Chapter 42: Raven's Night of Attack
“How weird. People are strange. They profess their love, but don’t really care a bit,” Raven murmured to himself while he checked for signs of the scar where Salicia had unexpectedly bitten him at a party held by her aunt.
Raven had not been aware of the fact that it was a vampire party and when Salicia had asked him to come to the study he had gone only to find out what the problem was.
Instead of talking and giving her reason for calling him, Salicia had asked for a dance to some slow music. He was still confused when she had led him into the dance herself.
“What a strange and uncomfortable place to dance. Did you really call me here just to dance? How much have you had to drink tonight?” he had asked.
“Not nearly enough,” Salicia had responded and with that she sank her teeth into his neck suddenly.
It had tickled at first, then the burning sting had taken over just before all went black in front of him.
