"We are being sieged? Has Julki or any of my skeletons attacked them yet?"

"He has not. They haven't attacked yet. They are demanding to meet the lord of the castle."

Lovo smiled hearing this. He rose from his throne and started to make his way to the battlements. Before he left he turned to see everyone following him.

"Xetal, you Sheva and Kelagar are not allowed to interfere. This concern's my people. I will not ask you to fight."

"You can hire us though" Kelagar said with a chuckle.

"Haha. No thank you. If my castle can't handle the fight then we shouldn't live here. We can't rely on others to make our strength."

He turned to face Neasa.

"You and myself are going to be the ones to handle this fight."

"Just us?"

"Yes. I hope you've been studying magic."

A hesitant yes squeezed it's way out of her.

"If you want to go adventuring with me you'll need to learn to fight foes stronger then yourself. Through hardship you can grow."

Neasa steeled herself and prepared.

The small group went to the battlements and stood over the entire Orc tribe. It was 80 strong. The woman and children were in the back as the warriors and chieftain stood at the front of them all.

"I am the Great Chieftain Agis! Where is the leader of this fortress?! Show yourself coward! I am here for revenge and to claim this fortress as my own!"

"You aren't taking anything asshole!" Lovo said.

"I am Lord Lovo. Ruler of New Dawn Castle! What is the meaning of this! Coming to my land and declaring war?!"

"So you are the one leading these stupid goblins. A worthless human! No wonder my son died. I bet he took out a lot of you before he died too! Haha"

Lovo was extremely confused. When did he fight? Oh yeah! He remembered now. That group of Orcs tried to ambush the adventurers and Druids a while ago. When Prydier was a Wraith, he and Julki slaughtered them all. It was very uneventful so he forgot about it.

"Oh! Was your son part of that hunting party?! They tried to kill the Druids and Adventurers that were fighting. I came in and saved them. I'm sorry about your son. What can we do to resolve this?"

He knew there was no amount of talk to avoid this. He was more trying to make himself look like the victim. If the Orcs were in the wrong in the eyes of Xetal then that means he can punish them how he sees fit.

Lovo act doesn't want to harm all the Orcs. If he can convince them to willingly join him he would love it. The only issue was the Chieftain. He was clearly angry and not willing to see reason.

"So you're the one that killed my son?! I challenge you to a duel! You vs me!"

A devilish smile appeared on his face.

"Let's make it a show! You pick two others to fight and I'll pick two to fight them. Then for the final match we can duel."

The Orc Chieftain scoffed at him.

"No! That is a dumb idea! All it takes is your head and this battle is finished!"

Hopefully the idea Lovo has would work. He's only using his knowledge of how fantasy worlds worked from his world.

"Aren't you a warrior Chieftain? Don't you want to prove your people are stronger then mine?"

The Chieftain just growled back at him.

"I, Chieftain Agis, am the strongest one here! Fight me yourself you coward!"

He then brandished both of his axes. Each of them were made of metal and had a gem in the center of the blade. One was bright red and the other was crystal white.

'Seems like he won't bite. I was hoping to get Neasa and Julki trained. Or at least I want to see them fight. Ah well.'

"No I don't think so."

Lovo then pointed a finger at.

"I hope you can handle the horrors of the grave." He said just loud enough for the Chieftain Agis to hear.

Before he could react a small fissure erupted from the ground. It shook the entire castle and the Orc children fell on the ground.

Everyone's eyes were on the fissure.

Chieftain Agis look at it with fear slowly gripping his heart. He had no idea why, but he felt his death was coming.

The first thing to come out of the fissure was a small little ethereal hand. It was a small human child. They climbed their way up and stood at the precipice of the fissure looking at the chieftain.

"Why? Why did you kill me?" The small ethereal child spoke. His voice sounded distant but filled with sadness

"Why did you kill me? I begged for my life."

Shortly after another figure appeared. It was an older woman who was just as ethereal as the boy.

"You killed us both. As we begged." Her voice sounded like an echo, but could still hear all her emotions.

"We both begged and you still killed us!"

Not understanding what's going on Chieftain Agis activated a skill, Berserker Focus. A skill that nullifies fear and other mind altering skills to allow him to focus on battle.

What surprised him the most was that the ethereal beings weren't an illusion. They were there. The only plus side was he no longer felt the fear of death. Though he did sense Death on the horizon.

"Ah fuck this!" He screamed. He activated another skill, Berserkers Rage. A weird skill. The less he understands something in combat the more damage he will do.

He activated his axes and ran towards the ethereal beings. The axe with the red gem burst into flames around the blade while the white one coated the blade in jagged ice and caused the air around him to turn much colder.

"Begone foul creatures!" Chieftain Agis charged the two and swung a blade cutting each of them in half.

They made no sound as they were cut down.

"Is that all you got coward!"

Chieftain Agis was calling Lord Lovo out.

"What a pathetic fucking spe-"

He stopped talking when he felt something grip his leg. Finally looking down into the fissure all he saw was endless bright blue eyes looking at him.

"Wah?!"

Looking down at the hand that grabbed him it was a distorted face of the child he just slain. Now it's face was warped between the human face and the skull beneath.

"I begged for my life" the child ghost wailed out.

"You killed us even though we were unarmed"

This time it was an old man missing an arm climbing out of the fissure.

"How could you! We did no harm to you!"

More and more ethereal spirits poured out of the fissure.

Chieftain Agis did his best to pull himself back while hacking and slashing at the spirits.

"Get off me you bastards!"

Chieftain Agis managed to pull himself out of the grasp of the dozens of ethereal spirits clawing after him.

He turned to his tribe and called out for help.

"Help me you bastards!!"

Durvo and Shobi and some other Orc warriors were about to enter the battle, but Egis held out a hand stopping them.

"No. This is his fight."

"What are you doing! Help me!"

"This is your fight old man! You're not a coward to ask for help are you?!"

Chieftain Agis gritted his teeth. He had no idea why he panicked and asked for help. Was it the spirits or was it something else? Who cares he thought. He fought on slashing at any spirit that made its way to him.

Slowly more and more spirits poured out of the fissure. It was almost an endless ocean of the spirits encircling Chieftain Agis. Even the rest of the Orc tribe took steps back almost hiding in the tree line from this battle.

Chieftain Agis did his best to keep the spirits off of him. Every time they got close to him they would scratch him. It wasn't enough to hurt a lot, but death by a thousand cuts worried him.

The first wave of spirits were mainly children, elderly people and even a young soldier or two. He was able to fend them off with ease.

After a few minutes if fending off the spirits they suddenly backed away.

Chieftain Agis was in bad shape. If Lovo had to guess he was at half or little more then half health. He had scratch wounds all over his body and most had little blood pouring out.

From the fissure everyone started to hear a beating of a drum. The spirits started to clear a path from Chieftain Agis to the fissure itself.

5 spirits appeared. Each of them a different race; human, elf, dwarf, gnome and Sauran. The human had a sword and shied, the gnome had what looked to be bombs, the elf with a bow, dwarf with a great axe and the Sauran with a shield and huge mace.
