A New Beginning - Chapter 1

I slowly opened my eyes and quickly found myself in an unfamiliar house. For some reason, all the furniture appear to be big and enlarged.

"REX!!!!!!!!!!!! I'M COMING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!~" A sweet and gentle voice somehow bellowed.

Rex? Who is this Rex? And where the hell am I?

A tall figure entered the room. It was a girl. She had long luscious brown hair, pale skin, with small blue eyes. She was also petite in size. If she were to be in a room with other women, she would definitely stand out.

Wow! I thought. Wow. God must be really giving me a second chance in this life, I will not waste this opportunity! Upon trying to walk, I somehow found it difficult to even stand up. And doing so, I realized that it wasn't the furniture and the figure that was tall, it was me that was small. I was reduced to an infant. Me, Samuel Hops, the leader of the Heroes' Party, was reduced to such a state!

"Rexy!!! Come give mommy a kiss!!!"

MOMMY!??!?! This beautiful woman was my MOTHER? Forget everything I said about God giving me a second chance! At this moment, I was contemplating to be an atheist!

She walked towards me and picked me up, slowly patting my head and cradling me.

Well, I guess it wasn't so bad. Her cradling actually felt really warm.

After just 5 minutes of her just cradling me, something weird happened. A weird screen appeared right in front of my eyes.

Start the what now? System? What the heck is that? I pointed to the system with my small baby hands, making baby noises.

"Rexy? What's wrong? Are you feeling sleepy? It's okay, I'll bring you to your cradle!"

My mother promptly carried me and walked towards a room. My room. It was fairly empty to say. The room pretty much just contained my cradle. She placed me in my cradle and soothed me with again more head pats, kissed me on the cheek, and wished me for a good nap.

Now to tackle the thing that has been boggling me. The weird screen. Seeing as to how my mother reacted, she definitely could not see the screen.

Well, what bad could pressing yes do, am I right? I then stretched out my hands towards "Yes".
