Changes

I got out of bed and put on my mask, I then headed to the training fields.

"I'm here."

one of the cloaked figures approached me,

"This is your new instructor, Tim, he will teach you how to cast magic without using a staff, the magic that you can do without a staff is limited but very useful,"

I stood there not speaking a word,

"You are probably aware of spell circles which is what generates the Vicilium dust that you use to cast the spells but what you probably don't know is the fact that human saliva triggers the same reaction that a staff does, if you use Vicilium dust in a spell circle it would normally make the spell stronger, doubly so if the spell you're using the dust in is the same spell that the dust was generated from but Vicilium dust can also be used in spell circles to use spells that normally can't be used such as a spell that lets you summon objects to you and a spell that lets you levitate objects which can be used to move things out of the way or for levitating Vicilium dust and creating spells in the air, that is all for your training, go back to your tent and practice the spell circles which are drawn on these pieces of papers." he then handed me the paper, I then went back to my tent and created a spell using Vicilium dust and to my surprise it actually worked, maybe this could be useful somehow. I decided to go for a walk to clear my head, I walked through the forest for a bit until I noticed my ring glow, she's not here already is she? I hid behind a tree, I can't let her find me already. "Liv! where are you? I know you're here!"

I lifted my hood to hide my mask and then used a spell to hide my voice.

"Leave this place at once or else!"

"no! I'm looking for my girlfriend!"

"if your girlfriend was here then she will be dead already!"

"stop lying I have a ring which glows whenever she's nearby so I know she's near"

"We don't take trespassers lightly so believe me, she is dead. Now leave before you suffer the same fate"

"oh hell no, I'm going find her no matter if she's alive or dead!"

"Fine, you will suffer the same fate then"

I cast a fireball spell at her to try get her to leave but she dodged it, I shot more fireballs at her some she dodged others she hit back so I had to dodge and others that she extinguished,

"you're so persistent!"

"behind you."

I looked behind me and she had summoned a giant tsunami, I quickly created a spell circle and summoned a quadruple powered up ice wall which froze the tsunami instantly.

"Leave."

Amanda quickly ran away knowing that she won't win this fight and I headed back to the village with a wound that I received when she launched an icicle at me, the same spell that nearly killed her."

I lied in bed unable to move, all I could think about was Liv and the fact that she had gone and left me, it took all of my energy to even leave my bed. I walked over to the closet and got changed into my school uniform and then I went to feed floofy and snowball. after feeding the foxes I walked to school, my hair in a complete mess and the rest of me looking like a zombie since I've had no sleep since yesterday, I walked towards class with no enjoyment for the lesson or excitement fot what we're going to do, I just couldn't let myself take my mind off of Liv, is she ok? I just hope that if she is ok she hasn't done something stupid and died, if she's dead the. I'll never forgive myself for letting her go, I won't let myself forgive myself for that ever anyway. I walked into class, it's quieter than usual.

"Amanda have you seen Oliver or Olivia?"

"No sir,"

I lied, I knew that if they found out that Liv killed Oliver then Liv would be in serious trouble and I didn't want that for her.

"well in that case school administration would like to announce that both Olivia and Oliver are both presumed dead"

I felt a sudden urge to vomit, Liv dead? no, that can't be possible, they're supposed to do extensive research before they are presumed dead so they must be wrong, Liv isn't dead, right? I raised my hand.

"sir I don't feel well please may I be dismissed?"

"that's fine Amanda after all we know how much Olivia meant to you,"

I rushed out of the classroom and then out of the school to the forest where this all started, I ran through the trees desperately searching, where is she? I continued searching for a while until finally my ring started glowing, Liv! she must be close! "Liv! where are you? I know you're here!"

"Leave this place at once!"

I turned towards a cloaked figure.

"no! I'm looking for my girlfriend!"

"if your girlfriend was here then she would be dead already!"

"stop lying I have a ring that glows whenever she is nearby so I know when she's nearby!"

I was starting to get angry,

"oh hell no, I'm going to find her dead or alive!"

"Fine then, you will suffer the same fate."

The figure shot a fireball at me which I dodged, it then shot more which I either shot back at it or dodged, I then shot an icicle at it, the same spell that Liv almost killed me with which gravely wounded the figure, I then created a spell circle to summon a giant tsunami.

"you're so persistent!"

I let out a smirk

"behind you."

The tsunami came crashing down rushing at the figure but just before it could hit the figure, the figure summoned a giant ice wall which froze the target but I wasn't focused on that as I had just glimpsed something, a fox mask. It was Liv, she's still alive but I wasn't going to be able to convince her to come back so I feigned cowardice and ran convincing her that she had won.
