens of thousands of helmets had mysteriously leaked worldwide. Even then, they still hadn't been in use. All helm would be active at the same time as stated on the package.

They couldn't be activated until Qwen activated them himself. The helms had their own instantaneous wifi network built right into the helms. Qwen invented 20G in his helms pretty much. Something bout his current coding abilities made his engravings much more adaptable to his thoughts.

These newest helms, actually worked out the body by using electrical pulses from the brain while in game. They performed diagnostics and could detect ailments in the helm users that may prohibit gameplay. They essentially were personal devices to keep you into tip top shape. After all the meaning of the devices were to save lives. He needed as many people to survive the integration as possible. Numbers were humanity's best hope.

Qwen spent days with a Q&A team Mastt hired for presser with the media. Qwen made up a bunch of mumbo jumbo as to how things worked and they went with it. After all who could understand liquid data besides Qwen?

The gaming convention had already began and Qwens reveal would be at the end of the show, so hundreds of millions tuned in. Any media outlet that wasn't around would miss the the story of their lives. Qwen entered the building and he was hurried to the stage by some assistant that Matt hired to orchestrate every thing in his surprising absence.

"Where the hell is Matt? How is he not here? Hes supposed to be onstage too!"

Qwen screamed. He hes having a full blown panic attack.

"Aahh!"

The beautiful asian assistant dressed in a dark red dress suit and shirt heels, smiled to try to calm Qwen down.

"You will fine Mr. Valas, I have taken care of everything. You just follow the prompt and everything else will fall in place. Qwen you will do amazing. There is no need to gear anything if you are confident in your designs. Now it's time to go show the world what you got. Good luck."

The beautiful assistant gave Qwen a reassuring smile that made Qwen blush. The assistant smiled and motioned Qwen onstage. He slowly walked up the stairs and stood next to the curtain.

"Now for the this years main event! E4 gaming convention has up next the worlds most popular celebrity today."

"Introducing...NEW WORLD GM's Qwen Valas!"
