Two wolves jumped at Raizen from both sides. The alpha didn't attack actively and only observed while being on guard.

Raizen swept his spear horizontally. One of the wolves was injured by the spear while the other one jumped higher using the spear's pole and escaped.

Raizen did another horizontal sweep in the opposite direction and struck the already injured wolf again.

With a thrust with his spear again, Raizen killed the unfortunate wolf which didn't even have a chance to attack.

The remaining four wolves and the alpha were ferocious after another one of their companions died. The alpha abandoned observing and started to participate in the hunt with the pack.

Suddenly metal spikes started to protrude from the ground. The alpha had some level of intelligence as the metal spikes avoided its pack and only targeted Raizen.

But the normal wolves were not so smart in front of Raizen. Raizen nimbly avoided the spikes all the while guiding the wolves into the spikes, injuring them.

The alpha was furious after seeing these scenes and violently slashed using his claws. A phantom of the claws made using mana closed in one Raizen.

Raizen quickly used the skill Dash which increased his movement speed and dodged the claw. Unfortunately, the pitiful wolf who wanted to sneak on Raizen could not dodge the claw and died.

'Oh, it's giving the kill to me' Raizen thought.

Due to the chaos and confusion caused by Raizen, the wolves couldn't cooperate properly and started to injure each other. The wolf pack's main weapon is its ability to cooperate with each other and hunt the prey.

But now, they couldn't do that job properly. Raizen slowly killed off the remaining wolves while injuring the alpha whenever he had the chance. After killing the remaining wolves he became level 9.

Before hunting the alpha Raizen allocated his remaining stat points. His stats mainly concentrated on Mana, Agility and Vitality. With some focus on Strength.

While battling the wolves Raizen also learned the Basic Spear mastery(Passive)

The alpha looked at Raizen with immense hatred in its eyes. It seemed like it wanted to kill Raizen with just its look.

Raizen saw the notification. The wolf quickly arrived in front of Raizen and slashed its claws. Raizen blocked it with his spear but took five to six steps back due to the sheer difference in strength.

Raizen ran towards the wolf as it swished its claws again. Raizen moved sideways and dodged it. He slashed the huge legs of the wolf with his spear.

As the wolf grunted in pain, Raizen inserted his spear into the side of the wolf's stomach and ran across the wolf, creating a huge tear across the wolf's stomach.

The wolf howled in pain as blood started to flow from the gaping wound.

Raizen suddenly sensed two more presences. He took out his spear from the alpha's stomach and looked ahead.

He saw two wolves with one of them holding a hare in its mouth. Seeing the state of the alpha and their pack, they immediately dropped the hare and immediately rushed towards Raizen.

'Annoying' Raizen thought as he quickly finished off the two wolves. He turned towards the alpha and saw it recovered from the huge wound. But blood was still flowing out.

It threateningly growled at Raizen and staggered towards the den. It stood at the entrance of the den like, it was guarding it.

After just a few minutes Raizen quickly finished the injured wolf. The remaining two wolves returned with a hare. But was pitifully killed by Raizen before he even had the chance to attack.

The Wolf many times activated its annoying skill called Metallic Skin which gave its skin metallic property. At that time Raizen couldn't do much damage. Sometimes he couldn't even do any damage at all.

During the duration of the skill, he got injured once or twice but health potions always kept his health at safer levels.

Raizen saw the notification and all the classes that were available for him based on his stat distribution. Raizen didn't choose a class for now and started to loot the wolves.

Reverie doesn't force people to choose a class upon reaching level 10. The players can take their time in choosing the class, just that they level up without choosing a class.

Raizen went and picked up all the loot dropped by the wolves. He was lucky since not many people came this deep into the forest at this evening time or else many people would have tried to steal the loot.

After a few minutes, Raizen picked up all the loot.

'Haha, good stuff' Raizen commented as he moved towards the den. After getting heavily injured by Raizen, the wolf desperately tried to guard the entrance of the den.

So Raizen was pretty curious about what it hid inside the den to protect it with its life.
