Blame For A Cause

Juno was absentmindedly walking along the beach. He was thinking deeply due to what had happened during his months-long stay at the academy. Until that day, the wand is still being searched for and no one's trying to bring it back.

Everything makes him puzzled. Almost everything. First, he was thinking how he learned danju and kansae so fast without taking any practice Was it really part of him? Or maybe it's because he was really good at observing. Second, about the missing legendary. It was Erin who told him about it, and it made him wonder if he really was the legendary figure. Or instead, his bloodline really belonged to a powerful family. Third, the loss of the ijima wand. Who would dare to steal such a powerful wand, the heart of the academy? 

According to Desu, newcomers and masters won't be able to hold it for a bit because of its powerful energy. Legendaries and school leaders will not have any interest in the wand because they made it.

And lastly, the sudden occurrence of his power. It was from his body and soul. He felt the energy of the earth and water, and there was something he couldn't explain. 

The dark light.

"Juho!" He came back to reality when he heard someone calling him. "The wand!" Desu added. He rushed, and they both ran towards the Spherical. 

They haven't seen each other since that day. Maybe Desu was spending her time with her friends. Jin Ah, the first female legendary. She was the controller of the fire while Erin was the controller of the wind, and that explains why he could hear easily. 

They both reached the place, and everyone around them was in a mess. Maybe because of the wand, as usual. He looked for Professor Kim. On the other hand, Erin was looking for him.

As soon as he found the professor, Erin found him too. He was about to go off the stage, but Erin held his hand and dragged him to the other side of the spherical. He was confused.

"What the—Erin?" he said when he recognized him "Where are you taking me?" he asked. Erin didn't answer, but instead, they stopped where someone could hear them. "What?" he asked.

"Stop it, Juho," Erin said. "I saw you take the wand. Don't mess us around. You were the one who wandered into the sanctum that night," he admitted bluntly. Juho was stunned and gasped as soon as he processed Erin's words. 

"How dare you accuse me of something I didn't do?" he grumbled. "I never stole the wand," he defended.

"Maybe that explains why you have inexplicable abilities even if you're just a lowly mortal," Erin dispraises. Juho can't utter a word. He didn't expect that he would be blamed for the thing he never did. "I wonder why Professor Kim's giving you a privilege here. You were just nothing," he added. He couldn't stop himself and he punched Erin, who immediately fell to the ground.

"I may have no parents, but I never steal something I don't own," he said. "You have no concrete evidence to prove that I stole the wand!" he exclaimed and turned away, but before he left, he said, "Like you, even if I am a moral person, I still don't have an interest in power. I just want to live normally. And even if I have the power, I have no reason to use it," he added and left.

Erin was left dumbfounded, but he clinched his fist. He glared at Juho, who had just left in front of him. His breath was heavy and his head was clouded. He was gritting his teeth because of anger. He couldn't believe that Juho was denying it. He knew what he saw. It was Juho who came out of the Sanctum's door.

He saw him that night before the Ijima wand was gone. That's why he was looking at him that day when they were called for an announcement. Because Erin was very sure that he saw Juho. And it was Juho. He stole the wand.

"Im Ju-ho." Juho stopped as soon as he heard someone's voice calling him. And when he looked at it, it was the Professor, who was looking at him disappointedly, worried and...

—fear. Juho suspected that the news had already reached the professor based on how he looked at him. "Don't tell me you believe them?" he asked, but the professor didn't speak. Silence means yes, he thought. He chuckled disappointedly. You've known me since then, and you just believe every word they spit out? "Prof., I may not have parents or have grown up outside of the city, but there is one thing I will never do," he defended, his gaze fixed on the professor. "I will never steal something I don't own," he said.

The professor sighed and said, "Juho. I believe you, but someone saw you walking outside the sanctum. I can't just ignore that, Juho. That was evidence and can prove that it was you, "he replied. Juho's laugh was crack. He couldn't believe everything that was just happening.

"This is insane. This is not right. I never did this crime. I will never, ever steal the wand. Professor Kim, I don't care about power. Ever since I got here, my life has become one big question that has drowned me in confusion. I was clueless. All the skills and powers I've shown have led me to find myself. Please, believe me..." he pleaded. All he wanted was to find an answer. All of these years, he didn't know that he was something like Sphereans. He was not just an ordinary person, but someone with powers. "Never in my life have I encountered a situation like this, prof." He sighed. "I was born alone, I maybe an asshole but never a thief," he added.
