Chapter 15

"Hey you free tonight" Ajax said the moment he stopped by my house.

"I mean yeah, mum's busy , God knows where lya ran off to" i shrugged.

"Great I'll pick you up by 8, wear something... casual" he said.

"Like I'd wear a dress to hang out with you" he snorted .

"You would one day " he said tapping my shoulders.

I opened the door and walked straight to my door , i unlocked it and walked in.

I threw my bag at the far end of the sitting room and plopped on the couch.

I took out my phone from my back pocket and scrolled through Instagram liking posts and all. I checked all my social media platforms for any information and got none. I logged out and headed to bed for a nap.

7:30pm

I woke up and checked the time.

"Why do i feel like time is mocking me" i groaned getting up from bed. I had my shower put on a denim jean and a black Hermes shirt. I grabbed my grey drew hoodie and my keys and strode out to my front porch.

I sat on the steps waiting for Ajax to come around, at 8 no minutes added none subtracted he walked up to my steps.

"Eager are we "he said smiling.

"You wish" i snorted.

"Let's go" he asked .

I got up putting on my hoodie due to the weather getting chilly.

"so were are we going" i asked the moment we started walking

"no where special or expensive" he shrugged.

"Okay" i said liking the idea.

we walked in silence using his fingers to drum to the beat of the song playing from one of the house's close by.

We got there in less than 10 minutes , we got in and he tipped the valet .

"You call this not expensive" i scoffed.

"It's not really expensive" he shrugged pulling my hand towards the entrance .

"Mr Vaughn" the waiter at the door greeted.

"Mike" Ajax said in return.

"Your table is this way sir" the waiter said leading us towards a table faraway from the crowd.

"Thank you" Ajax said before sliding into his booth. I slid into the one opposite him.

"Take your time to glance through the menu, ill be back in 10 minutes" he said before leaving.

"How do you even know this place" i asked looking round.

"My dad sort of owns it" he shrugged.

"Cool, and why dont you want to take over this sick place" i asked in confusion.

"This, is not what he wants me to take over" he sighed.

"He wants me to handle his company in Dubai"

"You could go i mean Dubai is a nice place" i suggested

"And leave you no way"he scoffed.

"What is that even meant to mean" i said.

"I mean-" he shrugged scrolling through the menu.

"Time's up sir, what would you like " Mike said as he appeared beside Ajax with a notepad.

"I'd like the schnitzel please" he said

Mike wrote that down before turning towards me

"And you madam" he said.

"I'd have the same" i said unsure of how it'll taste.

"Your order will be served in 5 minutes" he said before leaving.

"Ailin" Ajax said in a serious tone. This cant be good.

"Yeah" i asked.

"Could i tell you something" he said.

"Sure" i said reassuringly.

"I-uhm-never mind" he said wiping his hands with the table cloth.

"You sure"i asked cautiously.

"Yeah-im-ill be right back im going to the lavatory" he said before leaving.

That was ..... weird
