Lovo walked to the group with a smile and extending his hand.
"It's a pleasure to meet you all. I'm lord Lovo!"
No one reacted. Grunga was barely holding himself up. He knew he was dying and wasn't sure if the Druids could help. He was even more unsure of this Vampire.
"What do you want" Sheva said while holding her weapon pointed to Lovo. He didn't mind.
"I was originally here to talk to the Druids but saw these Orcs attacking. Figured I could step in and show my good faith."
"Hhmph! Good faith?!" Kelagar said with a grunt.
"How can a Vampire like you show any good faith?"
Lovo just pointed to the sky.
"The sun is out and I'm out. Even in a weakened state I came here to only talk." He started to show his teeth as Julki even took a readied position to attack.
"If I really wanted to kill you all I would have either came at night or just watched the Orcs kill you. What else could I do to prove I mean you no harm."
The group got a chill down their spines as he spoke that last part. They all knew even in sun light he could have easily killed them. Or even simple watched they be killed.
Lovo put away his weapon and had Julki stand down.
"I'm only here to talk to the Druids and for that one." Lovo said while pointed at Yevn.
Sheva moved her shield to be between Lovo and Yevn.
"Why do you want my teammate?"
She had a feeling why, but wasn't sure.
Using his thumb to point at Prydier he spoke.
"I brought that one back as an undead for one reason. To get revenge on the one that killed him and to say goodbye to his daughter. Then he's free."
Grunga fell to the ground.
"Brother!" Gorgo said trying to catch his brother.
"Are you okay?"
"No. This poison is going to kill me."
Yevn stopped himself from laughing. As much as he wanted to he didn't want to Lovo to have him.
Sitting on the ground Grunga spoke.
"What is it that you want with the Druids? My brother and I are tasked with protecting them. We won't let you hurt them."
He grunted while using his club to try to stand up before falling back to the ground it's a thud.
"Oh no no no. I truly mean them no harm" Lovo said while shaking his head. "I saved some Forest Goblins from a pack of beasts and they are living in my land now. I plan to go on an expedition soon and want other people living there with the Forest Goblins. I was going to ask the Druids to live there as well."
Everyone was shocked. Why was a Vampire wanting mortals to live with him? What kind of expedition was he going on and for how long?
"Since you saved our lives I can allow you to speak with the Druids" Grunga said. "Although I can not force them to make any choices."
"That's fine with me" Lovo replied. He then turned to look at Sheva. "So may I have that man?"
Still with her shield up Sheva began to waiver slightly.
"Even though you saved us I cannot hand him over. He is a companion of ours. Wether I like it or not." He said angrily while glancing at Yevn.
Lovo clicked his tongue and shook his head.
"I apologize but I'm not letting that man go. I'm here to get revenge for Prydier here. We have two options. You can hand him over and I can give something in return or I can kill you and take him. What will it be?"
Sheva and Kelagar glanced at each other and then at the Ogres. The Ogres didn't even look at them. They were enemies just moments ago. They wouldn't help them.
She moved her shield down.
"Fine. I'm not throwing my life away for this idiot. You can have him."
Kelagar wasn't happy about it either, but he had the same mindset as her. Yevn got them into this mess. He should be the one to fix it.
Even before Yevn could interject Prydier phased through Sheva, she slightly shivered, and attacked Yevn. His claw hands dug into each shoulder and was pinned to the ground.
"AGGHHHHH! NOOO! Someone! Help-"
Prydier fell into his pure undead instincts. As he had his target pinned to the ground he bite his neck and ripped out his throat. He only had moments to live.
Lovo quickly moved passed Sheva and Kelagar as Prydier floated back by the Druid portal. Crouching down Lovo got near Yevn.
"I really hate offering this to you, but I need to ask. You are about to die. We both know it."
Yevn was slowly drowning in his own blood. He looked at Lovo with desperation in his eyes. He couldn't think straight, but guessed Lovo would ask to reanimated his body after he's gone.
"I made a deal with Prydier and I plan to keep it. Once he sees his daughter again I'm releasing him. I'm going to offer a different deal. You don't seem like you want to die, but you are. Do you willingly allow me to bind your soul to your body. I'm not sure if you'll end up a Wraith like him but you'll have your sentience to a degree. Do you want that?"
Yevn eyes couldn't get wider! Bind his soul?! Could this vampire do that? The spilt second he had left Yevn felt like years went by. His mind rushed passed all his memories. All the death and betrayal. Was he regretting what he did? Absolutely not. He relished in it all. Even knowing he was going to the Abyss to be tortured forever he still did those evil acts. This was a chance to escape that reality. With the last bit of life he had left he nodded his head.
Thankfully Lovo gained 2 levels from that short fight. He had plenty of mana to bind his soul.
Everyone watched as Yevn soul slowly left his body before Lovo used his red magic to pull the soul back into the body. Unfortunately he didn't have enough slots to Raise Undead, but once Prydier left he could.
Lovo also quickly checked and found out he was right. Once he reached level 5 he saw his Raise Undead skill was not 5/7. Looks like every five levels this skill increases by half his level rounded up.
Sheva and Kelagar didn't dare look at Yevn. They ignores his screams and allowed him to be killed. They would have to figure out what to do about this later when talking to the Guild Master.
Shortly after Gorgo opened the portal. The only one to step out was Master Fontana. He almost puked from the sight of the Orcs. He was shocked. Who could have done such a thing?! When his eyes fill to Lovo and the Undead he understood. Although, when he looked at the Wraith he instantly realized who that was.
"Prydier?! Is that you?!" He approached the Wraith. He wasn't angry. He was more shocked and filled with sorrow. One of his closest friends was dead.
Prydier almost seemed embarrassed but floated towards his friend. He wasn't able to talk, but Master Fontana understand his feelings.
Lovo cleared his throat.
"I see you knew Prydier in his life. I'm sorry for your loss."
Master Fontana looked at Lovo with pure confusion. A vampire in the day light apologizing over his friends death. He wasn't like other vampires that's for sure.
"Who are you?"
"I am Lord Lovo. I was on my way here to talk to some Druids, assuming that's you. I saved some goblins and they are living in my care. I was coming here to offer the same. I saw what happened to Prydier and offered him a deal. He would become one of my undead and help me fight those Orcs. Once that's done he would say goodbye to you and his daughter and I would set him free."
Master Fontana was even more shocked!
"You would free such a powerful summon?"
Master Fontana knew how deadly Wraiths were. Even if you had magic and magical weapons Wraiths were dangerous. He heard stories of necromancers that would fight over weapons and armor for Wraiths. They were sought after prizes.
"Well of course? I'm not monster."
A second later Lovo laughed at that.
"Okay. Well I will get Neasa." He said to Lovo.
"Prepare youself old friend." This time speaking to Prydier.
He stuck his head through the portal and called for Nease. He told Balor and Ethinu to wait a moment. He will speak with them privately.
As he stepped back a girl with short dark hair, caramel color skin, leather chest armor around her simple clothes and a green cloak around her shoulders. Lovo was stunned by her look and those beautiful green eyes.
Similarly to Master Fontana she was disgusted by the Orcs, but that quickly changed when she say the Wraith.
"DAD?!"
