Why Are You Smiling?

If only Tristan didn't get carried away by excitement he would have stopped right there but he was just too captivated by merely sitting close to her. He couldn't think straight.

"What exactly are people like me?" Giavanna asked, a sinister smile lingering at the corner of her lips.

"People like you don't leave evidence when hurt and that is why you can't charge an assailant for assault even if you get beaten up," Tristan blurted as if he was under some strong spell.

"Say some more. I am listening," Giavanna urged unfortunately for her, Tristan had snapped out of it before he could make more mistakes.

When Tristan realised what he had done he knew that wishing for the hand of time to turn back was never possible. So, he thought of ways to get himself out of the mess he got himself into.

"Anyways, when I asked if you were alright I wasn't referring to your physical injuries but that," Tristan said his right hand pointed at Giavanna's chest.
