27. Conflicted Roommate Feelings

You stormed upstairs once again, quickly shutting the door behind you before you bumped your back against the oaken, wooden door. You slid yourself down against it before you embraced your knees together—still feeling hot from the sudden scene that somehow spurred hidden feelings within you.

You ran your fingers through your hair furiously before you slammed it against your warm cheeks. You kept reminding yourself that you already have a hot boyfriend in order to stop such silly feelings from flourishing towards your roommate. It was silly, really, to feel such things to the one you've admittedly hated since you first met him.

"He's nothing but a PERVERT, a RUDE, a MESSY, a...hot, honest, charmin—arghhh!!"

You buried your head in your arms to stop yourself from spouting such nonsense. You quickly hoisted yourself up to splash some cold water against your burning face.

Swish—Splash—!

You sighed in relief, feeling the droplets of water run down your chin before you wiped it off with a nearby towel. In the midst of that, your thoughts were nothing short of your purple haired roommate. You hated how his face would keep appearing in your mind every so often, how his jokes and that look would rile up butterflies in your core all over again. You puckered your lips forward with a blatant stare at your blurry reflection—due to the running water down your lashes.

You wiped off the remnants of water droplets before you exhaled loudly and placed the towel back. You reminded yourself of how much you hated him, though it was hard. It wasn't a difficult feat to hate a guy like him, considering all that he has done to you since the beginning. Yet, in the midst of that, you still somehow found something you liked about him that your peanut brain couldn't understand, especially why your heart had to tease you like this and act so differently than before.

Yet, you knew you truly needed a distraction right now, at least something to keep your mind sane again—not wanting to act like an obvious flustered freak around him especially. You immediately fished out your phone, scrolled to find your boyfriend's contact to call him. Almost immediately he answered.

"Hey," his sexy voice called out. "Ready to come?"

"...hey, could you pick me up?" You requested softly.

"Heh, I'd love to ya know, but not when your roommate is around," he replied.

"...oh, I...understand," you responded softly. "...can't you just come at my front door to pick me up? You don't have to see him...I just wanna see you really bad."

"Awe, really, baby-doll?" He asked with a light chuckle. "Can't resist now, can I?"

"...so you coming?"

"Of course," he breathed. "I'll be there in ten minutes."

"Okay, good," you sighed in relief. "See ya."

He immediately hung up, while you took in another deep breath, knowing that you truly needed to face the facts. You already have a boyfriend and this ridiculous feeling with your roommate needs to go out of the window.

"Where are you going?"

You looked back waywardly at your roommate who stood at the edge of the hollow hallway, arms encased within his own grey sweater. You simply gave a blatant look, forcing yourself not to let your heart take dominance this time.

"...I'm just having a movie night with my boyfriend," you replied nonchalantly with a light shrug, concealing the whole sleepover business to a minimum.

"...oh, I see," he murmured softly with furrowed brows, violet gleaming eyes flickering at the corner with a tinge of uncertainty amidst of the dark surroundings.

"Well, see ya—"

"Wait," he cut you off, before he began to make slow steps towards your form. He halted one step in front of you, slightly towering above you as he kept his violet gaze fixated onto you. "...don't you want to watch with me instead?"

"H-Ha?" You snarled before forcing a laugh, looking away to conceal the urge for your cheeks to warm up. "...get your own girlfriend to watch with, right now I'm going to where I've planning with my boyfriend."

You began to stroll off, almost reaching for the handle before he grabbed ahold of your wrist, causing you to swivel your head to the right to catch his violet pair of eyes ones again.

"...you're not gonna watch it with him alone...are you?"

"H-Ha? Why the sudden interest...? That's none of your business anyways, now let me go, please."

"No," he replied solemnly with his deep voice. "Until you answer my question."

"Tch, fine... and no, we're also watching with his siblings..."

He sighed in relief. "Good..."

"HAH?! What do you mean good?" You snapped back with a furrowed glance.

"Cause' if you stay alone with him..." His lips twisted to a subtle smirk before he stepped forward, eyes glazing down at you before he began to lift your hair, softly pressing it against his nose and down his lips. "...he might smell how stinky you are considering how you haven't bathe for a week now."

"W-WHAA—?!" You immediately lurched back, away from letting him touch your hair, cheeks dotted with red at his unexpected, smooth gesture. You pointed at him accusedly before you parted your lips to speak, "YOU'RE the reason I can't bathe!! You sometimes come in without permission!!"

"Tch, lame excuse," he muttered with a confident shrug."You know I don't do that anymore, sweetheart."

You bit your lip so hard it could nearly bleed, you gulped and looked at him waywardly. You took a deep breath and out before you parted your lips to speak,"...stop calling me that, or else I'll assume you see me that way."

"Ha? Absolutely not," he retorted in a defending tone with a furrowed glare, eyes shifting awkwardly to the side with efforts to conceal a light shade of red. "I see you nothing more than an idiotic roommate."
