Chapter 7: Xu Yang

Reon was taken aback by the unexpected voice that emanated from behind him. 

"Big brother!"

Glancing behind him, Reon noticed a young man who appeared to be a couple of years his junior standing there. He was also wearing an outer sect disciple attire.

He is a young man of average height with a lean, athletic build that reflects years of disciplined training.

His short, slightly tousled black hair frames a kind face, and his dark brown eyes carry a warmth that contrasts with the quiet determination behind them.

His skin is lightly tanned from long hours spent outdoors, and a faint scar marks his left cheek, a subtle reminder of past struggles.

Despite his modest appearance, there's an air of calm strength in the way he holds himself, with a posture that speaks to his focus and dedication.

It appeared as though he was engaged in a training session. But what confused him was that this boy was calling him Big brother. Did Xue Taiyang has any junior brother in this sect?

"Xu Yang, don't interfere in fight between us" Wei Xiyan said.

Xu Yang? Isn't it the individual who owns this residence and provides me with a space to recuperate from my injuries? Why is he calling me Big brother?

He activated "Identify" to see this young boy's Status Window.

"Do you want to leave from here or want to be beaten to a pulp? The choice is yours" Xu Yang said looking at them fiercely.

"Y-you!"

"Let's go. We'll show that bastard who's boss one day" Wei Xiyan muttered before turning to leave.

Before leaving, Lu Nian fixed a menacing glare on Reon, making it seem as though he could kill with his eyes. Shrugging in response, Reon couldn't help but feel a sense of relief.

"Now, Could you tell me who are you and why did you provide me place in your residence?" Reon asked Xu yang.

"Ah! Sorry For late introduction, Xu Yang greets Big Brother Xue" Xu Yang said respectively bowing his head.

"And how exactly did I become your Big Brother?" Reon asked, raising an eyebrow.

Xu Yang smiled faintly and began to explain. "Big Brother Xue may not recall the incident, but two months ago, I stumbled upon two Uncommon-Grade Three Leaf Jade Blue Flowers by sheer luck. As I was making my way back, I was ambushed by those three bastards intent on stealing them."

"Still, I felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude for your help and resolved to address you as Big Brother from that day forward."

Here, I was wondering why would Xue Taiyang help someone, so this was the case.

Besides, since the flower's effects only work once for the same person, I had no further use for it," Xu Yang said, his voice filled with genuine gratitude. "Had Big Brother Xue not intervened, those attackers would have taken both flowers——and worse, they might have beaten or even killed me in the process."

"And Big Brother Xue was the sole individual, following my Big Sister, to have provided assistance after my arrival at this sect within a span of six months." Xu Yang added as his eyes were sparkling.

"Alright, You can call me whatever you deem appropriate." Reon said looking at his sparkling eyes.

"Thank you, Big Brother Xue." Xu Yang said, expressing his gratitude to Reon.

He was taken aback by the innocence of this young boy, who was gratefully thanking a scoundrel like Xue Taiyang for a minor favor done purely out of self-interest.

"And who is your Big Sister?" Reon asked curiously.

"Her name is Xu Liang, the direct disciple of Great Elder Li Qin and one of the true disciples of the Supreme Dao Sect" Xu Yang said proudly.
