A massive explosion ensued the moment my spell so much as scraped the ground near the approach host. The blast indeed caused the mountain to explode, erupting stone, dirt, and broken corpses. When the dust cleared, the mountain had become a rocky crater, bathed in moonlight.

My little party was safe from the blast, so we didn't bother running away from our current position. The Battlemasters? Not so much. With that attack alone, I was able to obliterate at least 20% of their forces with almost double that number injured and unable to so much as move. Still, the ones who survived were no doubt peak Grand Blademaster stage and higher.

Knowing my initial attack didn't completely decimate the enemy, I prepared a second volley. Only, before I could fully evoke the spell, an enraged voice range out,

"WHO THE FUCK DARE STOP OUR ADVANCE!!"
