Chapter 1

Looking out towards a world of ruin, a lone prince seats on a barren rock, playing a piano, a scene quite out of place with the desolation around him. His eyes are dull, like storm clouds, they don't move at all as the an explosion rings in the distance.

He didn't even move when a whistle, the sound of something fast falling became louder and louder until it was on top of him.

He didn't anyway, but someone did. A flash of purple zips pass and pushes him away, the piano burning into crisp, the sound of wood cackling vivid.

"How could you throw away your life like this?" A knight, one decorated with purple trinkets, gems and with a staff that is patterned with what seem like a star, their white cloak bellowing behind them from the swift movement.

"Leave me alone," the prince grumbles and shoves them away, looking at the burning piano like watching a loved one burn away." You should leave while you can," he adds.

The knight looks at him in disbelief and clutches the staff tightly.

"You are loved by so many people," the knight didn't and wouldn't leave him, dragging him by the arm if he needed to, in comparison however the knight was quite smaller than the prince," they gave their lives away for you! You can't just die here!" They exclaims.

The prince looks up at the crimson red sky.

"Maybe it would be better if I did," he mutters. The knight huffs, eyes shimmering a little, from the lost family, friends and comrades or just the prince's despair, they would assume it was just both.

Tired, they shift the prince to lean against a rock before trying to check him for any spell placed on him.

nothing...

That is strange, this was something only their magic can do-

As soon as they think of them, said attackers appears above them, shrouded in smoke, they look like shadows that came to life.

The knight immediately went into a defensive position. The prince pries his eyes away from the flames towards the knight, he tries to stand but his legs give out and he flop back onto the ground

"Little knight, why don't you surrender the little prince and we'll let you live," a distorted voice calls.

"Sphere!" The knight exclaims, aiming for the big one, their staff shoots off a purple sphere of magic, exploding in the middle of the air.

"Your blind loyalty is commendable but foolish," a sharp blade of green swings by and scratches the knight on the arm, so quick that they weren't able to avoid it.

"What does the prince have that you'd give your pitiful life for?" It asks.

The knight says nothing and swings their staff again, this time a barrage of purple spheres exploding in the air. They can't even tell if it's doing damage or not but they were relentless.

"Orca!" A purple whale of magic emits from their staff and hits the smoke with a low hum, a purple cloud engulfing the red. Unlike the barrage earlier, this orca is huge, glowing like a sun of it's own.

It seems that it finally did some damage as the red in the sky clears, to be replaced by a purple hue. The prince looks up at the knight in awe, cape finally blowing on it's own again, wind enters once more, as if thanking the knight for finally releasing them.

This knight is an ordinary knight, the kingdom's purple colours are the sign of a common soldier which is rather ironic to him. Where were all the nobles now? This lone knight is standing here, against the very things that engulf the world into darkness and red.

The sky rumbles anew, red gathering on a certain point, more vivid, less smokey and more sinister.

"Why..." the prince looks up with tears in his eyes." Why are you doing this?" He asks.

The knight didn't reply either, suddenly their outfit changes, the sleeves under their armor were released, extending with golden borders swishing across it, on the cape, a golden flower blooms, their staff expanding twice the size with golden aura surrounding it.

It stands against the red light that suddenly sparks and shoots towards the lone prince and knight. The already scarred ground around them was crumbling again, only the ones under the knight and prince were protected by the staff, which glowed purple and gold.

As soon as the light clears, their cap breaks off and wraps around the untouched prince. He can only sit there, stunned as the knight's boots kick off, a pair of golden wings sprout and flies the knight towards their target.

──────────────────────

Four pairs of red eyes look behind them in shock, the knight, glowing gold and white, has their staff slammed into the very core of their formation, a shield, breaks under the pressure.

"Son of a-"

"King!" The sky explodes into a darker shade of purple a pair of wing shaped clouds bursts and dissipates into the sky. Purple sparkles fall from the sky like snow, one in particular, flies towards the prince's boots.

The prince places a haggard hand onto the ground to push himself up as he holds the cape that is slowly crumbling like sand. He looks up at the sky, now purple, looking for any sign of life.

He run towards a river, reflecting the purple sky, not caring that his already crumpled outfit was soaked up to his stomach and he almost tripped over a rock, he hold his hands out as a body drops, making a giant splash.

Despite being tired, he carries the body out and placing it onto the ground, he tests out his powers by drawing a circle on the ground.

Another world awaits him.
