A will to protect

The moment Samuel close the door to the underground exit, Clara immediately started running with baby Karin in her hands. When she finally got out of the exit, she continue running, so as to get away from Ventrace town, but before she could run far from there, she was immediately confronted by the members left at the southern gate to scout the place for anyone trying to escape.

During the fight, alpha Ramus, Kelvin and Desmond was distracted by their member when they heard a voice in their head. With anger they all shouted at their members who has distracted them from their fight.

'What is it?, you should better have a good reason for disturbing me' said alpha Ramus, Kelvin and Desmond at the same time.

'Alpha, the Luna of the frost moon pack is currently trying to escape with her newly born child' said all of them to their various alpha using mind link.

'Make sure to capture her and kill the baby, but if she poses any threat, kill her also' said Kelvin and Ramus respectively to their pack member while in the mist of fighting Samuel.

'Kill the child and bring the woman alive' said Desmond to his pack member.

They all replied in unison before turning to face Clara and her baby.

"Let's capture the woman first before killing the baby" said one of them to the others.

On hearing this and seeing that she has no way to run as the road has already been blocked by her enemies, she quickly drop Karin gently close to a tree before turning to face the guards who were getting closer to her. She immediately transformed into her wolf and quickly rush at them before they could transform, she quickly clawed at the neck of the first person she came across, killing him instantly before he could transform. She turned to face another who was about to transform, slitting his throat with her sharp claw.

Seeing the way she quickly took care of their two men, the rest of them started taking things more seriously, although all of them present were just Omega wolf which didn't poses much of a threat to the luna, but their numbers was not something to be joke with.

The reason for leaving just some Omega wolf to Scout the area for anyone trying to escape was mainly because they won't contribute much to the main fight, it's better to be left were they would be more useful.

The fight keep on going with four more people dead, making it just three people left. Clara was now becoming slower in her movement, the injuries she has sustained from the fight was wearing her out, the once agile wolf was now becoming sluggish in her attack. Even though she was more powerful than her enemies, her enemies still has an advantage in number.

Knowing that the life of her child and hers was in danger, she didn't let the injuries affect her that much in the fight, she bear the pain as she continue fighting and holding her ground.

The moment she saw one of them rushing out to attack, she quickly dodge to one side, but before she could do anything, another one was already close to her. Knowing full well that she wouldn't be able to dodge it, she ready herself for the pain she was about to feel.

As the wolf rush at her, attacking her to the ground, she quickly dug her claws to the wolf neck before he could bite at her, she remove her claws from his neck, only to dug it inside once again, repeating the process over again, so as to kill him. As she was about to stand up from the ground, she saw a large canines heading her way, about to bite at her neck, just some few inches away, she tilt her head to the right, causing him to miss her neck by some few inches.

Seeing that he miss his intended target, he quickly released his mouth that was deeply inside her flesh and was about to bite down on her neck, but before he could , he was immediately slammed to the ground. Clara didn't waste anytime before biting down on his neck. The moment she bit at his neck, she felt an immense pain around her neck, the last wolf has quickly used the opportunity of her being distracted by the other wolf to attack her.

Luckily for her, the bite didn't get too deep as to kill her immediately. She didn't waste time in turning around to claw the wolf who has clearly bitten her, she rushed at him after clawing his face off her neck. She didn't waste her time in killing him, before transforming back to her human form.

With a heavy step, she walked back to baby Karin who was crying intensively all through the fight, she picked him up and walked back to the tunnel, so as to get a change of clothes, because the former has been torn when she transformed into her wolf form. After changing to a new set of clothes, she immediately walking out of Ventrace town with the little strength she has left in her body, her vision was becoming blurry by every minutes, blood was flowing from her neck without stop.

Her regenerating ability was clearly slow become of the wound on her neck, the wound on the neck tend not to heal quickly like the other wounds. After walking for some hours, she finally has gotten out of Ventrace town, she kept on walking to make sure they won't be able to trace her and Karin anytime soon.

Just as she finally made it to Hindi town, a town far away from Ventrace town, she felt an immense pain in her soul, a pain more painful than anything she has ever felt before, she felt as if a part of her mind and soul was taken away from her.
