60. Private Meeting & Lukagami 2

"Adrien, what is it?" Marinette asked her boyfriend, very concerned as soon as they and Master Fu sat down.

"Yes, Adrien. What is troubling you?" Master Fu asked, just as concerned as Marinette.

"It's just I started thinking about how Nathalie's been getting sick lately with the coughing and dizzying spells. It all makes sense now that the Peacock Miraculous has been making her sick, being damaged and all. But then, I started to remember. The last time I saw my mother and before...whatever happened to her, she was sick the exact same way Nathalie is now. You all getting where I'm going with this?" Adrien confessed his concern and after a moment, Marinette, Master Fu, and the two kwamis began to understand.

"That must mean your mom was a holder of the Peacock Miraculous!" Marinette said as she realized it and Adrien nodded.

"That must also mean your mother's mysterious illness must be the result of the damaged Miraculous," Master Fu then said as he realized it.

"Exactly. Master, do you know if there's some way we can reverse the damaged Miraculous' effects and save my mother? So, my father wouldn't have to continue these horrific actions in order to get our Miraculouses to save her," Adrien asked with sad eyes towards the old guardian.

"I might have to consult further into the Grimoire about that or ask the head guardians at the temple. But, Adrien, you do know that I cannot promise any miracles. If there's nothing we guardians can do, then…" Master Fu began to say, sorry for the poor boy.

"I know. I was blindly hoping that there might be another way, so that we wouldn't have to battle my father anymore and we can all move on," Adrien said, looking down in sadness with Marinette holding and rubbing his hand in comfort.

"I understand, Adrien. But, we will figure this out," Tikki said to her fellow kwami's holder in comfort as she cuddled up to his cheek in comfort.

"Well, I am getting tired. You know, being old and all," Master Fu said with a chuckle in which the two heroes and their kwamis chuckled back. "Good night, you two."

"Good night, Master!" Marinette said, then turned to Adrien, who is still sad. "There's more, Adrien. Please tell me."

"I just can't help thinking that if Nathalie is being a supervillainess with the Peacock Miraculous, I'm wondering if my mother was too," Adrien said, beginning to tear up. "I don't think I can take this anymore if that turns out to be true. I just can't."

"Adrien, you cannot think that way!" Marinette said as she began to hug him in comfort. "From what you told me, your mother was the sweetest, warmest, and most gentle person you know. That doesn't exactly spell villainess."

"Marinette's right, Adrien. Each Miraculous isn't solely used for exclusively good or evil purposes. It can be used for both purposes. It all depends on how the holders use them," Tikki pointed out.

"Sugarcube's right, kid. I never told you about this, but a couple of my previous holders have gone bad and used my Miraculous for evil purposes, therefore started my trust issues with my next holders. So, the point is that it isn't the power of the Miraculous that determines good or evil, but it's how the holders choose to use those powers. I'm sure your mother wasn't a villainess. There's no way!" Plagg said as he cuddled up to Adrien's cheek in comfort.

"Thanks, you guys," Adrien said to his girlfriend and their kwamis with a soft smile. The couple then proceed to kiss each other. What they didn't know was that they were being watched by a certain fencer and a certain musician.

"Poor Adrien," Luka said as he and Kagami overheard the heroes' discussion. "I cannot imagine being in his shoes with all this."

"Yes. It is a good thing that Marinette is comforting him through this difficult time. Certainly better than I ever could," Kagami said, looking down in sadness as she remembered her previous feelings for Adrien.

"I'm not so sure about that. I think you can be more sensitive and vulnerable than you or anyone else can see at first glance," Luka said as he took a good look at the Japanese girl.

"Really? No one has told me that. Not even Adrien. Most of them just assume that I am some sort of Ice Queen," Kagami said as she lightly chuckled at the nickname Marinette used to give her.

"I have a feeling that you were strictly conditioned to act all composed and stoic around everyone else, but you genuinely want more in your personality so you won't have to feel lonely," Luka said as he psychoanalyzed the girl.

"That...is the most accurate depiction of me anyone has ever analyzed," Kagami said with a smile towards the blue-haired musician. "You are good at this."

"Thanks. I'd like to think so," Luka said with a smile that made the Japanese girl almost swoon. The two then leaned forward and their lips almost touched until…

"Hey, you two!" Adrien said as he and Marinette approached the two. "How's it going?"

"Oh, it's going fine. Thank you for asking, Adrien," Kagami said as she broke apart from Luka and quickly tried to compose herself.

"Yeah, I think it's going really fine," Plagg said, starting to tease the two about their almost-kiss until he got his mouth covered by his fellow kwami.

"Sorry, you two. We will get out of your hair," Tikki said as the kwamis and their holders began to head to their bedrooms.

"Um, do you guys mind keeping this discreet for now?" Luka asked the heroes and their kwamis, with Kagami nodding in agreement.

"Sure, you two. Take your time," Marinette answered on all their behalf as she sported a sly grin towards her boyfriend who gave the same facial expression back. "Well, good night, you two!"

"Good night," Both Luka and Kagami said at the same time while blushing furiously. The two heroes and kwamis grinned again and they all headed to their respective bedrooms.
