Chapter 70: Meeting on the Courts
“Steven didn’t object to staying for dinner. You guys don’t have to worry about being dressed formally. The clothes that you came in are good enough,” Raylene commented with a friendly smile as she studied Gwyneth’s face. She wanted to guess the girl’s true feelings about the idea of dinner at the palace.
“Well, we always plan things way in advance. A person needs to be well prepared. Especially for a royal dinner,” Gwyneth responded with a chuckle.
“My mother would never forgive me if she heard that I went to a royal dinner without wearing a special outfit. Anyway, one needs to be psychologically prepared for any dinner. That’s how we do things back home,” she added without looking at Raylene because she did not want to be persuaded to do anything that was not in her comfort zone.
“Oh, so you people are a close-knit society? You all follow the same principles?” Raylene asked with a bright smile.
“You could say that, more or less,” Gwyneth responded.
