CHAPTER 37 : Leo

"This doesn't make sense". Nikolai muttered looking into the distance. This was the first he'd spoken since I came into his bedroom.

"I know it doesn't but I love her Nikoloi and you know I don't say those words easily unless I mean it.. And I mean it.

Nikolai jerks his head towards me. "Love?" He scoffs. "Jesus Leo. I love my sister enough to know she deserves better. Up until last week you hated her."

"I never hated her." I state. I may have done questionable things to her that I wish I could take back but I never hated her.

"Yeah right. For years you've been telling me of how she ruined the relationship between you guys  because you figured out she liked you and you said" I have to pull away from her because she'll think I like her back." and don't say you didn't because I remember it like it was yesterday.

It was true. The reason I acted like a dick to her was to show her I didn't like her back but it never worked because over the years she still liked me and then grew to love me.

That was 7 years ago.

I was 17 at the time and Aurora was 15. I figured out she liked me at a family picnic when she looked at me a lot longer than a person with no romantic feelings would.

"That was a long time ago Nikolai things change."

"Yeah, maybe, but not you."

"I guess you don't know me as well as you think you do."

Nikolai scoffs and shakes his head. "How long do you think it will be  until you miss your weekly hook ups and going out?"

I look at him and say nothing. "My guess. A month."

"I love her Nikolai, I know I have been an asshole in the past but I want to spend the rest of my life with her and our baby. I would never leave them and I would never cheat on her."

He's looking the other way but I can practically feel his eyes roll. "-And I'm sorry for hurting you, that wasn't my intention I swear."

When he doesn't look at me I start to panic. What if being with Aurora means that I have to lose Nikolai.

"Nikolai your my brother. We've known each other since we were children, you know everything there is to know about me, so you must know that I love her. I would never do anything to hurt her. I would stand in front of a flying bullet if it meant protecting her and my child. I will never hurt them and that's a promise."

He turns his head." If you ever hurt my sister I will kill you and that's a promise." He smiles and pulls me in for a hug.

"You 100% mean that don't you?" I laugh. "Yeah, you know I don't break my promises." He replies when we break the hug.

"So how long has this being going on?" I tell him everything that happened, to how it started with me moving in, the Game, the jeoulosy and everything else up until this moment.

"I knew you didn't actually like Sandra."

"You were drunk out of your mind you don't know anything." I shake my head.

"I was sober enough to know you didn't actually want to hook up with her. So you just brought her here to make Aurora jeolous?"

"Yeah". I smirk thinking back to that night, the way her body tensed when she saw Sandra walking through the door and the way she lectured me on how I was bringing my 'sex life' into her home.

"Well was she jeoulos?"

"Yeah she was but don't tell her I said that she'll only deny it."

"Deny what?" Aurora asks entering the room.

"Nothing".Nikolai said looking at me. I wink at him as Aurora sits next me. I snake my arm around her waist and hold her tight. She puts her her hand on my shoulder for support.

"Have you two made up?" She asked hopeful. "No we haven't and we never will." Nik replied. Aurora looks at me with sad eyes. "I'm so sorry Nikolai, we never meant to hurt you. Please what can I do to make you forgive me?"

Nik smilies. "I'm joking Aurora. It's water under the bridge."

I smirk. "Jesus Nik I almost believed you there aswell."

Aurors laughs. "You assholes."She said pushing me playfully. She gets up from the bed and hugs Nikolai.

"I'm sorry Nik, I love you so much."

"I love you too." Nik replies. "Now let's go downstairs because I'm starving from all that."

"We'll be right down."I say as he leaves the room."OK!" He shouts walking down the stairs.

Aurora laughs. "That went a lot better than I thought it would." I kiss her. "I love you. " She smiles looking up at me when we pull away. "I love you more." I kiss her on the forehead and pull her in for a hug.

"Am I interrupting?" I look towards the door and it's mom. "No your not". Aurors says. "I'll see you down there." She looks at me.

"Hi Chiara." Aurora says hugging her. "Hi sweetheart, You look gorgeous." Mom says looking at her and then down at her bump. She smiles and then looks at me. She looks back to Aurora and hugs her. When they pull away Aurora smiles at me and leaves to go downstairs.

"Oh sweetheart."Mom says walking over and pulling me in for a hug. "I'm so happy for you both. I'm going to be a grandmother."

"Thanks mom."I reply both of us sitting on the bed. "Your father would be so proud of you Leo. This is what he alway wanted, for you to settle down with the one you love.

"I really do love her mom."

"I know, I can see It. The way you look at each other was exactly the way me and your father used to look at each other."

"I wish he was here to see it."

Father will never get to meet his grandchild, watch me marry Aurora and get to see me run the mafia.

"Me too sweetheart, I would do anything to see him again." Mom explains tearing up. I hug her tight as she cries in my arms.

A while later....

It's been a few hours since the truth came out and its better than I thought it would be. When me and mom went downstairs once she was feeling better we all had lunch.

Ace gave me a warning to never hurt Aurora or he would kill me the same as Nikolai but that was expected of Ace. He was once ruthless and will kill anyone who hurts his family. Although afterwards he shook my hand and welcomed me to the family for real. Victoria told me to take care of Aurora or she would kill me with her bare hands. She was very happy for us though.

At this moment in time Aurora and I are getting ready for bed. "Today went well don't you think." I asked getting into bed.

"Yeah it went great actually, but I should've just told them the truth form the start." Aurora replied next to me.

"You don't need to think about that now. It's all out in the open." I assure her.

"Yeah I suppose, they could've been a lot more angry." She says biting the inside of her cheek.

"Yeah, they could've, although I got alot of threats. If I ever hurt you theyll kill me." I smirk.

"Well I guess you can never hurt me then." She smiles. "Yeah too bad." I laugh leaning over her and kissing her.
