Claire did her best to assist Alex to his feet, barely managing to stay upright herself. This guy was seriously heavy! But as he lost his footing for the second time, he accidentally pulled her down on top of him and they bonked heads.
"Ow!" she cried. "Is your skull made of rock or what?"
"Sorry. Are you okay?" he asked in concern.
"I'll be fine." Claire rubbed her forehead and backed away. His face had been way too close to hers and it was weirding her out. "I can get up on my own. Why don't you scoot your way to the wall and use that to get up?"
"Okay."
They both managed to get to their feet and she wondered what they should do now. Alex obviously wasn't going to get the hang of this anytime soon and she wanted to zoom around. There was a part of the track that was shaped more like a traditional ice rink…he could work his way around the wall for a while and she could go faster with the flow of traffic.
