ARTHUR POV
As I look around at the confused faces of my most closest allies at my words, well aside from the earthsingers. Leaf even has a smile on her ethereal face.
I continue speaking to assuage their confusion, ""with the sap and bark of a weirwood, a dragon will die. The only issue is getting the arrow to be sturdy enough to make it into the scales. This is where I come in.""
As I finish speaking I pull out a sack. Throwing it to the ground 20 large, ballista sized Valyrian steel arrow heads in the shape of my sigil appear. The serrated edges along the shining silver edge is beautiful, especially with the moonlight of the north shining upon it.
Before anyone else can speak leaf does, "yes, Arthur speaks true. With these arrows fired by giants, any dragon hit will be poisoned by the sap and quickly succumb to it. Paralyzing it in the air. I need not tell you what happens after this.""
All in the council have an understanding dawn upon their eyes. Lord Denlen speaks this time, ""why not just kill him like you did aegon Arthur? I'm not trying to put morgoth in harms way, it just seems unlike you.""
I laugh a hearty laugh at that. Before becoming deadly serious.
""Vhagar is much much much older than morgoth. He's only 16 years old in truth. Much larger than he should be, stronger as well, but stil a baby in terms of dragon age.
Vhagar on the other hand has been alive for almost 200 years. While she's frail and old, 200 year old dragon scales are so much harder to get through than a dragon as young as sunfyre or morgoth. It is for this reason that we will kill her with this method.""
Mag speaks next, understanding his peoples part to play in this. ""And we magnar, how are we going to shoot this beast? It is far far away.""
Nodding my head at mag I answer him. ""Soon those you choose to shoot will be ferried to the mainland by balin and his ships. Once we arrive, I will escort you to the gods eye. It is from there you will kill the dragon. Some of leafs people will be there to ensure you're comfortable and safe from the men who would do you harm.""
Mag nods and again goes to speak but is cut off by leaf, ""yes, the green men will allow passage and shelter on the island until the deed is done. We will also help you to move through the riverlands unnoticed. As while many of our trees have been cut down there, many still remain. Even if they've desecrated them. Their presence will allow for us to minipulate animals and plants around to keep you and you're path hidden.""
Mag it seems got the answers he desired from leaf. With a arm over his chest to his heart he went to see who among his people will shoot the dragon.
Left with Denlen and leaf I decide to ask her something I've been needing to do for a long time.
""Leaf, is there a way to connect the island in a way where none with bad intentions can carry out such tasks? I don't wish to be constantly worried about fools who seek information on me and my family.""
Leaf looks intrigued for a moment before giving me a response. ""Give me some time Arthur. I have a few ideas but I'll keep them to myself until they sre set in stone. Any other magical marvels you wish me to perform?"" She asks in amusement.
I nod and explain to her my biggest innovation to date. Cement. Or as people in Valyria called it, liquid stone. By a process of alchemy they were able to seperate needed parts to make cement.
This allowed my people to make beautiful, wide roads and castles that looked as if they were carved from a single stone.
Leaf again looks intrigued by my ideas and explains it will take some time. But should be something they can do. After she leaves I head with Denlen back toward windsor.
He breaks the peaceful silence we share, accompanied only by the ever present red rivers running water.
""Lord Arthur. The earthsingers. My ancestors. Their glorious. Such majestic beings. Thank you. Thank you so much for allowing me to meet them. You're okay with me informing my father of them?""
I nod in agreement and then decided to use that as an opportunity, ""who am I to deny your father knowledge of his kin? Besides. I will need you. I want to bring the giants to the neck. I will get them to the bite under the cover of darkness. I need you to shelter them until I'm ready to bring them south to the gods eye.""
I had thought he would be angry that I asked him to house the giants. But he smiled widely and answered me.
""I will need to confirm with my father. But I don't see why not. It will be an honor to have giants in the neck again for the first time in thousands of years.""
I nod and I realized we're back at the base of my castle. ""Forgive me. For morgoth has expressed his desire to keep non Valhalla off his back. There is a home close by with nobody occupying it. I hope you make yourself comfortable lord Denlen."" I say getting an affirmative that he didn't believe it a slight while he made his way toward the direction I gave him.
Climbing atop morgoth i ascend the waterfall and make my way into my keep. I'm thoroughly tired after the days events. So much planning. So much. The need for sleep is a sirens call.
Finally getting to my room I give the guards the okay to go see their own families. I will not keep men up all night when I have at least one my companions with me at all times.
So lost was i in my thoughts of killing dragons and building my kingdom I didn't see the beautiful purple eyes widen in shock upon seeing the scars that litter my frame.

Dragonstone, the narrow sea, 130 AC
BAELA POV
Waking up this morning I go to my sisters room to find it unguarded. This surprised me as my parents disobeyed the queens order we were not to have sworn swords. They cared little. The safety of us came before any queens word. My father had agreed on this, outvoting my stepmother.
That she would put her own mistakes onto us is infuriating. We've all seen where such mistakes have gotten us.
I let go of the annoyance I feel and stroll into my sisters room. Only to find her not in it. Odd. She's not usually an early riser. Despite her dragons name being morning, her sister loved sleep.
'Although, after learning of her dreams maybe that's why?' I think to myself while I make my way to dancer as I do every morning.
However before I can get to the cave I'm stopped by jace who looks to be out of breath from running.
I look on amused at my betrothed before speaking, (I know my beauty is a thing worthy of song and sword my prince. But what could have you running yourself to death to see me so early this morn? Have you finally left that stupid honor aside so we can indulge one another?)
Thoroughly satisfied that my playfulness worked to ease the set of his shoulders a bit I take his offered arm as we make our way back to the keep.
Jace breaks his silence after only seconds, (mother and grandmother informed me grandfather and Rhaena left last night.)
I stop dead in my tracks. Out of all of us, the need for adventure remains ever present in my grandfather Corlys. So the fact he is searching for Arthur Valhalla is not a big surprise for me.
No. It's that Rhaena went with him. Adventurous Corlys Velaryon may be, but there are also few men who can claim to love his family more. To think he'd let Rhaena go on such a perilous journey tells me he's confident In her safety. But I myself am not.
They couldn't have taken many ships. As such a thing would be incredibly noticeable. I decide to ask my betrothed.
(And how do you feel about missing out on such an adventure)
His look is one of resignation. (My mother send you to scout. Rhaena to make Allies with powerful lords. Yet I'm here forced to play the coddled princling. It's humiliating baela.)
I can see where his grievances lie.
( we all have a part to play. Not only, but your mother fears for you. You know why.)
At the nod of his head we continue in silence towards the keep to hear the explanation from the queen as to why my sister is halfway across the continent.
AN: there we go. Hope you enjoy the chapter. Next I swear is a Cregan pov. I was so engrossed in the dragons I've forgotten our black wolf.
Send suggestions to me in the comments. I try to answer all of them.
Love you all. Even the negative Nancy's. Live long and prosper 🖖❤️
