Thirteen's voice resonated through the mask, accompanied by the image of a stag-like demon on the screens and another on the ground, making both the Cyphers and the Terrorist's blood run cold at the sight.

Together, they resembled demons emerging straight from the forest, poised to snatch the lives of the Genesis soldiers and Cyphers.

With that single threat, the screens shifted once more, now void of the beast that had previously dominated them.

Jin glanced up at the now vacant screens.

"Great entrance, Thirteen," Jin murmured softly, raising his knife in the air and holding it in a reverse grip in front of his face.

The Cyphers exchanged glances but remained silent as if they were unable to speak in the first place.

'Poor bastards,' Jin thought, feeling pity as he gazed at the Cyphers, though he was prepared to end their lives regardless.

"Open f—" the red-haired leader next to Jin began, her hand raised in the air, signalling the troops she was leading to open fire. However, another hand rose, dismissing them.

"Don't do anything stupid. I can handle them. You guys get in the way," Jin said, shrugging his shoulders as he slowly walked forward, his eyes fixed directly on the Cyphers.

Jin felt something on the top of his head—a wet sensation on his black hair: rain.

As it gently poured, trickling down from the sky, the rain created a rhythmic sound as it fell onto the bloody asphalt.

Another sound became clear: a train in the sky, loudly soaring without a care about the chaos unfolding in the tenth district. After all, why would anyone even care about this place?

The train was headed to another district, indifferent to the bloodshed and terror unfolding in the tenth.

Jin peeled off the black glove he always wore on his hand, allowing the rain to gently trace his scarred skin. Despite the scars, Jin found solace in the cold sensation of the rain caressing his hand.

He took a deep breath and exhaled.

*huff*

And just like that, he aimed his electric handgun at the Cyphers before him. His first target was the weakest among them, smaller in stature than the others.

Pulling the trigger of the gun, an electric bullet streaked straight at the weakling. With precise control over the currents, Jin summoned a devastating explosion of lightning.

In the air, it acted as the perfect conductor as the rain continued to gently fall, frying the weakling in a single moment before he could even return fire at Jin.

"Three of them done, three more to go," Jin counted, taking another deep breath and holding it in.

*Huff*

His calf muscles tensed as he almost leapt forward, rushing at the remaining three while the others could only watch Jin.

The first to act was the B-tier, his speed lacking compared to Jin's, but still fast enough to react. His blade whirled through the air toward Jin's neck, attempting to sever it.

The speed of his blade in the air was fast enough to sever the falling rain droplets into two as well, yet Jin could still evade it, albeit barely.

In response, his knife flew at the leg of the B-rank, who barely stepped away in time before Jin's knife could pierce it.

"They have to make it difficult. Just go and rest now, poor bastards," Jin cursed to himself, electricity coursing through his limbs, granting him speed faster than anyone present.

But before he could charge up enough to reach his full speed, a hammer almost crashed his skull open as one of the strength types flung his hammer at him.

Jin could barely evade this attack as well, only to have to dodge another hammer coming towards him from the other direction.

"Nothing can go easy, fuck," Jin cursed to himself, firing off another electric bullet from his gun, then another.

Two distinct shots flew at the strength types.

Feeling the electricity from afar, even in the bullet, Jin began to reach towards it, amplifying it into another terrible electric explosion—two of them this time.

One for each strength type.

They were sent hurtling backwards, crashing to the ground, their hammers falling alongside them. However, they could not be killed with only this.

As if they could not, or barely could feel pain, they rose from the ground. Their pristine white masks suffered a bit, but still held tight onto their faces as they exchanged glances with each other, then turned their gazes back to Jin.

This time, the blade of the almost indestructible katana came flying at Jin, with the B-rated Cypher being the first to act, while the strength types picked up their weapons from the ground.

Jin raised his knife to block the strike, knowing he could not evade this time.

As the blade of the katana reached the knife, it broke the moment they touched it. Jin could feel the strength of the strike in his hand, almost numbing it.

Jumping back a bit, he emptied the remaining rounds from his electric gun, creating numerous electric explosions that damaged all three of the Cyphers.

The roaring sound of the train finally faded as it left them alone. The rain began to pour down even harder on the ground, washing away the blood that surrounded the street.

Dead bodies littered the ground.

*Huff*

Jin exhaled once more as he gazed at the ground. Seeing the B-rank get up, he shook his head in a mixture of disappointment and grief.

"I'm sorry," thought Jin, full of grief as he saw the B-rated Cypher swing at him with his blade once more, this time noticeably slower.

Evading the slow strike without a sweat, he punched out, his fist clad in electricity, shattering the jaw of the B-rated Cypher as he fell back to the ground, his katana dropping from his hand.

Not even a single sound left the Cypher as he fell to the ground, he just fell back, blood gushing out of his mouth, Jin could see the Cypher's face, it was the same as the one he killed before the C rank, his face was incomplete.

Jin continued to gaze at them through his stag mask, the eerie visage giving him the appearance of a monster.

Even after all of that, they still tried to get back up and kill Jin, their struggle evident as they pushed forward.

"I'm sorry, but it's going to be better this way," murmured Jin, his voice barely audible as he picked up the katana from the ground. With one swift strike, he killed the B-rank once and for all, his head rolling on the ground.

The blood gushing out of him was washed away by the rain that continued to pour down on them.

Walking up to the other two who still struggled to get back up, Jin raised the katana. This time, he stabbed both of them through the brain, one by one.

Granting them a swift death, was the only mercy Jin could offer.

Looking back at the terrorists and their leader, they stared at Jin in shock and terror.

Then, Jin slowly opened his mouth, the mask altering his voice.

"Wanna talk at your base?"
