As dusk fell, casting long shadows across the mansion's ornate interior, Elena emerged from her room. The hours she'd spent hacking had been fruitful, revealing layers of corruption and deceit within the Harrington family. She descended the grand staircase, her mind processing the new information with cold precision.
The dining room was empty, save for the house staff who had prepared her meal. A faint aroma of roasted chicken and vegetables filled the air. Elena's sharp gaze swept the room, noting the nervous glances of the maids and servants. They had learned quickly not to cross her.
Seated at the head of the table, she began to eat, savoring each bite. She was replenishing her strength, preparing for the battles ahead. Between bites, her mind wandered back to the data she had uncovered.
