1: The Christmas Surprise

The Yule Ball was held in mafia families so that they can find new allies and get to know them better. The young mafia females and males find the person they feel connected to. Their soulmate. Every year it came rolling around with new dramas, battles, and love stories. And this year the two worst enemies, the Kraghor Family and the Toscani Family were both invited. 3rd Person's POV:

Sitting in the living room of the Kraghor residence was Mackenzie Kraghor. The 3rd child of Kaden Kraghor and Arsa Kraghor. She was known for her generosity, determination, bravery, courage, and beauty. She never failed a single challenge. She had good grades. An art portfolio of her own. Good remarks from teachers and friends. Even though life as a Mafia Princess has been a bit tough for Mackenzie but she has always lived to her parents' expectations. In other words, one could say that she was perfect.

Mackenzie's POV:

Today is the famous Christmas Ball. I have to go as I am 17 and, according to the Mafia World, eligible for marriage.

" Kenzie, come I will show you your dress," Tasha, my best friend, said as she entered my room. I turned my smile into a pout. " Tasha, do I have to go? " I asked. " You know the answer to that " she replied. " But my sisters, Ina and June, aren't going " I groaned. " They are too young to go Kenzie. And now no more buts and ifs. Come with me " she said seriously. I sighed and went with her to the dressing room.

We entered the dressing room. " It's gonna be so much fun " Tasha squealed. " Yeah, Yeah. Fun for you as you aren't from the most powerful family " I huffed. Tasha chuckled lightly. " Oh Kenzie, what do you have against your family ". " Nothing. It's just I don't want to be crowded with fake people all the time. Everyone is with my dad as long as he is one of the most powerful gang leaders" I replied. " Okay just leave it. We will go and see what the seamstress Nora has in store for us," Tasha said. I hummed my approval and we left the Kraghor residence.

As soon as we stepped inside, the guards took us to the V. I. P room. The seamstress Nora made her way into the room. " Oh, My, who do we have here today " she smiled. I kinda liked her. She was a very energetic old woman in her late forties. " We want two ball gowns for the Yule Ball," Tasha said. Nora's smile widened. " Sure Honey," she said.

For the next 1 hour, Nora kept showing us gowns and dresses and we kept trying them. But none suited too well. " I've only two dresses left now," Nora said. She brought them out. One was a light blue gown decorated with a dark blue net and gems. The jewelry included light blue earnings, a small light blue heart locket, and blue heels. Along with silver, diamond-studded tiara. The other was a black dress with gold lining at the bottom and sleeves. To match with it was a gold necklace and gold earrings. The shoes were black with some golden diamonds on them. I have to admit, they both were beautiful.

" Liked them? " Nora asked. " Loved them " we replied. " Thank you, my dear lord. Now I will send them to the Kraghor residence and you can get prepared," she said. We nodded.

We soon came back to the Kraghor residence. I took Tasha to my room and we saw our gowns and accessories on the bed. " Nora has a nice and quick service," Tasha said sipping her blueberry juice. " You're right. Can you hand me my apple juice? " I said. She nodded and gave me the glass. I connected the Bluetooth with my phone. I played "Sweet Melodies " by little mix. I and Tasha hummed along. " Having fun, Ladies " Alloy, my nanny, said as she entered. We nodded. " Okay so let's get ready " she smiled. " I better get going," Tasha said. She took the black gown and exited.

After 1 hour, I was ready. Alloy had curled my hair and let it down. She didn't put much make-up on my face saying that I was beautiful without it. It was just black eyeliner and mascara, which made my green eyes more cat-like. " You look stunning Lady Mackenzie " Alloy gasped. I looked in the mirror. " Wow Alloy, you did a great job," I said. " Thank You " she smiled. " OH MY GOD! You look like a fairy from Fairytopia " June said as she came in with Mom, Dad, Ina, Vince, and Silvio. " You do look good " Vince complimented. I can't deny that I was surprised. Vince was the silent type who doesn't speaks much. His deadly glare was enough to make anyone shake in fear. It's not like he wasn't playful and gentle. He was. But only for me.

" Th-Thank you " I replied. " Ina and June, I will drop you, girls, at your Auntie Kylie's house. You better behave yourselves " Dad said. " Okay, Dad," Ina and June said. " Mackenzie, you are going to sit in the black car, " Silvio said. I nodded and went to it with Vince.

" So, What are you planning to do now? " Vince asked me as he took the car out of the garage. " About What? " I asked. " About this whole marriage thing " he specified. " I don't know " I replied, " What about you? ". " I don't know either. It's Stacey O'Brian or Joana Giovanni," he said, " I think that both are equal bitches ". I chuckled at that. He was right about them.

Suddenly, Vince stopped at a house. " Vince, why are we stopping here? " I asked worriedly. " No need to worry, Kenzie. I just wanna tell you a secret which I haven't told anyone... Yet " he replied. " Okay," I nodded. We got out of the car and Vince rang the bell of the house. " Who's there? " a melodious voice asked. " Vince Kraghor " Vince replied. A young woman, nearly 23, opened the door and hugged Vince. She had shoulder-length golden locks and greyish-blue eyes. " Giana, I want you to meet someone, " Vince told her.

She pulled back and looked at me with slight fear in her eyes. " No need to be afraid, " Vince said, sensing her fear. " This " he pointed to me, " Is my little sister, Mackenzie ". Giana gave a nervous smile. " Hi," she said. It took my everything to stop myself from saying 'Aww' at her cuteness. I shook her outstretched hand and smiled back. " Are you Vince's friend? " I asked. She looked at Vince and Vince replied, " A lot more than a friend ". I understood it immediately. " Vince what will you say to Mom and Dad? " I asked. " They will agree as soon as I tell them about these two " he replied as we made our way inside. " These two? " I asked confused. " Yes," he replied.

We sat on the couch in the living room and Giana went upstairs. Soon she returned with a 1-month-old child in her arms. She gave it to me. " Oh my, she's so cute," I said, " What's her name? ". " Sally " Giana smiled. " Your sister? " I asked. " Daughter " she replied. And one thing dawned on me quickly. " VINCE!? " I shrieked with disbelief. He nodded. So that was what he meant by 'these two'. I gave the girl back to Giana and punched Vince's shoulder hard. " Ouch," he muttered. " I became an Auntie and you didn't even tell me " I growled. He chuckled slightly. " I think we should go," he said getting up. He kissed Giana's forehead and we headed out.

" So, now you know what I have planned? " Vince asked. I nodded. " I think right now we should go to the ball or else Dad's gonna skin you alive," I told him. He chuckled and replied, " Sure let's go. I don't wanna be skinned alive and leave my daughter behind ". I shook my head. He will never change. " Here take my phone and set the map," he said. I took it and opened the maps. " It's in the Imperial Fortress," he said. " Marilynn Road? " I asked. " Yeah, " he replied. I placed the phone on the phone stand after setting the location for the Imperial Fortress.

Soon we were at the Fortress. Vince called Silvio. " Where are you? " he asked. " In Hell " Silvio growled. " In Hell? Why? " Vince asked. " STACEY AND JOANA HAVE KILLED ALL MY BRAIN CELLS ASKING ABOUT YOU " Silvio shouted. " You have got your brain damaged but please bro don't damage my ears " Vince winced. " Get. Inside. Right. NOW! " Silvio said through gritted teeth and hung up. Vince shrugged his shoulders and said, " Come on Kenzie. Let's get inside before Silvio's brain decides to burst from anger and irritation ". We both laughed and made our way inside.
