Die Meisterin The Champion

Thankfully, I managed to escape Maribelle. I brought along the blanket she gave me and a few golds to catch a carriage. But sooner or later, guards will start looking for me, so I have to start being quick. I started asking strangers for directions on where I could get a ride.

"Excuse me! Do you know where I could get a ride?"

I was asking this tall man. He had a cat-like face with sharp and edgy lines, narrowed eyes, and a sharp, pointed nose! If this were Korea, he would be the man of my dreams. He was intimidating like he was in a gang.

But his personality wasn't as I expected it to be.

"Oh! Of course, you want a ride? I'll be honoured to give you one!"

"Ah, thank you? How much will it be?"

"Free!"

"Excuse me, I didn't hear-"

"Free!"

Yeah, he is misleading everyone with his looks.

I was going to hop onto his carriage, but he opened the door and raised a hand.

"It would be rude if I let a pretty woman like you get a splinter! This carriage is made out of common wood, so it's easier to get splinters! Oh! Oh! Use this pillow so that it won't be uncomfortable. If you need, tell me when you need to stop for anything!"

He's overdoing it.

"By the way, where are you heading?"

"Destiny's Touch, can you take me there?"

The kind man's shoulders began to tense, but his kindness never once diminished.

"Of course! I'm heading there too, you know!"

When I entered the carriage, I used the pillow to comfort me for the duration of the ride while the kind man started to guide his horses to our destination.

"I never asked your name. It's Anton. How about you?" I could see from the backseat that Anton's smile never went away.

But I still need to trust this guy.

"I'm So-Jin."

He starts laughing and then replies, "So-Jin, eh? What a unique name. Where are you from? Korea?"

"Ah, yes, I am.."

"You don't look Korean, though, are you half?"

Ah, I forgot Liselotte is entirely German! I should say I am."

"Yes, yes, half.." I replied, giving a doubtful tone to my sentence.

"Ah, that makes sense!" He starts laughing comfortingly, and I laugh with him.

"What brings you to destiny's touch?" He asks, still laughing

"Just someone I want to meet!" I replied back

"And who would that be?" Anton asks politely.

"Uh... nobody special, really!" I replied, but I didn't think that was believable enough to him.

Soon, the carriage stops, and I look at the shop. People are lined up just to get their fortunes told. This store is legit and probably good at giving predictions.

"Ah, I should mention my business here then. I work at Destiny's Touch, Eichenburg's best fortune-telling shop, and am their number one client. Die Meisterin is the name I work under, M'lady, or should I say Lady Liselotte Von Halhestein?"
