"Can you tell me more about them?"

"Yes! Originally the book 'The Inner Teachings of Green Magic' was a taboo to read, still is to most. I haven't read the book before but have met people that have and they talked about it. Some stated how it should all be burned while others say it revolutionizes Green Magic. The Coalition is the former while the Order Of Goldendawn is the latter. The Order sees this book as heretical while the Coalition would love to add it to their library."

"Neasa." Lovo said sturnly. "I know you are excited, but let's keep the topic to one thing at a time."

She blushed from embarrassment.

"You're right teacher. Sorry. Back to topic. Keep in mind I haven't read them, but have been told the general study. Master Kolos teachings, she dived into the entirety of Green Magic. It's not just about nature like some claim. Green Magic is about life cycle. Life and death. Master Ashlyn discovery was much different. She found her through trial and error in combat. Most Green Mages who become adventurers are healers with White Mages and deal with binding enemies with nature or summoning forest creatures. But what she learned flipped it on its head. Some speculated that her and Master Kolo worked together, because Master Ashlyn learned to use nature to bring the dead back to life. Well more she was known for having plants manipulate dead bodies into fighting. These type of undead were stronger then others since the vines were used like muscles. She had other ways to fight, but that's all I was told about the book."

"So what Master Ashlyn discovered was all magic is connected? Green and Black magic is what she discovered? What types of magics are there?"

"Yes! Her theory is all magic is connected some how. I don't know much details regarding it, but with this book, and all these others, I can learn! There are lots types of magic. Red for Fire, Green for Nature, White or Holy, Black for Dark and Blue for Water. Each has their own sub schools of magic. A Red/Green mage might study metal magic and a Red/Blue mage could study mist or lightning magic."

Lovo thought for a moment. He was digesting the information he was told.

"What type of magic goes well with Black magic?"

"For you? I would suggest staying away from White magic. I don't think Vampires can learn it anyway. Just from my own knowledge I'd suggest Black/Green Magic, but you can make your own choice."

"Can you give me a brief description of the schools of magic?"

"Sure, but hasn't Lord Karik, your master, told you any of this?"

Lovo chuckled and blushed slightly.

"Of course not. Lord Karik believes in self study and trial and error. He believes only way to truly learn is to experiment yourself. Even though I have these books to help I should try magic on my own."

"Oh. Interesting. I've never met a teacher that taught like that, but if this is his library then you have nothing to worry about.

I will keep the explanation of each school short. Red magic is about Fire; controlling the chaos of the flame and using it to burn their enemies. Blue magic is about Water; it's flow. Contorting enemies and using water to bind them or even help with traversing the ocean. Green magic is Nature. Using it to naturally heal someone with flowers and nature or summoning forest creatures to fight for you. White magic is Holy or Light magic. Many inquisitors study White/Red magic. Using it to cleanse the unholy with fire. White magic also is used to strengthen allies and protects them from harm. It is the other healing magic school besides Green Magic. Black magic is a taboo magic. It's the dark or evil magic. Necromancy and curses and even blood magic."

"Huh. Interesting. Well I'll let you read. I'm going to check out another selection and then head outside. Sun should be setting by now."

"Thank you Lord Lovo! I'll study as much as I can!"

Lovo walked through each book shelf and took account of all 8 books shelves. 5 of the shelves were for each school of magic, 1 book shelf was for enchanting and soul binding, another was about the Planes of Existences and how to get to them and the final bookshelf talked about the many Gods and Goddesses of this world along side the Demon Kings and their counsel.

'I should pick a school of magic that would be abnormal. Maybe White magic? Would help prove I'm not a normal Vampire if mortals see me using White magic.'

Making his way to the shelf of White magic books, he grabbed one and cracked it open.

"Hey I can read this!"

He could read it but he couldn't understand it's contents. It was like a high school student reading a college students class notes. They could understands bits and pieces but the middle contents didn't make any sense.

He put the book away and started to read the titles of some.

'Holy magic of the God Picus'

'Healing magic for the Champions of Just'

'Shining Light of White magic'

'Protection of White'

These book titles didn't make sense to him but 'Shining Light of White Magic' spoke to him. He grabbed it and opened it. He flipped through pages and read that the book was a guide to how White magic is made with mana.

"This seems to be what I need."

As he began to truly read it a screen popped up in his view.

[ Spend 5 attribute points to learn basics of White Magic: Y/N ]

'Oh. That's easy. Seems like this system is a cheat for learning new magic schools? Yes I'll learn it.'

As soon as he accepted he felt like his brain was under attack. It was almost like the words from the book were forcibly shoved into his head.

He fell to his knees in pain. Sweat started to build on his forehead. Thankfully Neasa was in her book and never noticed.

The pain went on for nearly half an hour. He gritted his teeth the entire time. He felt like his head was about to burst right before the pain ended.

Lovo felt extremely weak after. He was slowly loosing himself to his instincts to feed, but he kept himself under control.

He stumbled his way to Neasa and nearly collapsed on the ground. She took her nose out of her book to see what fell. She almost had a heart attack seeing Lovo in such a state. For being a Vampire he was already pale, but now. He just looked sick.

She rushed to his side.

"By the Gods. What happened to you?!"

She got under him to put his arm around her and lift him up.

Lovo only chuckled to himself.

"My apologies. I just extremely hungry."

She slightly panicked. She almost forgot he needed to feed on blood.

With a sheepish look she said

"Are you going to take mine?"

Lovo only smiled.

"No I don't. Help me get out side Toma should have some."
