Aurora

"Since you don't have an appetite, I will have one of the maids bring you a glass of juice. I am sure your appetite will improve after drinking the fresh juice," Stacy informed her just before the other maid could successfully pull her out of the sitting room.

"I bet Stacy won't give up on making me eat. I am sure she might even make a big deal out of it if I keep on resisting. I really need to find a permanent solution to this problem of mine since telling her I no longer eat human food is not an option," Giavanna mumbled as she stared in the direction Stacy and the other maid went.

Giavanna was still in deep thought when she got a whiff of a familiar scent.

"Aurora!" Giavanna blurted. Her widened eyeballs tilted and looked towards the entrance.

"I can't believe that I forgot that someone as important as her has ever existed in my life. I must have completely lost my mind," Giavanna muttered.

Her lips curled up to reveal a sweet smile when her sensitive ears picked up running footsteps approaching the entrance.

"That is the Aurora, I know. Always impatient whenever she is excited," Giavanna grinned as she got ready to welcome her visitor which was a few steps away from the door.

"1...2...3..." Just like she expected the brown door flew open immediately after she finished her counting.

"Gia!" She heard an excited lady's voice calling out to her at the door.

"Where is my Gia? I hope nothing happened to her?" the lady asked the maid whose duty post was at the entrance.

The little commotion the lady made attracted the attention of the maids, and out of curiosity the maids left what they were doing and snuck to the sitting room.

"I said where is she..."

"Right here!" Giavanna announced and waved at the lady she had been waiting to reach the sitting room.

The beautiful tall lady adorned in a green jumpsuit with a diamond necklace around her slender neck froze to a spot the moment she looked towards the centre table and Giavanna was there beaming at her.

"You..." The astounded lady choked on her words. She peered at Giavanna's face as if she had just bumped into a ghost.

"You were eagerly looking for me and now that you have seen me why are you staring at me like that?" Giavanna grumbled, her gaze fixed on the lady who hasn't blinked since she set eyes on her.

"You are scaring me Rora and you know that I can't handle a scare as big as this..." The once-frozen Aurora took Giavanna unawares when she suddenly raced towards her as if she was running a marathon with a competitor.

Before Giavanna could fathom what she was up to, Aurora ran into her arms and hugged her tightly.

"Gia, I am so happy you are alive. You can't fathom how happy I am right now," Aurora whispered as she stroked Giavanna's back with her hands.

'I had believed that everyone would rather wish I was dead than alive but I guess I was wrong. I am happy that in this family there is at least one person who is happy to see me return alive?'

Giavanna beamed. She embraced the excited lady back in return.

"I know you are thrilled to see me, Rora, but I am afraid you will suffocate me to death if you keep on hugging me this way," Giavanna's words were supposed to be a joke but Aurora didn't see it as one.

"Why are you unwell anywhere?" Aurora demanded and pulled out of Giavanna's embrace.

Aurora held Giavanna's hand and spun her a few times.

"Thank goodness you are not hurt in any manner," Aurora heaved a sigh of relief after she had confirmed that Giavanna had no injuries or scars on her body.

"Don't worry, Rora, I am perfectly alright and believe me, I will continue to be healthy even if my enemies wish otherwise," Giavanna muttered. She flashed the worried lady a charming smile and offered her a seat beside her.

Giavanna turned and gazed at where the maids hid. They thought they were well hidden not knowing that their madam had long seen them.

"I believe nothing interesting is happening anymore, willing you guys offer Aurora something to eat and drink," Giavanna addressed the maids who still haven't left their hiding place.

Shocked that they had been discovered, the maids came out of their hiding place with their heads bowed.

Giavanna returned her attention to the lady by her side after the maids had left.

"Gia, I know I should have visited you earlier and I am sorry I couldn't. I was on a vacation far away when I learned about the news of your return," Aurora started in a sober tone.

"I wanted to come back yesterday but I encountered some problems with my flight and couldn't return as I had planned..."

"Rora, there is no need to apologise nor feel bad that you weren't able to visit me sooner. I spent the entire day with my husband yesterday and unfortunately, I had no time to think about you," Giavanna interrupted while grinning from ear to ear.

"Really?" Aurora blurted without thinking. Aurora arched her eyebrows as she stared at Giavanna's face.

'Why does it look as if she knows I am lying? Am I perhaps being too sensitive?'

Giavanna's smile faded in an instant.

"I am happy that my brother-in-law spared you an entire day despite his busy schedule. And I am sure he would have stay glued to your side for an entire month if he could," Aurora replied playfully.

"Hahaha... I also believed he would have done if not that he has to be present in the company," Giavanna laughed in between her teeth.

Just then Stacy and Celine entered the room, each lady with a tray in her hands. Stacy carried the cookies and desserts while Celine dealt with the drinks.

When Stacy and Celine got to the centre table they distributed the food and drinks among the two ladies instead of leaving it at the same position.

"I don't want juice Celine, instead get me a glass of coffee too," Giavanna instructed absentmindedly after Celine placed the glass of orange juice in her front.

"You want coffee?" Aurora asked as if Giavanna's words weren't clear enough earlier.

"Why? Is there something wrong with what I said..."

"Of course, everything is wrong with it," Aurora blurted to Giavanna's amazement.
