Vengeance of The Broken Lycan Prince [BL]

[MATURE CONTENT] "Kiss or Kill?" "Karma." ***** Broken by a pack that was supposed to be home, Tamiko swore to never attend any mating ceremonies. He knew they would eventually reject him, so he didn't want to risk the heartbreak even more. However, a lonely best friend in need of a mate and a bunch of convincing later, Tamiko found himself at the entrance of the mating ceremony. As if that wasn't enough, the midnight moon gave him what he didn't want the most. A mate. But not just any mate. Gabe; the alpha's dark son, a man who made it his mission to make Tamiko's life harder, and also the man Tamiko hated more than life itself. As their eyes glowed in the night, Tamiko didn't see a mate, he saw a very rare opportunity; a chance to run, or be the one that Gabe ran from. He chose the latter. Like a gift from the moon, he realized the one thing that could burn down the Grealor pack. He bore the mark of lycan royalty, more precisely, King Zaffuto's mark. The outcast, Tamiko, was the lost lycan prince.

[KAWAI]

The Lycan Kingdom was changing and everything was so sudden that even the Lycan started asking questions about what was going on. Ever since the new Lycan had come home, the King had changed.

It was something that got people wondering who the kid was, because frankly, they had never seen Lord Sadako as happy as he was right now. The Lycan Lord was always smiling, even when they weren't on a hunt.

However, right now, he was happier than ever and it was suspicious as hell.

Granted, some people talked of how infectious happiness was, but then they had tried to be happy over the years but none of them had seen King Zaffuto openly smile let alone laugh.

And yet in the past few days, the King had shown up thrice. That was a lot of time really, given that in almost thirty lonely years none of them had ever seen the King, ever. It was all so crazy.

"Everything should be medium size. Everything except the bed, and make sure that all of this fits in that room," Lord Sadako interested the Lycans he was working with at the moment.

They were currently redecorating the largest room in the palace, the only room larger than the King's chambers. Naturally that room could fit seven King sized beds and still leave space for an extra regular bed.

The room decor was perfect. It was a blend of silver and dark, a blend of white and red. There were so many aspects of the room that made no sense for the Lycans working there. However, on thing was certain. It was a room for a male.

Of course, at first they had thought that the room was for the Lycan King, but then the Lycan King himself hadn't said a word about the decoration, beside, if the King wanted the room, it would have been decorated in half a day.

However, the room the Lycans were voting on had taken them a while.

"Make sure everything is in place, and not even a speck of dust should be found in there," Lord Sadako instructed excitedly as he supervised the redecoration. This was more than even he had imagined but then it was the best for the best.

The whispers were growing but then Lord Sadako hadn't bothered explaining like he would always address rumors most of the time, no. He let them talk, and he let them speculate. He was too busy being happy.

"Alright, I'll go have my meeting with Zaffuto. Make sure nothing is missing. We wouldn't want to ruin the beautiful decoration!" Lord Sadako instructed excitedly as he looked around one more time.

When he walked out that door, the Lycan Lord couldn't help but be happier that this was happening. The entire palace had been redecorated. Most of them were done with magic, but there were personal touches to them.

Everything was perfect and as he passed a few of the Lycans, he heard them speculate that the King would be taking a new wife. It wasn't against the customs, but with King Zaffuto, even a smile was something that had to be speculated.

It was crazy seeing how things had relaxed but then what else could they do other than anticipate.

"Good morning you," Lord Sadako greeted the Lycans from the balcony as they greeted back, returning his happy smiles. The Lycans were not being overworked even though the palace was busier than ever.

Happy with everything that was happening, Sadako headed to his brother's chambers, the Lycan king who had been watching everything from the window in his room.

For years, he had watched the kingdom lifelessly, as he hoped that someday, he would get his son back.

For years, he had been a broken father and husband. He had been unable to distinguish what was good or bad. He had lost everything and yet he was trying to hold on for his son, a child he was hoping was alive.

For years, Zaffuto had hoped to see his son again.

Today, as he stood by the window, he wasn't a sad King who was still regretting the murderer of his queen and his people's queen of hearts, no. Today, he was watching with a smile on his face.

He was thinking about a certain little boy who had made him smile more times than anyone had ever done. He was thinking about the kid with so many scars yet the kid who was so brave and unnatural.

The kid was new to the Lycan customs but at the same time he was so familiar with everything.

King Zaffuto was thinking of his beautiful son, his baby and the one child he would protect with his life. He would always love him and he would love him like he had promised his wife.

"There you are," Lord Sadako said to the King. It wasn't new to him that his brother was standing by the window, but unlike the dark aura that always lingered around Zaffuto, today Sadako could see the change.

Lord Sadako could see that the curtains were drawn and the sun rays were lighting up the room. He could see how clean the Lycan King's room was and how everything was in place.

"Did you clean this place up?" Sadako asked, given he hadn't heard from any of the Lycans that the king had demanded they clean his room. No one other than Lord Sadako had entered this room in the past twenty-five years. No one.

So, seeing his brother standing there, all cleaned up like he was expecting something, was new to Lord Sadako.

Even the last time Zaffuto had come to meet Tamiko, he hadn't cleaned up, but he had cast a cleansing spell on himself to make his stench go away. Tamiko was the first person to make the King make some effort and it was worth noting really.

"Yeah. I had to. I would hate for my boy to come find me a dirty sleazebag for a father. I want him to have the most normal of relationships with me and his mate. I wish him nothing but happiness and love.

"Oh Sadako, my son is alive. Our Hinata is alive. Our Kaito survived everything and gods be damned, I wouldn't let anyone hurt him. I want to know so much about his life but I'm scared I might push him away.

"I promised Lili that I would be a good father. But goodness, the distance is killing me. I have been thinking of what he likes and what he doesn't… Whether he ate or not. Whether he is happy out there in the world or if someone hurt him.

"I want him to have everything, even if it's the entire Kawai he wants. If he doesn't want the throne, I wouldn't force it on him. I am happy as long as my Kaito is alive, Sadako. I hope someday he makes it back home…

"I don't mind being whatever he wants me to be. Whatever choice he makes I'll respect it. I just want to see him happy and running around. I can't believe I missed my son's first walk, first words, first everything.

"I wonder if the people that took him in treated him well. He looked like a warrior. I wasn't too worried about the scars, but Sadako. He really is alive. Our baby is alive. I can't wait to see him again!" King Zaffuto rambled on excitedly.
