Chapter 9

An eerie wind blows inside a spacious room, making the candles flicker. Adorned with gold carvings, white painted walls and different high quality jade house ornaments, the room is surely very bright but calming, the thing is, the people inside aren't.

The lady in plain white in the center of the room taps her fingers rhythmically, obviously in deep thoughts. The candles illuminated her frowning beautiful face softly, making every man's heart aches, well, not for the men in front of her though.

They all knew that disturbing their young miss in her 'alone time', as she once said, is a big no no. The last time someone had the guts, they were thrown straight away in the Heavenly Tower.

Nahhhh.... If someone uninformed will have same punishment, maybe they will think that the punishment is maybe very light. Otherwise, who else will name a tower heavenly if the punishment is not?

Well, the logic does not applies for their young miss. If someone will ask them that same question, without any doubts and reservation, they will unisonly reply,

Heavenly Tower does not stand for it's name. Inside, you will be thrown in a fire forest, a very vast fire forest. When it is called fire forest, it's not because the ground is on fire or maybe the temperature is hot, no, it is called that way because the trees are literally on fire! Not only that though, the swamps, the rivers, the beasts, they are all covered with fire. Those who experienced the punishment have only one comment,

' Better be a barren land than a forest at all!'

The very first who experienced that hell thought that they would be fortunate because, at least it's a forest, they can gather resources, but after they came back, they were all literally crying about how cruel their miss is.

' Who would want to eat a fire fruits, drink in a fire river and sleeps in a fire tree and ground?'

Those who were punished were literally restless inside the tower.

The mechanic of the tower is that, you will only have one entrance, which will vanish after you are transported in, and your mission will then be to find the exit.

And if your not unlucky enough and choose a wrong way, you will be redirected in the sea of ice. It is a vast semi - iced sea in which you have to cross. It is full of ice storms, big ice blocks, sometimes if your luck really ran out, you'll be washed to square one by iced tsunami, and iced waterhole.

The eight in front of her can't help but shiver at the same thoughts that crossed their minds.

They can't deny the rise of their cultivation after entering though, so until now, they're still undecided whether they want to be punished or not, more likely not.

The young lady in front closed her eyes to calm herself. First, her very precious 'me time' is being robed and second, her subordinates are gravely injured just because a clan arrogantly wants to make a name for itself by cruelly defeating a division of the Sangre Pavilion.

The fools are so proud of their works without even questioning themselves why the hell are they so easy to defeat?

Di Xueyan can't help but to clench her teeth,

' Because stupid fucking idiots, the division you just raided are for our newly recruited trainees!', she can't help but fume whenever she remembers how heavily injured those poor children are.
