chapter one

(Ive been writing this on Google docs so this is just what I've written so far and I will post more chapters on my other novels later.) As I would open the door to my apartment I would close the door behind me. Stepping into my kitchen I would put an instant noodle cup in the microwave."Three minutes, I could probably get a movie in three minutes." I would say walking to my living room, sitting down on the couch, and picking up the remote. Cutting on the TV I would start to flick through the channels when I would come across a movie that had vampires in it. 'I don't know why people hate being vampires, you literally get to be immortal and super powers' I would think to myself as I would hear a voice but not clearly "I would want to be a vampire." Would come out of my mouth before I pass out, opening my eyes I would find myself in a cave. Getting up off the floor I would look around to find the exit. "This must be some lazy dream. If I start off I'm in a cave." As I would get closer to the entrance of the cave the sunlight would shine in my eyes. I would cover my eyes with my hand, getting closer I would put my hand in the light. As soon as my hand hit the light my hand would light a fire. I would scream out in pain and quickly move from the light. Falling on the ground I would look at my hand and all the skin from my hand would be missing. "My hand!" I would yell out while looking at my hand, but after a couple of seconds the flesh would regrow on my hand. "W-what the hell did my hand just regrow?" I said, moving my hand around I would slowly start to realize that "This isn't a dream." "Regeneration ability activated""Huh, who said that?" I would say looking around, then remembering the webnovels I readed I would remember about the system. "Status." I would say, then a screen would appear in front of me. "Name: ???" "blood points: 0" "Abilities: Super strength and Speed , Enhanced hearing and smell , Night vision, Regeneration, Immortality " "Quests: Quench your thirst by drinking human blood" "Failure to complete quest: Death" "Time to complete: 4 days to complete" "Rewards: 20 blood points and store unlocked " "Store: ▪︎Locked▪︎" "Drink human blood? Only thing I know that drinks human blood is vampires, does that mean I'm a vampire?" After saying that I would start thinking of evidence to prove my theory. 'When my hand touched the light it burned and It pitch black this deep inside but I can see clearly.' After thinking for a couple minutes, I concluded that. "I'm a vampire, and this must be the system, it's just like those webnovels on my phone." I would say. "But I don't feel any different only that's happened was my skin burning, maybe it's because I don't have any blood?" I would say wondering why I wasn't feeling any different. "Well I can't do anything anyways because the sun is up so I guess I should just go to sleep." I would say laying down on the ground I would slowly fall asleep. When I would open my eyes I would look around. 'So it really wasn't a dream.' Getting up I would walk to the entrance looking at darkness I would slowly put my foot out the cave. As my foot would touch green grass I would wait a couple seconds before I would step completely out of the cave. A small smile would appear on my face, then I would start running at speeds faster than a cheetah. I would jump and almost clear the forest trees. I would climb a tree, scaring the sleeping birds out of the tree. Getting to the top of the tree I overlooked the entire forest, I would close my eyes. The wind would blow through my hair and I would start to hear the birds wings flapping. The crushing of grass underneath the animals feet, and people talking. Following the voices I would find a small clearing of grass and multiple tents in it. I would see people with primitive weapons guarding the area around the camp. Jumping down from the tree I was in to hide in a bush but causing a guard to check out the bush I was in. As he got in front of the bush I grabbed him by the throat crushing it in my hand. Killing him instantly pulling him into the bush I bite his throat, blood squirts out the bite wound. While draining his blood I feel myself getting stronger after a couple of seconds no more blood comes out. 'I guess this is why vampires drink blood. It is so addictive I think to myself before getting up I feel the hunger for more blood. 'So this is the hunger for blood I think I'll call it the thirst. Maybe I'll write a guide for new vampires but I call it a night' Walking away I head back to my cave while on my way I hear a ding in my head then a screen appears in front of me. "Mission completed: Do you wish to see your rewards? Yes or No" Seeing this I immediately say yes to open the store after saying that a new screen appears. "Points: 21 |Store: illusions/45 points---cryokinesis/30 points—- Sun resistance potion/149 points—- System and ability guidebook/4 points| Search Bar|" Looking at what I can buy I see that I can't buy most of anything except the guidebook, which isn't a powerful buy but will be helpful. So I bought it leaving me 16 points. After a couple seconds a book would appear in my hand. 'I'll read it when I get back to my house' I thought before jumping to the next tree branch but then I stopped. "I killed a man tonight. I'm a murderer now, but I'm not human anymore and there's no going back now." Reaching the entrance of the cave I looked around to see if I was followed before going inside. Inside I sit on the ground and open the guidebook and start to read. By the time I finished the sun was rising on the horizon and the creatures of the forest were starting to wake. Closing the book I walk to the back of the cave I lay on the ground and close my eyes. When I wake up I start to head back to the camp I saw last night. When I got there I saw more guards than last night. "They must have found that body yesterday, they probably think there's a monster in the forest. I need points and going off the guidebook I get points by killing humans." I say before rushing towards two guards I slam their heads into the ground with crack. "Two points have been acquired" The touch that one of them held fell on the ground causing a fire grabbing the attention of the other guards to rush over here. Twelve guards surrounded me, some pointed spears at me while others had bows trained on me. Getting a better look at them they looked like cavemen. 'They look like cavemen but they have tents that look like native American' I think before one of them rushes me with his spear but I dodge and break the tip of the spear. Shoving it inside his throat, his blood squirts on my face. I like my lips of his blood scaring the other men but they continue to attack but only die. As the last man falls on the ground I tower over him. I grab the back of hair and bite his neck, draining his blood. After that I check how many points I have now. "Blood Points: 30" Reading the screen I wipe my face of the blood. "I could use more points, how many people are in the village?" I use my advanced hearing to hear the heart beats of the people. "Ten people are in the village, the sun is about to come up so I'll leave. And they probably are going to start to leave this forest so I'll follow their scent wherever they go." I say before going back to my cave getting inside I see that my clothes are covered in blood and arrow holes. "Man, I got to get some new clothes." I say before opening the store I buy cryokinesis for thirty points, leaving me ten points. After buying it all the knowledge to use cryokinesis, after that I created an ice dagger in my hand. "This makes it easier to get points." I say before laying down on the ground, when I go back to the clearing I see that all the tents are knocked down. And the bodies have been left on the ground. It seems animals began to feast on their corpses. "Well I think it's time to move but I'll check the village for clothes." Walking around I find a basket opening it. I found some fur clothing. "This will work." I change out my office clothes and put on these new ones. 'Now I just got to find that village.' I think while I run off following the dirty scent of the humans. I stop at a river and the scent stops there. "Damn it they must wash themselves, well there goes thar food source." I was irritated that my money and food had gotten away, when I got a new idea. "I'll just kill some animals, I get 0.5 BP from killing animals. I might get a little but the only thing that can hurt is humans but can't kill me. " [2 months later ] 'I've been killing animals in this forest for a month, probably more. I don't haven't been keeping track of time. But I've got a lot of points but now I've got a check.' After thinking about it, I checked my status. "Name: ???" "blood points: 54" "Abilities: Super strength and Speed , Enhanced hearing and smell , Night vision, Regeneration, Immortality, Cryokinesis, Bat wings" "Quests: Refreshing timer 27:54:34" "Store: Opened" " Fifty four points huh I wonder what I can get now?" I say clicking on the store. "Points 54| Store: Sun resistance potion/149 points—-Illusions/45 points —- Blood rain/134 points—-Bat transformation/25 points—-Bat wings/16—-Blood moon/246|Search bar|" Seeing those prices I see that all the points I collected were utterly useless compared to them. "Well I guess I'll just save my points but those Bat wings look interesting." I say clicking on the screen. "Bat wings 16 points: This helps in traveling, tracking, and escaping. Also can give a little protection from the sun for a couple and can be regenerated by drinking blood. Buy or cancel " 'This is actually what I need, animal blood is disgusting and makes me weak. I need this to find human villages.' I think and immediately buy it. After buying it I feel nothing. I checked my back to see if they were there but nothing. I start to feel scammed when suddenly I feel a huge amount of pain coming from my back. Looking at my back I see Bat shaped wings could be seen under my skin. I let out a demonic screech that could be heard all across the forest. As I feel that I'm about to pass out I start to rush to my cave not wanting to be here during the day. 'No I can't die like this.' As I see the entrance of the cave the pain is so bad that I have to crawl the rest of the way. Getting in the cave I finally passed out, when I woke up the sun had taken my beloved moon. "Damn sun." But I remember my painful purchase from last night looking at my back I see my fully grown wings. "You better have been worth it." I tell my newly born wings. "Tomorrow we go on the search for humans but while the sun is up I gotta get to these wings." I say walking to the back of the cave there was a part of the cave that led to a cavern. I went to practice there, I fell a couple times and it took hours but I mastered flying. Walking out the cave I fly up in the air. I look at the cave one last time before flying through the night sky. After flying for a couple hours I heard the sound I missed so much. The sound of the human heart beat, my body moves on its own. I follow the sound until I find a village. I land on the ground silently and there's no guards. They have a wall though, not like it stops me. My hunger for human blood was so great that I drained the town man, woman and even children. By the time I finished nothing was left alive . I then slept in one tent with the dead body of a mother and child. "I really need a coffin to sleep in cause this is terrible, maybe I can buy one?" I say opening the store scrolling down until I find coffins and there for 4 points. I brought it and placed it on the ground in the tent. It was a stone coffin that had a rune looking symbol. I slide off the top part and step in, I slide it over again and fall asleep. I wake up to a new ding noise. I open my eyes to a screen in front of me. "Quest:Kill ten werewolves" "Reward: Eighty points and vampiric transformation" "Time to complete: One month " "Failure to complete: 567 year sleep" "Wait werewolves? I thought I was the only supernatural beast. "I say to myself before getting out of my coffin I walk out and fly into the night sky. 'If I was a werewolf where would I be? Probably in a village I wonder if they smell like wolf's then I probably need to get used to the smell?' Flying through the sky I start to think of where on the earth am I?. 'I'm most likely in the fertile crescent judging how there's a long river nearby. And the villages I've been feeding usually settle near it but if that's true then if I keep feeding like this I'll destroy the birth of civilization. After this I'll hibernate for a little bit.' After flying for an hour I saw a village I hadn't seen when I came here. "That must be it now, let's see if I'm stronger than some animal people." I say dropping to the ground I laid in out of the village. But that didn't help as one of the suspected werewolves rushed at me. I dodge her slashes not easily as her attacks move fast. 'Well she does move fast. She heard me when I landed so she has super Speed but does she have super strength?' Stopping I allowed her to hit me in the face, it stinged a little bit but not much. I grab her arm and she tries to pull herself free of my grip but tighten my grip on her. Bones being cracked can be heard, I slowly start to freeze her body starting from her arm. But suddenly a man hits, sending me flying several yards away. I get up quickly and brush the dust off my body. Looking at the two werewolves the one who hit me looks growled, but he looks different. He looks like the werewolves I grew up with. 'This could be bad, these werewolves can transform without a full moon. And their strength is definitely stronger than mine. But I still have my powers and some points left so I'll use them.' Flying up in the air I open the store. "Points 34| Store: Geokinesis/ 29—-Illusions/45 points —- Low grade weather control/60 —- Animal transformation/25 points—-Pyrokinesis/29|Search bar|" 'Okay it is either geokinesis or pyrokinesis, they both cost the same.' While thinking of which power to buy spear rams into my stomach. 'Since it didn't hit my heart I should be fine.' Pulling out the spear I cover it with sharp ice and rush at one of the werewolves. The one I'm charging lunges at me, its mouth and claws fully opened. But this is what I wanted, I changed my position and kicked the beast in the side of the head. It's sent flying away sliding in the dirt, when I kicked it I heard a crack. 'One down.' Looking ahead three werewolves left it seems more have come to fight. And with howling in the distance I can presume more are on the way. I grab my spear with both hands looking my enemies up and down trying to find any point to attack. 'Their feet.' I used my cryokinesis to conjecture ice around the werewolves feet. They look confused at first then try to escape my ice trap. But I don't give them time to think as I plunge my spear into one of their chests. It lets out a blood curdling scream that sounds like a mix between a human screaming and a wolf yelping. And after a couple it slowly turns back into a human. 'What that means.' I quickly turned to the werewolf I thought I just killed but it was too late. I feel it jump on my back it's claws sink into my bare chest. I scream out in pain as it bites into the side of my neck. "GET OFF ME!" I scream out in anger as ice shoots out from around me. The werewolf yelps and I hear a thud. Looking at the ground behind me I saw a fully naked woman with ice shards in her body. I don't focus alone on her as I have bigger problems than the two werewolves about to escape the traps. 'Fuck that wolf attack damage my wings I can't get out here. I can only fight.' Coming to that conclusion I make an ice spear in my hands. When the first one escapes I hold my ground and do not move until it attacks. I dodge to the left and shove the spear deeply into its side , blood gushed out as I pulled my spear out. Seeing the blood my hunger takes over as I lunge at the beast and bites into its neck. Its blood nested like a mix between animal and human. I kept drinking until the wolf turned back to human but he looked like an empty husk. I breathe heavily and I feel the bite wound on my neck. It seems that the werewolf tore off some of my flesh, this could most definitely kill any normal person. But since I'm a vampire it heals not as fast since I'm low blood. Looking at the last werewolf I start to feel sick. 'That werewolf bite must have poisoned me. I gotta finish this quickly.' I walk slowly, one foot in front of the other. I make an ice spear, the wolf not being able to break the ice on its feet tries to attack me with claws. But I make the ice cover its entire body except for its heart. It howls in a panic, hoping for the rest of it to pack. But none will help as I shove my spear into its heart. The werewolf slowly turns back into a woman. Losing all my strength I fall on the ground. "Mission completed: Do you wish to use vampiric transformation?" I look at the screen as I hear more werewolves surround me. "Yes." After I said that I feel myself floating above the ground but I'm not flying. My wounds automatically heal and my skin turns a gray color. My nails turn black and sharp like claws. "All abilities have enhanced" "Temporarily abilities have been given: Life steal, hemokinesis, telekinesis" "Time to use transformation: 30: 54" My feet land on the soft grass and the werewolves look at me with fear. 'I feel so much stronger.' Suddenly everything around me goes slowly. Looking around I see a werewolf lunging at me in mid air. Not wanting to waste this opportunity I punched the beast. As soon as I did that the world would go back to normal. The werewolf was sent flying and hit the ground with a splat. And then slowly turns back to a human. "You're all gonna die." I sat looking at the werewolves. It only took me one minute to kill everyone of those beasts. Their blood stains my hands. 'That was way easier.' Wondering what I look like I fly to a nearby river. I crouch over and look at my reflection. It seems that my night vision is better because I can see everything, like it was day time. Looking at my face I look way different. My skin is ghostly pale, my eyes are red and black. The white part of my eyes are now black. My iris is still black but my pupils are slit like a cat and red. I now have horns that wrap around the back of my head. Also my ears have now grown and look like elf ears. "Now that I killed the werewolves how do I turn back?" Questioning how I'm supposed to transform back to normal. 'The guidebook.' Remembering the guidebook I fly back to the village I killed. I notice that I'm flying way faster than usual. I arrived in the village after flying for a couple seconds. Opening the stone coffin I picked up the guidebook. Opening it I start to flip through pages until I reach a page titled transformations. After reading for a while I reach the end of the chapter. Closing the book I put the book back in my coffin. Opening the system I clicked on the transformation. "Transformation |End| Time: 27:45" I tap on the on the end button. After that my entire body starts to turn back to normal. The horns on my head sink back into my skull. My nails are back to normal. And skin turns back to a normal pale. "Well that was simple enough." "The transformation ability can not used again until two hundred years from now" Hearing that I sigh a little agitated but it's not I'm going to die of old age. 'I wonder how long I have until my next mission?' I think before opening my status. "Name:???" "Blood points: 104" "Abilities: Super strength and Speed , Enhanced hearing and smell , Night vision, Regeneration, Immortality, Cryokinesis, Bat wings, Vampiric transformation " "Time to next quest: Five hundred and sixty five years" "Store:Open" 'I have over one hundred points, those werewolves must have given me a lot of points.' Closing my status I then place the guidebook back into the coffin. 'That smell is unbearable. I'll just move out here and into the mountains.' Picking up the coffin I carried it outside and flew up in the sky. In the air I turn my head a couple times until I find a nearby mountain range. It took me two hours to reach there mostly because I flew almost to the top. 'But there isn't a cave entrance. I guess I have to buy geokinesis.' Opening the store I would buy geokinesis for twenty points. And just when I bought cryokinesis, how to use geokinesis appeared in my head. With that knowledge I immediately started to push back the rock. Entering my new lair I put down my coffin and stretched out. "I think this is a good time to sleep for a couple years." Entering my tomb I slowly fall asleep. [Unknown amount of time] I slowly open my eyes to find myself in complete darkness. This is scary for others but for me it is normal as I just exit my tomb. 'I wonder how long it's been since I've slept.' I wonder while cracking my neck. "It's not like I can check, unless." I open my status to test my theory. "Name:???" "Blood points: 104" "Abilities: Super strength and Speed , Enhanced hearing and smell , Night vision, Regeneration, Immortality, Cryokinesis, Bat wings, Vampiric transformation " "Time to next quest: Five hundred and forty years until next quest " "Store:Open" "Five hundred and forty years so I've been asleep for twenty years. It only felt like hours." I was surprised for a bit about the time I was asleep but quickly got over it. Looking at the back of my hand I see wrinkles covering my skin. 'I feel a little weak. I need to drink.' I walk to the entrance of my new lair, the moonlight touches my skin. I spread my wings and the wind held me like a hug. In the air I search the earth for a group of humans to quench my thirst. Suddenly I hear a scream stopping to turn around to the direction of where I heard it. Even though I'm a little weak, my enhanced sight can still see a group of humans attacking a village. Flying down I garb a tribal man by the neck and bite him on the throat. While draining his blood a spear hit me in my shoulder but before it hit me I finished drinking the man's blood. So I dropped the man who hit the ground with a thud and then I pulled out the spear. Then I sprinted at full speed at a tribal warrior who attacked me with his spear. But I just jumped over his spear and shoved it in the top of his head. I leave the spear in his head and proceed to grab the nearest human and start to drain his blood. After killing him I see that all the rest of them have run away. "It doesn't matter, I'll just kill them later." When I'm about to fly back to my lair I hear a baby crying. Walking towards the noise I see dozens of bodies that litter the ground. When I reach the noise I find a man and woman, the latter holding what I'm guessing to be a baby that's warped in animal hide. As I walk closer the man runs at me with a wooden club but I just conjure an ice sword and stab him in the chest. Then I walk over to the woman I was planning on killing her and the baby but then I got an idea. *Too be continued*
