Chapter 16 : Sparring with the Servant isn't Right

Getting home Damien told his mother the news of him staying at the palace till the prince birthday which was the third day so she didn't expect him to be back until the celebration was over but Damien didn't forget to leave her enough supplies and money to fend for herself he also reminded her to use her medications before he left for the palace.

Getting to the palace he saw the preparations where already on course walking into Alexander's room he saw he was already awake and was getting dressed

"good morning what are you doing?" Damien said looking at Alex with a wondering gaze

"good morning to you too because i am up right ha" Alex said

"ok wrong question, what is going on with you now?" Damien asked

"well today is the day that i have to choose a maid of honor and i have to choose Penelope i mean talk about taking the devils bride to your birthday party" Alex said sighing

"well don't choose her" Damien said as he walked closer to him

"what you do realize by choosing her i get three wishes right " he asked Damien

"yeah wishes that you don't get to use for yourself you pick Penelope you get the wishes but there wouldn't be your wishes they would be Princess Natasha Angela and my wishes so what is the point in picking her if you don't get the benefits?"

"you are right but i still don't want to anger my father " he said as he stood up

"well just give him an excuse like you don't want your free will to be taken away from you by a vixen witch" Damien said following Alex as they both headed for the training arena

"well you don't know my father when he gives you an offer like that he expects you to take it and if you don't take his offer he is going to fraustrate you in three different ways" Alex said as they walking into the arena noticing that there was no one there.

"fine pick the witch queen and face your doom" Damien said picking up a sword

"hey lets spar i could teach you a few things" Alex suggested as he picked his sword

"what no i am not a swords man "Damien said dropping the sword

"well it is just a spar come on you could learn how to handle a sword and besides you now know how to use magic you know spells and besides lets see how you handle nine strong spells that you can now cast" Alex said handing him a sword

"well i will like to learn how to use a sword but i don't have nine spells remember i could only cast you and Angela's spells so that is six" Damien said holding the sword

"come on you just spar with me " Alex said frowning

"fine" Damien said as he swung the sword towards Alex but he was slow as Alex was able to dodge as heswung his sword hitting Damien's sword out of his hands

"pathetic attempt why do people always go for suprise attacks it has grown old " Alex said pointing his sword at Damien before giving Damien a chance to pick up his sword. Using the wind Damien controlled the sword as he caught it before boosting his speed with both wind and earth as he was able to move the ground changing his position and pushing himself with wind he got to Alex before swinging his sword. The unexpected action caused Alex to fall back as Damien sword struck him causing him to suffer a cut on his left elbow.

"wow you are good to good this is going to be fun" Alex said smiling as he rolled his sword before casting a fire elemental spell on it as he ran towards Damien .

shocked at how seriously Alex was taking the spar Damien blocked the attack of Alex with his sword resting on his shoulders he turned it round and struck Alex making the two sword clash as they both engulfed themselves in the dual turning Alex cast his strengthening spell before striking Damien who dodged it and used the water spell to distract him as he struck Alex, recovering from the blow of Damien Alex created a big blue ball from his sword before turning it round his head and throwing both his sword and the ball towards Damien this put Damien in a trance for a few seconds before the sword completely froze as it was on the verge of hitting Damien.

"what do you think you are doing?" they heard a voice say from behind them

"are you trying to kill your servant?" the voice said again as they turned back to see Queen Anastasia (also known as the frost queen:she was known for her incredible control over the natural element of water and her extreme ice power known to be able to freeze the whole of Avalon) followed by Natasha,Angela and her maid

"we were just sparring i wasn't going to kill him" Alex retorted

"really cause it looked like that's what you were trying to do" Natasha said frowning

"he wasn't Your Majesty we were just sparing "Damien said raising his head

"and you agreed to spar with someone who is ten times stronger than you how dumb is that" she asked

"Well yes i agreed" he replied looking at Alex

"fine that wasn't the reason i came here anyway. The maidens have each arrived it is time for you to pick which one is going to be your honoured maiden so go to your room and changecand clean his blood of you" she said as she headed out leaving onl Alex and Damien

"clean my blood of you" Damien said looking at Alex with a grin on his face

"hey that's my mother don't even go there " Alex said as they both dropped their swords making Damien raise his hands in retreat

As they both headed back to his room.
