"Yeah," Alex said after clearing his throat. "Sorry about yesterday. I was a bit rude."

"Oh no, don't apologize! I was the one that approached you out of nowhere. I completely understand why you reacted the way you did. Were those two children with you yours?"

"Yes. Ethan is Claire's cousin and we adopted him but Emma is our biological child." After all this time it was still easier to stick with the lie that Ethan was related to her because they looked alike.

"How wonderful!" Andrea replied warmly. "Can you tell me more about yourselves? What do you do? How did you meet? How long have you been married?"
